Amazing video and I love the yarn. My sister was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and I want to make this for her as a lap blanket for her chemo treatments. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all.
Wow! just when you think you've seen all the granny stitches another stunning one pops up. I'm a fan of your V stitch blankets and I can't wait to try this. 🌺
@Blossom_Crochet, Thank you for the introduction to this lovely stitch. This is my first video of yours that I have watched but I am now subscribed and so will be working with you again, as it were. You asked us to tell you if we would like to see you "blocking" your squares and I for one would be very grateful if you could video that as I have never heard of it and it has made your larger, brighter coloured square look superb, so Yes Please to the Blocking video and thank you for taking the time to show us all these amazing crochet stitches and techniques.
I'm a absolute beginner and I love the way u teach ur patient and ur thorough with explaining and I don't like everyone tutorial and I don't mind watching this video over and over I almost got it and just to let u know I have been crocheting for 2 and a half weeks and I love crocheting with all my heart thank you so much
Thank you for this lovely tutorial! I'll be using this to make a baby blanket for a coworker using a light dove grey for the main part of the square and white in single crochet for the last round of the square, and then join the squares with white.
Thank you so much for this. I absolutely love your tutorials. Your teaching methods make learning stitches so easy. I always look for your tutorials first when I want to learn something new. ❤️
Thank you for sweet and simple square! Im enlarging it into a receiving blanket. Works up so quickly! The only modification I ve made was to ch 2 in the corners after the 3rd round, as the pretty pattern was established and I preferred the spaces a wee bit smaller. Your video was clear and enjoyable.
Yup. I did the same. Chain 2 in corners made it less ruffled. Also: instead of slip stitching into the starting chains/dc, I slip stitched directly into the chain space at the center of the V. That avoids that extra gap that is created by a slip stitch join.
I don't even know what blocking is so I must have a video! Yours looks fantastic and I want mine to look like that so thanks for the wonderful videos! I really enjoy them.
What type of border would you suggest? I am making a granny square blanket using various types of granny squares. I'd like one that would work for all. Love the color of your yarn
What a pretty twist on the granny square. I really enjoy your videos. You're detail oriented, and I appreciate that. Thank you for your help and wonderful ideas!
I was looking for a quick & easy square to make some panels for a toilet roll holder, & I stumbled upon this awesome video! Thank you so much. I think my mum's going to love her Xmas present, as this just sets itboff 😊💗
Ive just started my v stitch blanket and thank you so much it's looking fabulous and it's all thanks to your amazing tutorial. Look forward to watching your others. 🌸🌸🌸
I love what you came up with for the v stitch. The v stitch in my favorite on to do.i have found out lots of different stitches on you tube and Pinterest. I have been crocheting fo50 yrs now and to learn some new stitches is really greay
I'm using the Sweet Roll Yarn from Premier Yarns and the name of the yarn is Raspberry Swirl. It's coming out really pretty and I'm in love with this pattern. I'm doing this for a baby shower present. Thanks for sharing this pattern with us.
Love you pattern going to make a baby blanket so simple and easy you explained each stitch in detail were you can understand what going on with your project
I’m in the USA but I really like your pattern. I like that you reminded us that you’re using a double crochet in USA TERMS. THANKS FOR THAT. I would include a picture of what I started here but I can’t find a way on UA-cam to include a picture.
I like this stitch a lot. It was a great tutorial it was very easy to follow-along with and I love the outcome. I would love to see how the blocking is done.
Thank you it is beautiful , just trying it now, it grows fast, and is light wt too, I would love to see you blocking using the board, as I am new to crochet. You have made it so clear and easy to follow, a very big thank you 💐 looking forward to viewing all
Love this pattern! You do very well explaining what you are doing. Took a couple of tries, but that's just me. I would love to see a video on blocking. Still learning!
I think this is what I need to try. Nothing feels right with the particular yarn I'm using. It's a 4 weight yarn but feels heavy with any tight pattern so I think a more open airy pattern might do the trick. I will definately give this a try. Thank you
If you were changing colors with this pattern how do you hide your ends? You are an excellent teacher, one of the best I've listened to and watched. You make everything so very clear. I am looking forward to watching the rest of your videos and learning whatever you have to teach me
I love this stitch but I've never seen it in a granny square! Great video, thanks so much 😊 also love your accent!!! I'm from Yorkshire but I live in Canada so it's great to hear the sound of home 😊
this looks great thanks so much will do a baby blanket for charity l work for here in Ireland, never seen a square in the v stitch before looks great!thanks again,
[UP post msChrissiiii 1 ano atrás Please help...after round 3 I can see its starting to curl. By round 7 it was so wavy on the edges. I'm using James brett party pattern with the correct hook. I am baffled...] After round 6 same problem. Undone many times ... Can you help us? Thank you
Great explanation, very clear, mine is wavy but can u tell me if I am using the right hook for my wool please. I am using Caron cakes and using a 5.5 hook, is the size okay? Or is it the reason it is wavy? Thank you so much x
If you are a loose knitter like me , do not do any chain ones after the first row, only 3 chains in each corner , see how that goes mines not ruffling , flat and a nice square :)
I love all your tutorials .... Thank you so much! I've been wanting to make a v-stitch square for quite some time, but could only find the pattern in graph form. I'm very much a visual learner when it comes to crochet, and your tutorials help me enormously in this way.
So, I'm making a small square blanket using Hygge Yarn by Red Heart. Needed an easy pattern as the yarn is fuzzy. I figured I would do this V stitch you have here and just work my way out until it's the size I want. But it becomes wavy. Any advice? I will block it when it's done. Hope that helps.
Presentation on the stitch Square where I want to know you’re talking about blocking after you block does it ever go back or do you have to block every time you wash something you’ve got to block it again or is one blocking are you have to do I hope you can understand what I just wrote
Hi Victoria, apologies but I don’t get chance to go through my comments every day. As for the blocking, I tend to do mine just the once for blankets etc but for my shawls I try to dry them flat and in the shape that I want them to be 👍🏻
Mine doesn't look quite the same as yours, but it's my first square so have to say I'm still rather pleased with it! Thanks for the easy to follow instruction. Hopefully, the next one won't take me over two hours again!
Any problems with making a very large square? Meaning, is it recommended that you turn every now and then? I’ve seen that recommendation for a moss/linen square for a blanket. Thanks!
I love this stick and have just started to learn crocheting, using a lot of your videos. I am making a blanket out of this stick BUT I am finding that it is not staying very flat, almost stretched on the sides. What am I doing wrong? First ever square blanket.
Hi hun, it's Deb 'Purplenanny' I'm on my kindle. This V stitch is gorgeous, I love your tutorials. You explain it spooky easily. 😊 xx I'm making a baby girl blanket and the lacey detailing of the pattern is perfect. I would be interested to see how you 'block' the squares. Please keep making your tutorials Rebekka, you're fantastic and I've learnt an immense amount from you. 💜🌈😘 xx
It's because there are so many increases. I suggest a couple things: use two chains at the corner instead of three. Slip stitch directly into the center of the V when you join the round. Blossom is the best when it comes to assorted grannies. Love her❤
Perfect. Exactly what I needed for my project with chunky yarn. This is not a stitch eater. Thank you!
I love a V-stitch. It makes such a great square. Thank you for this tutorial.

Love it! I really like blankets in the round and have been looking for a new version besides granny!
Have you seen Which Way Filet by Fiber Spider? It makes a really cool looking square.
Loving this stitch, how do I make a hexagon with this stick? Just a beginner.
My guess would be to do 8Vst in your beginning circle, to create your 8 corners, then continue on with the Vst pattern as in the video....
If you were changing colors with this pattern how do you hide your ends? You are an excellent teacher, one of the best I've listened to and watched. You make everything so very clear. I am looking forward to watching the rest of your videos and learning whatever you have to teach me

I've tried this pattern on several types and textures of yarn and it always start rippling/waving. How do you stop that?
Me too!
It sucks because I think it would make a beautiful summer bedspread.
question - what are your thoughts on turning every row as on your perfect granny square and maybe start in the corner.......
Great tutorial. Easy to follow. And yes I heard your tummy rumble. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🧶🧶🧶🧶
Love this video. Can I just keep going around and around till I get it as big as I like, like a granny square blanket? Thank you so much

Very pretty pattern. ❤ it.

Thanks for the tip. I’m a loose crocheter.
I just love this! I've never seen anything like it.

How do you stop the square going out of shape. Should I be turning me work after each round
I just watched your V stitch granny square video with the skipped row/every 5 rows round. Would that technique work with this square as well?
I think I can make self blanket with this stitch? Thanks☺
+ladydarcy4u That's great!
Thanks for all the tutorials I've learnt a lot !

I would like to see your video on blocking please.
Would chaining 2 instead of chain 3 in the corner, keep it from getting wavy?
Hello, I love all of your videos🥰 im making this v-stitch granny square into a continuous blanket but its starting to fan out...is this normal?
It's because there are so many increases.
I suggest a couple things: use two chains at the corner instead of three.
Slip stitch directly into the center of the V when you join the round.
Make your chain one for the V stitch a bit snug.
And make your dc stitches plenty tall. If you have trouble with that/your tension is tight, you might try an extended dc instead.
