Great review! I leave my opinion here as well for people who think about it: I had the LG Gram 17 (2023) with I7, 32GB Ram and RTX 3050 for testing but send it back. -> I needed a mobile notebook with large screen for photo-editing as professional and graphic design as a student. Positiv: - Weight. It is the absolut best. LOVE it. - Display: Great color, good black. Lovely for color correction with the 100% DCI-P3 coverage, I love that it is not glossy (I hate the reflections). I don't think my version had an OLED display - design & quality -> I expected a wobbly display because of the thinness. However, it is more stabile than I expected. It also doesn't look like plastic to me - trackpad -> i liked it - fan noise is quiet - Face ID Average: - ports: It was quiet hard to put in a USB-Stick, I think it will get better after use - it could have some more but it is ok - audio was better than expected Negative: - keyboard: It feels and sounds cheap and it is very loud while typing fast. I get tendonitis quite fast and my fingers and arms hurt after 1 hour writing. Also my fingers seem too light: I needed to go back three times in one sentence to add a missing letter. Also for German: The QUERTZ-layout is a little bit different for "+", "#" and "enter" than normal. - it got hot just by downloading the adobe cloud programs. I don't know if that is bad, but it was very hot, the keyboard got warm, too, in the middle. All in All it is great for mobility but since I also need to write etc. on it I decided against it just because of the keyboard sadly. I hope they work on it and when I need a new notebook in five or more years they fixed that xD The price is expensive (mine costed 1600€) and yes, you will get much better performances for that price, BUT: No windows-laptop is as light as this one in 16-17 inch. And I am willing to pay for that. The other laptop I was testing was 16 inch and with charger 3,8kg. The LG with 17 inch only 1,4.
Nice channel, I would definitely go a step further and take the bottom off the laptop and show the insides and show that there are two NVME slots inside the laptop for everyone to see in case someone would like to upgrade the storage later, it's nice to know that they can do that. I think that's what people are mainly worried about with this laptop, it was hard for me personally to find that information.
Love watching your channel grow! Glad you are getting some bigger sponsors for the videos as well. Hope this is providing some new fun things for you and your family!
hmm on 7:39 its look like screen is not matte, but its only at this moment of video.. maybe because screen is off :). at all notebook is incredible.. 1kg of weight in 15.6 inch notebook.... and 10 hours of real working time... wow... will buy it definetely! its some kind of definition of what is realy good notebook. its realy good for taking it with you in cafe or long road - its lightweight and with long battery life. what else we need in notebook, I don't know :)
Just found your channel and I wish I found it sooner. My only recommendation (as respectfully as possible) would be lessen the echo in your microphones recording. Fantastic videos
I bought it and sent it back after 7 days. What was important to me was anti-glare, no larger than 16 inches (here 15.6), quiet, slim. It is mainly used for multimedia, streaming, office. Hardly useable for playing videos because the color reproduction (red) is completely exaggerated. Unfortunately there is only 1 preconfigured color setting. Manual calibration results in little to no change. HDR mode would be a solution, but it is not an option for me, as soon as dark areas appear in the video, HDR mode causes pixel mush. The 60Hz panel is also not optimal. It should be 120Hz. The panel comes from Samsung. That's why I'm surprised why 120Hz wasn't chosen. The encryption of the hard drive, which is switched on at the factory, should be deactivated. The encryption slows down the device and occasionally micro-stutters occur in videos. Out of frustration, I then purchased a cheap LG Gram 16 model year 2022. Big shock, surprising amount of clouding and IPS glow. My 4 year old Asus Vivobook S15 can do that better.
LG gram 17 inch ..very expensive and after1.5 years the tracker does not work and repairing ANY part is very very expensive..for that price one can buy a new unbranded laptop

there are no matte OLED's as far as i know
wobbly screen on such thinness is expected
Port selection is a dealbreaker
Just use a hub.

Hypercardiod mic best for reflections inside
Well the microphone of LG is really good in my opinion
Considering the size it’s pretty impressive
Fam noise with casual use?

You were gifted the laptop by LG. Doesn't that mean your review can not be impartial .
