@@oukie666 where are they selling them in stores? Everywhere I've seen has been online only, that's the problem. Put them physically in stores and put a one per customer limit, more people would have them vs the grimy scalpers
Sony has some random times when you can directly buy it from their online store even when there is no official announcement, but not many people know about that and miss it. Just keep an eye out for those. I landed mine the same way.
Get over it, this reminds me of all the kids and adults bitching because they didn't make enough tickle me elmos for Christmas, then the next Christmas they made so many that nobody wanted them anymore. If you want one they're available at StockX/ ebay, and if you really can't afford the extra $200 then what the hell are you doing buying a $500 toy jn the first place?? Like yea it sucks the scalpers or whatever but that's just how the market is now, and enough people participate in it to make it worthwhile. So just save up a couple hundred extra dollars and buy it off ebay then you can finally enter the next Gen 😎

there are alot of "Multiconsoleros" out there. If there's something to complain, then hopefully with a reason. But i know that there are also some ppl out there, praising the sun... i mean there favorite Console/Company like they are the holy grail itself. Sometimes i feel sry for ppl only seeing one thing and totally ignore others for the wrong reason. I have fun playing Games like Dark Souls, God of War ect. but also like playing Mario Odyssey, Kirby Star Allies or Luigi's Mansion. At the end: it's about the Games, not just the Console/Handheld itself. And i have no problem playing Halo, if there are at least a few more Games, so buying another console is worth it. Physical Games btw. i know how much value Gamepass has. If you don't care if it's digital only, you get your moneys worth and more games, as you are able to play.
Yeah.. but all they ever really do is say they like it, they are looking forward to it, they are excited about it, they have enjoyed it. They almost never criticize anything.
I finally was able to see the console in person just the other week. It's crazy to me that it's easier to order a Tesla and have that appear in your driveway than it is to even SEE a goddamn PS5, let alone purchasing it. I refuse to buy one for resale prices from a scalper.
Fr fuck all of those dirtbag scalpers, sony is gonna flood the market with em and they will cry about it because everyone will know they are 500 dollars and not 1200 dollars 😂
It's unreal just how damn fast time has been passing lately, I still remember being excited about it back when it was announced like it was yesterday Update: As of today November 20th I have officially acquired one. Be patient bros, your time will come eventually
I got lucky and got one in a raffle. While I still feel there still a dearth of next-gen games, the ability to play ps4 games with much better hardware is a great experience. So many unfinished PS4 games that I gave a second chance just because it plays and runs better on the PS5. Devs giving out free PS5 upgrades on their old games is a great thing as well.
Theres actually a decent of amount of games an exclusives it just comes down to taste , my favourite so far has to be returnal but the console is still young an the library is getting bigger , an your right the ability to play ps4 games on new hardware is game changer an i cant wait to get into ghost of tsushima again once i have manages to purchase the iki island update with ps5 buff
I'm with you in the lucky club. I just won a PS5 and 65 inch TV in a raffle! :D need to wait till next week for the PS to arrive though and the TV is being delivered tomorrow. Now I need to get rid of my wife and soon expected baby so Ill be able to play the damn thing 🤣
I have owned a PS5 for 7 months now and I love everything about it. Now I know it’s next gen hardware however I still can’t believe how quick you can load anything on it. It’s so easy and snappy to go from a game to a Netflix show
@@trees1922 I paid 420 euro for mine ps4 7 years ago. It is still going, you can play almost everyting on it and for next year or two they are going to make crossplatform games for ps4 and ps5. I bought ps5 now and gave ps4 to my brother. Could you buy PC 7 years ago for 420e that can run someting like god of war 2? Without any upgrade? I dont think so. Ps4 is going to last for 2-3 more years no problem. Consoles are just better value.
It’s definitely worth grabbing, waiting for it is a smart move as I’ve got it on release and certain games don’t interest me so I’ve gone off gaming and use it for Netflix or Prime Video 🙃 Still when I play it’s very good! You’ll love it!
I still think we need home screen customisation like adjusting music volume when scrolling over games, setting a chosen image as the home screen instead of the background being dependant on what game you are hovering over and maybe a button to travel to a side of the home screen immediately like L1 and R1 for PS4 do because all the games are in the library only the last 10 played are displayed on the normal screen
I've had a ps5 for over a year now, overall I've enjoyed the user experience that ps5 offers but I do have an issue with how you cannot have a theme for the UI. And I really hope sony will provide an update to fix this
I think you’re a rare case with the extreme coil whine. I’ve had mine a year and so far so good. And others I know that have it haven’t had a problem either
I generally stay about a half-cycle behind when it comes to consoles. I don't mind waiting - by the time I got around to buying a ps4 there were loads of affordable games that were only a few years old at that point, and I've been able to rack up a decent-sized collection of great games on the cheap, mostly through PS Store sales (generally $15 & under). I basically did the same thing between ps2 & 3 back in the day. I LOVE gaming, but I'm a patient man and there are still a lot of cool PS4 adventures to be had for me. I'll probably spring for a PS5 around Xmas 2023... assuming that they're even on shelves by then 🤣
I'm on the same schedule as you bro....I'm def delayed (by choice) when it comes to buying consoles/games...I hate to be the guinea pig so I'd much rather wait until all (or most ) of the bugs have been worked out. I've never been one to "keep up with the Jones" !!!
I was on that band wagon - and usually wait for the manufacturer to release updates & even a "slim" version. But with all the Lockdowns we've been having, I decided to get one. I have enjoyed playing on the PS5 - even though a lot of the games have been remastered PS4 games. But the performance and load times have been a godsend. Keep in mind, I was upgrading from a very very old PS4 (that like to spit out Discs on random days). So anything would've been better. Many old PS4 games were on sale or free! So that helped me justify my purchase :) Hope you end up getting it before 2023 - and enjoy some gaming
Yeah. The only reason any sane person would get a ps5 now is if they don't already have a ps4. And I am planning on upgrading, transferring save file, then selling my ps4. Then even later install a 4tb ssd.
It's just so funny to me how when PS4 drops I was 16 and pretty much anyone whose parents could afford it had the PS4 within the month after it dropped. Now it's like some sort of status symbol to own one, it's so rare. Thanks scalpers.
Right? My cousin had one pre-ordered for months so he completely skipped the scalpers, and now there is no chance for me to catch up to my kin because it's practically impossible to find one that isn't scalped, and I will not pay a grand to a fourth party.
@@CompetitionChris in the uk it’s great even when the scalpers don’t get schmucks paying the extra 200 or so to get one they can sell it to our 2nd hand gaming shops and actually not loose much at all, meanwhile the store itself sells it to the public at only 150 over the asking price (actually it’s more like 200 still) what a bargain right?? I've had it since march, it's been pretty solid and games seem to be well optimized. One thing though, I feel like I haven't had the full next-gen experience yet. I think one thing to touch on is the social aspects of the PS5. Screen share and party system have been extremely improved. Screenshare also recently got added to the phone. You can watch your friends play while laying down, it's revolutionary
I usually go back to old consoles for some games regardless of my new gen consoles, but after getting the PS5, with the speed the thing operates on. I gave the old consoles out. I got mine about two months ago. My biggest complaint so far is the lack of customization of the home screen. Im talking being able to organize games into folders, choosing your own themes and colors, changing where tabs go. Its also definitely lacking in games right now, but luckily I still have tons of PS4 games I never played to go through so thats keeping me busy till more PS5 exclusives start dropping next year. Im also big into PSVR and I think its gonna be exciting when the new headset releases cause even older VR games run alot better on the PS5
A year later and I forget what it’s like to be on a PS4. I remember playing PS4 and going back to PS3 and trying to understand how I managed the load times and slow messaging, etc. Here I am again, I know when I only played PS4 it was great. Now when I visit a friend and use their PS4, I’m staggered at how fast the PS5 is at loading and multitasking and have become accustomed to it. I really need to focus on where we are now and appreciate it. I don’t use the cards, I like all the software updates, my controller still looks clean as ever, no issues with the stand or otherwise. Still super happy with it. Oh, and I keep it on a bi-monthly cleaning schedule.
Playing a ps4 after playing a ps5 is actually painful, I compared some loading times and that alone, idk how I dealt with it, waiting actual full minutes for some games to load.
@@Coldoroki Completely agree! I know I sound like a first world complainer. I know. And yet I can remember driving home with my PS4 on launch and being blown away and now am like…. “I put up with this?!” Perspective I guess. Another one I realized is playing cross gen with friends. (D2R specifically) I’ll go into boss rooms first because my PS5 loads fast and I’m in the action, if he goes in first on his PS4, his character loads and the boss wipes him out before he gets control.

I’m getting on well with mine so far, the only problem I have is the change they made to party chats. To me the PS4 parties were just simple and when you were finished it was all wiped away until you were ready to make a new one, but now on PS5 I’ve been bombarded with different parties with so many people in that I struggle to tell them apart
I absolutely love this console. I don’t give a damn about the condole debate, I have just adored this humongous beast and I honestly can’t think of a single feature that I don’t use / is bad. It still looks odd but it is truly gorgeous and works amazingly. My only issue so far is that when you put disks in, it will make a VERY loud whirring sound and this will also occasionally happen in-game. It’s pretty silent in-game. Oh yeah, and Demon’s Souls is the single most realistic and best looking game I have ever played. Zooming in on textures with photo mode makes them look as high quality as most games at a distance, and farther away it could 100% trick me into thinking it’s real.

Just got mine a couple weeks ago. Overall a very impressive upgrade, that’s got me going back to revisit some games from a few years ago. I’m not sure we’ll ever be getting home menu themes back on this, just because of how the UI is designed, which is a bit of a bummer for those that liked that. Also it’s a bit annoying how you can only see your past downloads when your actively downloading something.
Managed to get one in July after the amount of gaming I was doing taking quite a significant dive over the past 1.5 years and getting this console brought back the excited kid in me again. I can't wait to finish work and get home and get onto it. I'm absolutely loving the free PS plus collection games and can't seem to put the controller down every chance I get. I'm so happy with it!
@@seifujin really man. I'm sorry to hear that. I found trying new games that I don't usually play got me really excited again. But the PS Plus collection with like 13 good free games got me playing new things I usually wouldn't have and that has honestly helped a lot! Couldn't imagine wanting to support Sony after they went out of their way to support scalping in order to make their system seem exclusive. Will go down in history as one of the absolute scummiest, most mean spirited, conscious decisions made by a corporation.
Only problem is I won’t wanna buy the new god of war or horizon forbidden west until I get a ps5, so I’m gonna have to try and avoid all the spoilers online
Finally got mine after my wife gave it to me as a birthday present last month Oct. The PS5 sure is worth the hype. Love it, especially the dual sense controller! ❤️
I got one late July thankfully. Have been using cards as well, makes loading into games faster, for example with guilty gear strive and lost judgement to bypass a lot of menu stuff. And I really appreciate devs who add hints and video help with cards. It was fantastic in Kena.
Have to mention, I've had two dualsense controllers, both have had severe stick drift... never had it happen like this to a controller before. Clean hands, clean room, moderate use... it's really the only complaint I have at this point.
Yeah my DS got drift 4 months in. But then it vanished lol. I used a can of air on it and it's been working fine. I got a midnight black DS as well and theres no stick drift whatsoever. I feel like the newer models of the DS last longer.
One of my friends was playing minecraft with adaptive triggers, and one of the triggers literally sprung itself shut whilst he was mining a block of dirt. It was the weirdest thing! I think it happened when the trigger was half depressed. One of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen happen with hardware.
My disc drive version that I’ve used A LOT for almost a year (took me like 2 weeks to get one 🙄) it still works flawlessly. It’s definitely not as quiet as they claimed though, just “more” quiet. Also, being able to PIP a friend’s screen sharing is badass when you’re playing a tactical shooter and have a little window into what your teammate is seeing.
Love mine but don’t play much. The original controller had a trigger go bad on me. $20 shipping they covered the replacement. I also want to say there’s not nearly enough storage space.
Had my PS5 since January, and honestly am super happy with it. Ratchet & Clank and Kena both were super impressive and enjoyable games, and I can’t wait to play Horizon: Forbidden West!
I got my PS5 one month ago through a Playstation Direct Store invitation (that I signed up for before release). I have been blown away by everything. Astro's Playroom wowed me from startup and the upgrade of Horizon Zero Dawn is amazing and crisp. I will most likely be hitting up Control next. Only 97 days until Horizon Forbidden West
I can all but guarantee that Astro Bot 2 will be a launch game for PSVR2 next year. Only reason I'm so stoked on PS5 is because PSVR2 is gonna be amazing.
Companies fuck themselves over by making exclusives and honestly if they don’t meet the expected sales, I’m happy about it’s. It’s tells them that the world of gamers won’t just chase what the industry wants. They’re not going to force us to spend money to keep up. Especially since they release these games during the quarantines and etc. For years after the PS4 was released, several games were still sold for the ps3. Industries tweaked thinking they could force people to pay for a new system that *has so little purchasing ability that it’s practically a rare item* Lol like you know it’s bad when it’s become a meme to say “I got my ps5, yall be safe” to make owners feel superior or sum ☠️
Playstation execs saying new games will only be on the ps 5 because they can only be played there... 6 months later new horizon, God of War and miles game will be on the ps4 😄
Two complaints about the PS5. I got the console on release day so I have used it quite a bit. Keep in mind I switched over from having an Xbox my whole life to a PlayStation. First complaint: I constantly have troubles inviting my friends to certain games. I could be on COD and when I open the user interface to invite a friend to my game. It will pull up invites to invite my friend to a game I’m not even on. Almost like a recent games played list rather than the game I’m currently on. Also, PlayStations party chat is confusing. You have recent parties that you can’t clear and inviting friends to parties just isn’t as easy as it was when on Xbox. Just an overall a confusing interface when compared to Xbox. My second complaint has to do with the PlayStation app. Unlike the Xbox app where you can view clips you created, PlayStation doesn’t give you that option. If you want to view/save a clip onto your phone you have to upload the clip from your PlayStation to UA-cam. Why do they make you do that?? Why can’t they just have an option to import the clips you create to your PlayStation app that way you can view them on your phone. Just seems like a missed opportunity..
I switched from Xbox my whole life to PS5 this gen too, I just felt like I missed out on so many dope PS exclusives through the years and now I am finally able to play them. (Ghost of Tsushima is by far the best PS game to me so far! ). However I will say that Bethesda being bought by Microsoft was a bit of a downside to the PS5 for me as Starfield is going to be exclusive to Xbox, now I always have that looming regret LOL!
The invite function on PS5 is mentally draining it won't recognize games that you are playing only games that you can both play on PS5. My best advice is to just invite them from in the game. I know it's a bit of a drag but that's the best I can do for you until they fix that.
@@DarkJoker11892 Honestly haven’t seen much people talk about this either. I’m surprised we’re 1 year in and still hasn’t gotten fixed. Also glad I’m not the only one experiencing this.
@@joeylearnsjap yeah I don't understand it either. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact ppl are still playing PS4 games on a PS5 and also playing with people on PS4 but it seriously needs to be addressed along with some others. My biggest gripe currently is not being able to switch party chat from the controller to the TV unless I have headphones in. Like I don't always wanna have a headset on but if my teammates are talking when I'm playing cod I want to be able to hear them and not have it come out of the controller. You literally can barely hear that ish
Took me 9 months. I gave up soon after release and just waited patiently then got to were I was searching multiple times a day onn BB,Target and Walmart’s websites. I still haven’t seen any in stores . I finally got one on Walmart. Even when you find them you still may not get it because the sites are randomizing the add to cart feature. It’s really just luck wether you can get it or not.
I’ve had Sony PlayStation since the original so I got a PS5 on the day of release after preordering it a month or so before and to be honest I’ve been pretty underwhelmed by it after moving over from the PS4Pro. The next couple of years I’m sure will be great but the terrible storage size at launch (even though I do have an external drive), crashes in rest mode, lack of an optical stereo out, the lies about exclusives and the incessant stream of 1/2 year old games “Remastered” for an extra 10-20 quid (to name a few things) have just soured the experience a little for me. Obviously this is just my opinion but I have had a good chance to evaluate the system as I do play all day everyday pretty much as I’m stuck in the house due to a disability. One area the console does shine is in the controller department which really is first rate, the haptic triggers and feedback truly are a game changer. I’m sure there are other opinions out there on this subject but thanks for reading mine……….I do wish those people luck that haven’t had chance to get one yet is I really do feel that it’s been completely unfair on them. Great vid Jake as always
Yeah, I’m really skipping this generation of consoles and going back to PC gaming. Specially since I’m enjoying XCloud now, I don’t even feel the need to get yet another console. When I want a “console experience” currently I just plug in my computer to the TV, connect my controller and play XCloud perfectly well (connected via LAN cable of course - the wifi experience is still horrendously laggy).
Well at least you got one pal complain some more about a console most of us can’t get and haven’t even seen in stores don’t like it that much sell it to someone who won’t bitch and moan about it
Good to hear your experience. I didn't come to it having a PS4 at all so it's been really great getting to play so many amazing games for the first time! Storage, yeah, real pain initially and not a fan of the UI, but overall I've been happy. The crashes seem to have been fixed for me so far, even rest mode and external hard drive corruptions. Those were the big ones for me, that and a blank screen on boot a couple times (which led to hdd corruptions). Are you still having them at all? Also, do you find the audio levels low compared to other systems? I find I have to crank my speakers and not sure why.
"Games on the horizon" while showing Horizon. I see what you did there. Anyways so far, I'm loving mine, I was lucky to grab one online on launch day. Although I have to say, most of the games with so-called PS5 upgrades are barely that. Looks and especially performance-wise they pale in comparison to PS5 games built from the ground up like Demon's Souls. And the dual sense is nice but still half gimmicky to me. I still think the DS4 is way more comfortable. Didn't realize the stand was so wobbly though, I'm forced to keep mine vertical at the moment so I didn't notice. I do have one complaint about the headset: you can't adjust it. There are some days where it really just feels too big and I wish I could make it a bit more snug.
I would say everyone has been winning this year. There's been some really good Indie titles on PC along with getting some PS exclusives on top of Xbox exclusives. PS has had some really strong titles, more specifically for single player games. Xbox has had some great games for the multiplayer audience and hopefully Halo can be an amazing single player and multiplayer experience. Switch has had a few bangers like Metroid Dread. But I've also been most disappointed in switch this year due to online stability and a few other things I don't have to mention but everyone will know.
I agree. No matter what console, dev, or company u support. All have been on a good streak of making best of 2021. Metroid Dread on Switch brought new life to a long silent series and modernized it (even the Bayonetta fans rejoiced of finally gameplay and release year to boot), PlayStation and Xbox even been doing good with merging with devs and system sales (I know some are scalpers and hate tht, but some are ppl that went over a beyond, like if stay up at odd hours to get one), game livrary set for 2022 or beyond looks like a great set for next gen consoles now (and yes some are good and some are bad like how Nintendo handled the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion pack, but its been great overall).
It blows my mind that people are still struggling to find one. I’ve had the PS5 and series x since launch day. My series x didn’t get much play time until forza and infinite dropped this month, but my PS5 has so many miles on it. Absolutely love this thing and we haven’t even began to touch the true power of these consoles. With the discord integration coming next year and so many new games, I’m extremely hype.
Lucky… go look at how they’ve downgraded the cooling (longevity of life much reduced) it’s way smaller and less efficient. The launch edition is best as opposed to a usual console release surprisingly
I upped my gaming budget and bought a PC after the last holiday season. Couldn't stand the idea of buying from a scalper, and was extremely disappointed with Sony for letting that problem impact their player base so hard. Nice to know the player experience is still improving. But I'll never go back. Dishonor in community engagement is a hard line for me.
Sony didn't sell the PS5 (until very recently) it's not Sony's fault other large brand names selling their consoles couldn't stop scalping. Also it's not like graphic cards and xboxs don't get scalped too
I haven’t had any issues with my stand but maybe that’s because I’ve only moved it a handful of times. I definitely recommend keeping it laid down not standing, although standing it looks AMAZING
One year later still can't find them in the store. But you can get them online overpriced. And don't forget about the great collection of rerun games. That you could still play on the PS4. Awesome.
@Papaya Madness It makes perfect sense since the ps5 runs silent pretty much and runs all games at the optimal level no drops of any kind as well as giving upgrades to the ps5 version when supported. Backwards compatibility is a beautiful thing. Glad it's able to play those older games.
I work at a tech repair shop. We work on phones, laptops, tables, and game consoles. We have gotten an extrema amount of PS5s. The main issue HDMI, the HDMI gets damaged vary vary easily. Some damage at the connect points but most get damaged from the mother board. Pins lift and pins move, and in some cases the solder pads lift off as well. We have done 2x the amount of ps5 than PS4s.
Great video as always! And yeah I love my ps5. Never gonna get used to those insanly fast loading times and the controller is just grazy awesome to me. That haptic feedpack brings so much to the games. And I actualy really like the cards system and use all the quick menu options all the time
I'm waiting for that regardless. The people who got the first batch had to deal with hdmi issues lol. Then the second batch had a downgraded fan. I'm patiently waiting because I'm absolutely fine on ps4 and pc.

Smart, The last system I bought within 2-3 years of launch was a PS2 and I got it for around $200 and it came with 2 controllers and 5 games.
i know it sucks to not have the ps5 but when you talk about waiting for a PRO version or slim thats just stupid theres no need for a ps5 pro it happened for ps4 because it needed it the basic console wasnt enough for it
I've had mine for a year now too, and honestly I'm happy with it. I'm a PC gamer too, but I've been playing a lot of console games lately. This paired with my PC and Switch is an amazing setup. We could use a few more games, but 2022 is looking great. I can't wait for Horizon II, Elden Ring and GT7.
Also the controller has been pretty fun to play with. It's a nice experience, especially with FPSs. The trigger spring is still fun to press down in Black Ops.
@@howie3601 yeah i love that, now. I'm playing Terminator Resistance PS5 VERSION and that feature (ok it is more a pressure thing that tatatata cod style) is there too, i didn't expect it.
Got it two months ago, and I am glad I did. Currently have Farcry 6, Demons' Souls, Rift Apart, and the Hitman Trilogy, with all of my ps4 games downloaded onto my 4TB HDD, and the framerates on all games are 60fps. I've never been a visual person when it comes to games but the remake for Demons' Souls is amazing... The dragon itself is awe-inspiring. I still need to get my hands on the Sony first-party games to get the full power of the ps5 but love it so far.
Ghost of tsushima is a perfect title to demonstrate the PS5s capabilities. The way Sucker Punch utilized the vibration and adaptive triggers of the dualsense, and it has me excited to see what guerrilla does for Forbidden West. I never played it on ps4, but it's the most graphically impressive game I've ever seen, and that's comparing it to pc titles that I run on a 3090.
Just recently started playing it on my PS5. Can’t believe I hadn’t played it sooner. It’s so good. And the dual sense controllers feedback just tops it off
Ive had a ps5 since February, i can honestly say as a “PlayStation fan boy” that ps5 is worth the money, all my ps4 games feel much better and worth my time/purchase and all ps5 exclusives have not let me down, for anyone wanting it still keep trying cus its worth the struggle to get your hand on it
Im sure GOW 60 FPS is great on PS5, but GOW is already great on PS4 itself, and while it might be worth the upgrade, I can't be bothered to sit around following stock alert twitter pages and losing sleep over a video game console, plus if they're releasing all the major releases on PS4 as well, then who gives a shit.
I really want a ps5, but I'm waiting for a version with a higher storage capacity. 800GB just isn't enough for me considering that all the games are going to need more storage space. My ps4 has 1TB and that's enough for now, but I doubt that 800GB will be enough in the future. Especially when games like Call of duty take up 80% of your storage...
@@labinot1363 yeah plus the console needs a redesign as well, it's eye-catching for now but it's really painful to keep horizontally which is how most people will be keeping it.
One year later and I am still in awe of the raw power of this beast. There are great titles out that display just how badass this machine is. I enjoy every moment.
The jump between PS4 and PS5 is much smaller, than between PS3 and PS4. It almost looks like a lastgen, but that can finally run the last get games in 4K 60 fps. What raw power are you talking about?
Had mine for a year Didn't play ANY of the exclusives other than Miles Morales Planned on buying Deathloop but decided to wait on it coming to gamepass. Planning on buying GoT Directors Cut and Ratchet and Clank soon though. The main reason I didn't play any exclusives was that I was so busy with the Ps Plus Collection. Played Arkham Knight, Fallout 4, FF7 Remake through regular PS Plus and Persona 5 was practically the only game I played from Christmas to Easter (funny story, I actually started P5 on Christmas Day and finished it on Easter Sunday, and recently started Persona 4 on Christmas Day lmao)
1 year later and I can't justify games being 70 dollars now, going to stick to pc since all the games seem to finally be releasing on pc now too! Consoles are getting to do expensive!
Yep I got my pc because I couldn't find a ps5. Love it. And your right the games from consoles make it even better. Tho I'm sure they'll drop that once the consoles are on actual shelves
I managed to get my hands on a disk version and although I’ve had it for only a few weeks I’ve already noticed the significant lack of storage. Try installing a call of duty game and that’s a damn good portion of the SSD gone. Other than storage I love the damn thing, it’s lightning quick (wifi settings had to be tweeked though as downloads were VERY slow)
Yeah, storage can be a pain. Picked up an external drive super quickly afterwards and it's helped, at least with offloading PS4 titles. Curious: What did you do to tweak the download settings? They're brutally slow.

My disc drive version that I’ve used A LOT for almost a year (took me like 2 weeks to get one 🙄) it still works flawlessly. It’s definitely not as quiet as they claimed though, just “more” quiet. Still don’t have one but haven’t missed anything since the games could of been on last gen if we’re being honest

It has been a year and I still haven't seen a ps5
Quite an odd generation to switch to PS in.
Just got mine this week but as a truck driver I have been out on the road. Will be home tomorrow and get to try it out for the first time.
I’ve enjoyed it more than I thought I would vs my XSX. TLOU, GoW and R&C have blown me away. The controller truly feels next gen.
I’ve loved every day that I’ve had mine, I was lucky enough to get mine on launch, hopefully more can get their hands on one eventually
Amen to that
I heard that the adaptive triggers are a common on the ps5
Well at least you got one pal complain some more about a console most of us can’t get and haven’t even seen in stores don’t like it that much sell it to someone who won’t bitch and moan about it
@@zackprice8688 you sound mad over someone’s opinion sir, if you don’t have one just say that and move on
Good to hear your experience.
I’ve had it since release day. Hasn’t given me any issues at all. Great console overall just need more games.
Since release day?! Wtf are you, some kind of God?
Can't believe it's been a year already. I vividly remember getting my PS5 on day 1 and playing extensively as if it was last week lol
Metroid dread is one of the worst Metroid games of all time
Everyone is not winning, you forgot about Stadia :)
I mean you're winning if you have the money to even buy a ps5 or new xbox right now -_-
Winning? You mean the few people that are actually able to get one? A year later...
Wait'll you see what's happening with video cards
Sony didn't sell the PS5 (until very recently) it's not Sony's fault other large brand names selling their consoles couldn't stop scalping. Also it's not like graphic cards and xboxs don't get scalped too

Give me 1 piece of life advice
The jump between PS4 and PS5 is much smaller, than between PS3 and PS4. It almost looks like a lastgen, but that can finally run the last get games in 4K 60 fps. What raw power are you talking about?

Tell me you don't know shit without saying you don't know shit... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@i_am_aaronman nice pfp you got there
And we still can’t get one at retail from a store
I did build a PC though
Had mine for a year
Didn't play ANY of the exclusives other than Miles Morales
Planned on buying Deathloop but decided to wait on it coming to gamepass.
Yeah really good pc games for free like zombie panic source
and those Steam sales are mighty tasty
Yep I got my pc because I couldn't find a ps5. Love it. And your right the games from consoles make it even better. Tho I'm sure they'll drop that once the consoles are on actual shelves
Switch to xbox series x for gamepass
@@patrick._.betaman Why pc has gamepass? There's no reason to own an Xbox anymore since everything's on pc
Don’t forget you can add external storage and an nvme on the inside😎
Yeah, storage can be a pain. Picked up an external drive super quickly afterwards and it's helped, at least with offloading PS4 titles.
Curious: What did you do to tweak the download settings? They're brutally slow.
@@jean-pierrejoubert6140 went into the network settings changed to 5ghz connection and changed IP address to googles. I went from a pathetic 10mbs download upto 278mbs download speeds (now I can get better)
@@sieales Awesome, thanks! I’ll give those settings a look. 🙂
Idk why they didn't give it at least 2TB of storage to start. My PS4 has that much memory, the PS5 is a storage downgrade.
One year later and they’re still nowhere to be found at msrp
If I didn't secure my pre order at launch I probably would have paid the mark up to get one. The funny thing is gamestop had bundles the day it went live for hours and people were hesitant and missed out.
No Joke, still haven't seen one in person yet 😂
