I thought that was a great review! Also, I’m happy the flight crew hooked you up with something to eat that didn’t have peanuts in it. I’m a flight attendant and, although every airline is different, we can typically help someone out who has a food allergy. The gate agents can’t do much. A good tip for anyone that wants to get on the flight attendants good side is to give them a bag of candy or something when you first get on the plane to say that you appreciate them and trust me, you will be their IFB or IFBF (inflight boyfriend or inflight best friend) 😉😂✈️
Singapore Premium Economy I found to be excellent and I enjoyed the pleasure of being spoilt. Maybe a red-eye flight could be different. I have never had trouble with Singapore customer service and the crews have been brilliant.
8hrs of course no need premium. Sg to NY need premium, and I loved it. I find this review OK. Premium can choose solo seat which I love! And meals in advance too. Therefore, suitable for direct looooong flights bro! 8 hrs no need. 13hrs or more perhaps. Thanks for the review anyway.
Nothing beats the experience of flying on a 380, that was some long take off run. Sorry to hear about the issues you had with the check in agents, certainly not a good start to any flight.
Hi. I always enjoy your revies. Thanks for bringing this flight review. i have been to your homeland and your home city twice and I am coming back again June next year. My first time was in an Emirates a380 in business class and you are rigt it is a giant plane. Second time, last year was outwith KLM and Malaysia and back with my second favourite Qantas and then Air France. Next year it will probably be with Lufthansa on their iconic 747 in first class. I have always wanted to fly a 747 ever since i say one on a training flight at Manchester Airport in the early 1970's.
Great review on the premium economy product of SQ. Only flown economy with SQ and while the PE experience gives a better seat, the price isn't always worth it. Like you, I have a hard time falling asleep sitting up. What confuses me is the nut allergy concern. No airline will ever claim to fly nut free, but some airlines offer a nut free meal upon request in advanced. SQ offers this service. I too have a nut allergy, ahead of my 12 hour economy flight I called the airline and requested a nut free meal. They accepted this no problem and on board I was given a non-strict nut free meal (NFMLA) after they confirmed with me and put a sticker on my seat to indicate the special meal. Unsure why the gate staff had such a problem with it. For me, I have to consume nuts to have a reaction, maybe yours is airborne allergy where someone next to you eating peanuts could cause a reaction in which case, it's difficult to fly any airline as passengers can still bring nut products onboard.
Nuts and peanuts are totally different. It is very difficult to get a peanut free flight unless a small airplane. Cathays Pacific were a nightmare for this.
Honestly would love to fly business for comfort factor but no way is the amount of money airlines charge for it worth it. Economy ain't that bad : ) and flying is expensive enough haha!
They have improved their premium economy which i think they needed 1st in economy and premium you can get free wifi and 2nd they have china plates and metal cutlery which is a good touch now is real good sorry it was not great 👍
Thanks for this. Actually, my criteria now starts with these points: I refuse Boeing aircraft - period. I do love the A380. My first A380 was economy with Qatar. It was absolutely superb. Bangkok to Munich.
Premium economy is just economy plus a little extra room and is definitely not worth it. Only business and first class are premium products. Anyone aged 55 and over doing a long haul flight from Australia really should do what they can to travel in business or first class.
Are you a terrorist? No. Ok, Welcome on board. I have a peanut allergy. [Gets surrounded by armed guards with assault rifles! ] 🙂 I had been to Thailand several times. We normally pre-pay things like airport and departure tax. We showed our franked tax receipts at departure, and armed guards said they were not "valid" [yes I checked later, they were], but they made us pay again. We just wanted to get back home. Back in the day, a tour group in Asia collected all our passports and tickets. I hated it. I was "good service", meant to ease your travel of the normal drudgery. Everything went OK, but giving important documents to strangers is not OK, in my book.
I have flown through Changi several times and would say it is more than dated compared with the likes of Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Istanbul and Seoul. Abu Dhabi and Seoul are my favourite ones, although the first class lounge in Abu Dhabi is far from the best.
For the price not worth paying. So what if it is 380? Old plane only just that it is maintain to make it look new again. Food looks unappetizing. If for the price 2500sgd haha.I will book bussiness. So what it has a connection. I paid 2k for bussiness on VN. Super cheap. Get 10x better food and service. Btw new aircraft a350 5-6yo. Not some 10yo.
Good for you, I tried premium economy on the a380 form Singapur to Frankfurt and the experience was a million times better than in regular economy, well worth the additional costs. Business would have been a lot more
I won't fly with Singapore Airlines even if it's for free The Crew need to be well qualified to appreciate the custom of Asian passenger. They're very selective, who deserves the service with a smile. If you're Caucasian, they will Kowtow, pamper and pooch them. The attitude towards the Asians are biased and racist. What do you expect, most of the crew are Chinese, with a sprinkling of Malays and Indians. Ethiad and Qatar and someother Airline crew are appreciative and treats everyone equally with Respect.
Great video, great content
Thank you, you are getting better and better
Your footage of takeoff and landing reminds me why I love flying A380 - it's _quiet_ and comfortable even in economy
I flew Singapore A380 to Sydney and from Melbourne on 21 Oct and 4 Nov last year!

Great review DJ, I have flown Singapore Airlines Premium Economy between Singapore and Melbourne, and I really enjoyed it
Surely Singapore's Premium Economy layout is 2-4-2, not 2-2-2, i.e. 8-across compared with regular economy 10-across?
Flying A380 Premium Economy, Aukland-Singapore-Heathrow tomorrow.
Singapore Premium Economy I found to be excellent and I enjoyed the pleasure of being spoilt. Maybe a red-eye flight could be different. I have never had trouble with Singapore customer service and the crews have been brilliant.
What amazes me on a flight from Singapore to Brisbane or Sydney, for example, is that most of the flight will be over Australia.
The food and drink service is being upgraded on premium economy from Monday

2:44 it really is a sight to behold ;)
Really nice and informative video, kudos to DJs

Why SQ has those contactless payments in every seat but never use? Even in their last generation of seat already exist

Omg we got so lucky in Perth we got to skip bio security which is pretty lucky
Departure gate B4…. Where the passengers are incapable of following boarding procedures.
We need to get you enough subscribers to move you up to. Business class!

I can't sleep sitting up either despite investing in various pillows etc

Seat number please?
Hahaha 🤣 really fun
Thanks for this.

I think Boeing 777s are fine, 787 I would be a little weary but 737max ❌❌❌
@@BobBrown. Even a fricking 30 years old 767 still safe af 😅

Should fly another airline next time.
😱💩 Don't give up your day job ... lacking any real information 😫🤔

Worth it but if I fly on Emirates A380 premium economy, Emirates is better.
STOP
