I bought my ps4 2 years ago, Got a bundle of games dirt cheap. Consoles are not like before, they sell you crap now, they build their business off people's pockets and then sell it right back to us. we older caps play the waiting game. When I am done with all the goodies in about 3 years I will look into an xbox x.

They should put EVERY PlayStation Hits/PlayStation Greatest Hits game on a beefed up PS Now. That'd be nearly 200 PS games, over 300 PS2 games, around 100 PS3 games, and 44 PS4 games (that number needs a boost). (Edit: for clarity)

Before, one dollar made 1500 Lebanese pound, but now one dollar makes 8000 Lebanese pound. The original price of the ps5 is 400-500 dollars, but in my country it costs 1050 dollars. If the dollar was still making 1500 Lebanese pounds it would cost 1 500 000 Lebanese pounds which is not that expensive, but since the dollar is now 8000 Lebanese pound it costs 8 800 000 which is a pigeon price if you know what I mean. If it costed 8 800 000 Lebanese pounds and the dollar still made 1500 Lebanese pounds IT WOULD COST BETWEEN 5000 AND 6000 DOLLARS. So my point is that the ps5 is so expensive in Lebanon that I wont be able to buy it soon ;-;

Base ps5 should have came with 1.3tb of storage (double of what it has now). And ps5 pro should have at least 1.9tb of storage. Games are so large now its ridiculous!

@@titntin5178 I have seen 8K displays and 8K TV's, though I'm wondering when everyone realizes that 8K will be obsolete when 12K and 16K are already out for recording and movies are already moving across that resolution, the Blu-Ray is already having a hard time keeping up with the software that gamers should be demanding that games be made in 8K resolution cause 4K is on the way out and people still want 4K for the Ultra 4K movies to look so good that they can see the details on a suit and call foul on it for not being what they wanted.

PC player here: Concerning the dualsense, I am happy to finally have the steam support (I had the controller pre-ordered and got it on launch) but I would very much like it if the adaptive triggers were supported by some games.

Even a good number of 'spoiled rich kids' are going to have to wait for the system to hit store shelves again which is going to forcefully lower the artificially inflated prices. If not totally destroy them in some areas. (Aka if you're in a big city start checking out pawn shops and resale shops for mint condition ps5s. And if you see that the pawn shop is selling them for more than the MSRP report them.)
All I want is for there to be a dedicated messaging app and to bring back the double-tap PS button to go back to another PS application. Because right now, you have to go through a lot of menus and have to go to your friend's profile each time you want to message. You cant just quickly double-tap the PS button to quickly go back to your game whilst you wait for a reply. Also, some people have social anxiety and don't like using their voice. Now that the Duelsense has a mic on it, people who don't like talking or maybe have a medical condition that makes it so they're unable to speak kinda feels like you're forced to use the mic when playing with friends.
For me that's what I'd like to add to the list : 1- adding the trophy list to the quick menu . 2- fixing the internet issue , it keeps disconnecting from the internet that I'd have to restart the console to connect again . 3- some say that the internet issue can be fixed from the menu but it should've been by default. 4- I've faced a problem starting demon souls , the game just refused to start , every other game was working just fine so I've restated the console and only after than the game started ( maybe it's a game issue I don't know but still i must add it so you guys know ) 5- the lack of games that really use the PS5 power ( most of the game are PS4 game with better graphics) 6- some PS4 games that works on the PS5 must have an update to benefit from the haptic feedback and the adaptive trigger. 7- the way that the PS4 was editing the captured videos was better in my opinion, its not as smooth if I wanna edit a video on PS5 to upload it to UA-cam . Don't get me wrong I love my PS5 so much that's why I want it to be better and if there's something you guys want me to check let me know .
I really wish there was some official feedback forum so that we could give suggestions. The console has so much potential and I’m loving it so far, but there’s a bunch of upgrades I’d love to see to the system. Just a couple would be custom quick messages and Picture in Picture mode with any stream

@@OYXOT Joking? Lol. Every PlayStation since PS3 has launched with limited themes because it’s not as much of a priority as having a functional and fast UI. Nintendo still hasn’t added any themes to switch either. It’s not that important imo but I’m sure PlayStation will add them.
Backwards compatibility is something i would go for since i do love PS1 and PS2 games (still play on my PS2 from time to time) but for PS3 games i am going to assume they are just going to release remasters/remakes of the same game like they did with Demon's Soul because if you think about it if they had PS3 games working on the PS5 they would just need to make a patch for those games to one make it look better and smoother and also for the key features but from what i am seeing now so far is they're just re releasing older games instead to you know make more money. The turn off is the whole not being able to use the external cause really the speed will still be there cause of the primary drive and some files while the rest would be on the hard drive or 2.5" SSD which really for the loading times between these consoles and a PC using a 2.5" SSD the load times are very close to each other which also for PC a 2.5" SSD vs a NVMe for games the NVMe would load up a game 0.05 to 0.15 seconds faster than a 2.5" SSD which is pretty much nothing. So those 2 things are main key features and really someone working at Sony saying "who wants to play this" would be a vast majority of gamers out there which pretty much the audience is what they're suppose to please no themselves and for a lot of people i have seen when they saw Sony say it would only play PS4 games as well turned them off a bit because of the fact that for PS1 and PS2 games with what is in the PS5 could make the games look smoother and more clear when playing on a modern TV and while using the Component cable if fine and all would be better through HDMI and to have the games smoothen out.
Im assuming it works like a window switch on pc, and if so, its a great feature. Leave your other game in the background and immediately switch to another one is great.
The game cold boots from the start, it wont just load up from any point. The game switcher just allows you to switch from any gane ot anywhere on thr console
On my xbox series x, it allows you to startup right from where you left off. You could play one game for a week, even completely turn off/unplug the console, and quick resume a different game you've played and you're into it within a few seconds. It's pretty amazing, and I love it
We have been enjoying our PS5 *physical disc version as well! Actually, both the Series X and PlayStation 5 have been an absolute blast (we got both). This generation has truly impressed me throughly and it's just getting started. We need Sony and Microsoft to make enough for everyone. Thankfully, it appears the scalpers are having difficulties selling the consoles they stole from everyone's carts. There is a very high chance that many of them will be forced to sell both their Series X's and PS5's well below cost just to get rid of them just after Christmas. Nothing would make me happier than seeing gamers that were abused by these bastards truly get the upper hand on them. Remember, don't buy from scalpers until they come begging on their knees for help...then take the knife and jam it in sideways. As of right now (I'm not kidding), a bunch of scalper groups are begging UA-camrs to advertise their sales of marked up Series X's and PS5's because they aren't selling! Many of these bastards formed groups that have upwards of 3,000 PS5's between them...it will likely ruin many of them. Don't be a scumbag and you won't have that problem. Finally, this will likely spell the end for many scalpers as no one wants to run a business where they lose money like that. Let em burn...;)
i think the issue of the "quick game switching" is that you have to cut the amount of memory games can access in half so that u can have two running at once >-< or- you have to do some stuff where you basically make a "savestate" when you switch out and reload that state when you switch back in .
No, it’s actually pretty useful. Like for example if you’re playing a single player game then your friends message you to play, you can just hop on the other game then when you’re done go back to the original game you’re playing easily.
Big ones for me: themes, folders, and USB save backups. Also being able to press square to reveal hidden trophies (on PS5 it takes more button presses). I also wish vertical scrolling for the trophy list was available. The new horizontal trophy list looks nice but takes up way more space and is difficult to get a feel for the whole list when you browse. I also miss update changelogs.

Disc drives aren't fast enough for modern games. That's why from the last generation, the consoles would only use the disc to install to the drive and verify that you still had the disc.

The one thing missing that really annoyed me was the lack of an optical audio output as I was Xbox in previous gen and used optical audio. Not a dealbreaker, but just surprised they didn't give options for audio output other than HDMI, considering they're a company that produces audiophile products.
After a few weeks with the new playstation I've noticed the coil whine problem became worse or after knowing this problem I'm noticing it more. Either way it isn't that drastic compared to the fan noices of the ps4 but it's still bothering

What I’ve realised after enough years of gaming is that, for most of these, I don’t care. You could count the amount of people using 8K TVs on PS5 with your hands. Quick resume is really just a novelty, we really don’t need these insane load up speeds. Not having full HDMI 2.1 really doesn’t affect your experience. I get that people are upset about this and the 8K stuff is misleading (for the time being), but the more you play games, the more you realise this simply doesn’t matter. Sony has generally been considered to be the “winners” of the last gen of gaming, so they can get away with lots of this stuff compared to Microsoft, but realistically? I’m going to keep my PS5 for many years, maybe even through next gen, which I don’t see really bringing anything new to the table since gaming already looks gorgeous. I do think that 664gb is very small for modern gaming, but that’s coming at some point so really I’m quite happy with the PS5.

Thankfully most of these points have become moot with time. The rest are unnecessary nitpicks. The backwards compatibility pretty much IS perfect. It's unrealistic to expect multigenerational backwards compatibility. They tried that with the original PS3 and it was a disaster price-wise. It has full PS4 backwards compatibility where the games typically actually play BETTER and that's good enough for me. Hell, even less popular titles like Bound By Flame run. I've run into little so far that I wanna see. I upgraded from a PS4 slim and skipped the pro and so far to me everything seems better. I store my PS4 library on an external drive and they actually run better than internal on the PS4. I think the time and difficulty getting one helped in the long run as it has made me appreciate it more and it really is a fantastic unit regardless of what it may be missing.
Something cool i'd like to see is the micromanagement of audio devices. Some of us may have a gaming chair, pc headphones, tv speakers somehow connected in the ps4. If all those devices are considered headphones at the same time it gets messy, when you want specific input/output of the sound while using a mic. I understand that there are simplier solutions for most of the cases, but sometimes you have to work with what you have. So I wish ps5 has specific options for every device connected, be it with cables, bluetooth or usb.
They didn't aim the console at the monitor community they aimed it towards Console gamers who primarily use tv but this is a feature they said they will add if enough people ask for it

Only issue I’m having with mine is a little coil whine but I can’t even hear it with the tv volume on so all in all I’m pretty happy. Definitely agree with all of these suggestions and gripes tho, it definitely needs some work. Waiting a couple months is probably more worth it
@doom guy PS3 is super hard for Sony to implement. Due to how complicated the hardware is. There’s videos of it but I think it’s just an excuse from Sony. Like hell even the emulation team for ps3 is more dedicated than sony😅

Face plates will probably come out but anyone can get superb results with a DIY approach. Customize is best when it isn't something anyone can just buy.
I think the most important feature is wireless audio support for the controller on PC. The main reason I got a PS4 controller was to chat with my brother when playing and I can't do that wirelessly.
Folders is my top request, having to go threw your library to find a game. plus theres a few games i always play i would like to keep it in the main dash

If the dollar was still making 1500 Lebanese pounds it would cost 1 500 000 Lebanese pounds which is not that expensive, but since the dollar is now 8000 Lebanese pound it costs 8 800 000 which is a pigeon price if you know what I mean. PC player here: Concerning the dualsense, I am happy to finally have the steam support (I had the controller pre-ordered and got it on launch) but I would very much like it if the adaptive triggers were supported by some games.

Even a good number of 'spoiled rich kids' are going to have to wait for the system to hit store shelves again which is going to forcefully lower the artificially inflated prices. If not totally destroy them in some areas. (Aka if you're in a big city start checking out pawn shops and resale shops for mint condition ps5s. And if you see that the pawn shop is selling them for more than the MSRP report them.)

All I want is for there to be a dedicated messaging app and to bring back the double-tap PS button to go back to another PS application. Because right now, you have to go through a lot of menus and have to go to your friend's profile each time you want to message. You cant just quickly double-tap the PS button to quickly go back to your game whilst you wait for a reply. Also, some people have social anxiety and don't like using their voice. Now that the Duelsense has a mic on it, people who don't like talking or maybe have a medical condition that makes it so they're unable to speak kinda feels like you're forced to use the mic when playing with friends.
For me that's what I'd like to add to the list :
1- adding the trophy list to the quick menu .
2- fixing the internet issue , it keeps disconnecting from the internet that I'd have to restart the console to connect again .
3- some say that the internet issue can be fixed from the menu but it should've been by default.
4- I've faced a problem starting demon souls , the game just refused to start , every other game was working just fine so I've restated the console and only after than the game started ( maybe it's a game issue I don't know but still i must add it so you guys know )
5- the lack of games that really use the PS5 power ( most of the game are PS4 game with better graphics)
6- some PS4 games that works on the PS5 must have an update to benefit from the haptic feedback and the adaptive trigger.
7- the way that the PS4 was editing the captured videos was better in my opinion, its not as smooth if I wanna edit a video on PS5 to upload it to UA-cam .
Don't get me wrong I love my PS5 so much that's why I want it to be better and if there's something you guys want me to check let me know .

Backwards compatibility is something i would go for since i do love PS1 and PS2 games (still play on my PS2 from time to time) but for PS3 games i am going to assume they are just going to release remasters/remakes of the same game like they did with Demon's Soul because if you think about it if they had PS3 games working on the PS5 they would just need to make a patch for those games to one make it look better and smoother and also for the key features but from what i am seeing now so far is they're just re releasing older games instead to you know make more money.
The turn off is the whole not being able to use the external cause really the speed will still be there cause of the primary drive and some files while the rest would be on the hard drive or 2.5" SSD which really for the loading times between these consoles and a PC using a 2.5" SSD the load times are very close to each other which also for PC a 2.5" SSD vs a NVMe for games the NVMe would load up a game 0.05 to 0.15 seconds faster than a 2.5" SSD which is pretty much nothing.
So those 2 things are main key features and really someone working at Sony saying "who wants to play this" would be a vast majority of gamers out there which pretty much the audience is what they're suppose to please no themselves and for a lot of people i have seen when they saw Sony say it would only play PS4 games as well turned them off a bit because of the fact that for PS1 and PS2 games with what is in the PS5 could make the games look smoother and more clear when playing on a modern TV and while using the Component cable if fine and all would be better through HDMI and to have the games smoothen out.

The game cold boots from the start, it wont just load up from any point. The game switcher just allows you to switch from any gane ot anywhere on thr console

On my xbox series x, it allows you to startup right from where you left off. You could play one game for a week, even completely turn off/unplug the console, and quick resume a different game you've played and you're into it within a few seconds. It's pretty amazing, and I love it
We have been enjoying our PS5 *physical disc version as well! Actually, both the Series X and PlayStation 5 have been an absolute blast (we got both). This generation has truly impressed me throughly and it's just getting started. We need Sony and Microsoft to make enough for everyone.
Thankfully, it appears the scalpers are having difficulties selling the consoles they stole from everyone's carts. There is a very high chance that many of them will be forced to sell both their Series X's and PS5's well below cost just to get rid of them just after Christmas. Nothing would make me happier than seeing gamers that were abused by these bastards truly get the upper hand on them. Remember, don't buy from scalpers until they come begging on their knees for help...then take the knife and jam it in sideways. As of right now (I'm not kidding), a bunch of scalper groups are begging UA-camrs to advertise their sales of marked up Series X's and PS5's because they aren't selling! Many of these bastards formed groups that have upwards of 3,000 PS5's between them...it will likely ruin many of them. Don't be a scumbag and you won't have that problem. Finally, this will likely spell the end for many scalpers as no one wants to run a business where they lose money like that. Let em burn...;)

i think the issue of the "quick game switching" is that you have to cut the amount of memory games can access in half so that u can have two running at once >-< or- you have to do some stuff where you basically make a "savestate" when you switch out and reload that state when you switch back in .

No, it’s actually pretty useful. Like for example if you’re playing a single player game then your friends message you to play, you can just hop on the other game then when you’re done go back to the original game you’re playing easily.
Big ones for me: themes, folders, and USB save backups. Also being able to press square to reveal hidden trophies (on PS5 it takes more button presses). I also wish vertical scrolling for the trophy list was available. The new horizontal trophy list looks nice but takes up way more space and is difficult to get a feel for the whole list when you browse. I also miss update changelogs.

Disc drives aren't fast enough for modern games. That's why from the last generation, the consoles would only use the disc to install to the drive and verify that you still had the disc.

The one thing missing that really annoyed me was the lack of an optical audio output as I was Xbox in previous gen and used optical audio. Not a dealbreaker, but just surprised they didn't give options for audio output other than HDMI, considering they're a company that produces audiophile products.
After a few weeks with the new playstation I've noticed the coil whine problem became worse or after knowing this problem I'm noticing it more. Either way it isn't that drastic compared to the fan noices of the ps4 but it's still bothering

What I’ve realised after enough years of gaming is that, for most of these, I don’t care. You could count the amount of people using 8K TVs on PS5 with your hands. Quick resume is really just a novelty, we really don’t need these insane load up speeds. Not having full HDMI 2.1 really doesn’t affect your experience. I get that people are upset about this and the 8K stuff is misleading (for the time being), but the more you play games, the more you realise this simply doesn’t matter.
Sony has generally been considered to be the “winners” of the last gen of gaming, so they can get away with lots of this stuff compared to Microsoft, but realistically? I’m going to keep my PS5 for many years, maybe even through next gen, which I don’t see really bringing anything new to the table since gaming already looks gorgeous. I do think that 664gb is very small for modern gaming, but that’s coming at some point so really I’m quite happy with the PS5.
I don’t know why people buy an Incomplete console on launch. I buy one a year or 2, right now it’s a PS4.8

Thankfully most of these points have become moot with time. The rest are unnecessary nitpicks. The backwards compatibility pretty much IS perfect. It's unrealistic to expect multigenerational backwards compatibility. They tried that with the original PS3 and it was a disaster price-wise. It has full PS4 backwards compatibility where the games typically actually play BETTER and that's good enough for me. Hell, even less popular titles like Bound By Flame run.
I've run into little so far that I wanna see. I upgraded from a PS4 slim and skipped the pro and so far to me everything seems better. I store my PS4 library on an external drive and they actually run better than internal on the PS4. I think the time and difficulty getting one helped in the long run as it has made me appreciate it more and it really is a fantastic unit regardless of what it may be missing.
Something cool i'd like to see is the micromanagement of audio devices. Some of us may have a gaming chair, pc headphones, tv speakers somehow connected in the ps4. If all those devices are considered headphones at the same time it gets messy, when you want specific input/output of the sound while using a mic. I understand that there are simplier solutions for most of the cases, but sometimes you have to work with what you have. So I wish ps5 has specific options for every device connected, be it with cables, bluetooth or usb.

They didn't aim the console at the monitor community they aimed it towards Console gamers who primarily use tv but this is a feature they said they will add if enough people ask for it
I really hoped for a list including software wise functions like a browser, a newsfeed for the achievements of friends or even designs..
My external drive works fine with my PS5. Literally been using it since day 1.
The most important missing feature is the zoom, i need it. The menus and some items' descriptions are way too small to be read, and you can't make them bigger.
there are accessibility settings. i think you can up the font size there

Well I'm like you but listen. I will probably wont be able to buy it soon. You see I live in Lebanon and there the economic crisis is horrible. Before, one dollar made 1500 Lebanese pound, but now one dollar makes 8000 Lebanese pound. The original price of the ps5 is 400-500 dollars, but in my country it costs 1050 dollars. If the dollar was still making 1500 Lebanese pounds it would cost 1 500 000 Lebanese pounds which is not that expensive, but since the dollar is now 8000 Lebanese pound it costs 8 800 000 which is a pigeon price if you know what I mean. If it costed 8 800 000 Lebanese pounds and the dollar still made 1500 Lebanese pounds IT WOULD COST BETWEEN 5000 AND 6000 DOLLARS. So my point is that the ps5 is so expensive in Lebanon that I wont be able to buy it soon ;-;
Only issue I’m having with mine is a little coil whine but I can’t even hear it with the tv volume on so all in all I’m pretty happy. Definitely agree with all of these suggestions and gripes tho, it definitely needs some work. Waiting a couple months is probably more worth it

@doom guy PS3 is super hard for Sony to implement. Due to how complicated the hardware is. There’s videos of it but I think it’s just an excuse from Sony. Like hell even the emulation team for ps3 is more dedicated than sony😅

No it shows how many hours played on the games youve played on ps4 and i think also previous consoles! Go to your Profiles and games, you'll see hours spent on the game

3. Some older consoles can't even be hooked up to modern TV's without adapters and stuff.

Face plates will probably come out but anyone can get superb results with a DIY approach. Customize is best when it isn't something anyone can just buy.
I think the most important feature is wireless audio support for the controller on PC. The main reason I got a PS4 controller was to chat with my brother when playing and I can't do that wirelessly.
