    That really is one of the most chaotic escorts I have ever seen. The driving public had no awareness of what was going on but neither did the myriad of seemingly different escort riders and vans! I would suggest far to many people trying to do the same job with no coordination between them. Distance aside that should be a 'bread and butter' drive. But bless those involved for trying to get the child to hospital as quickly as they can and I hope Tongtong is now doing well.

      I know what you mean! Here we have 2 or 3 motors in front of the ambulance, sometimes a car as well. And thats it.. They pave the way. I see so many lights and sirens here that I wouldn't know where to look or where to go xD.. Sometimes they just are all over, behind, next to the ambulance.. It is chaos..

    Too many bikes in too many lanes passing vehicles on either side at the same time, it must be so confusing for other road users, being told to move into another lane when another bike shoots past in that lane. The Dutch police can do this in much more organised manner with 3 bikes working much more effectively & safer.

    Cheenks do not understand this stuff, unless it is their own family member in the ambulance. The french ones are the best, they really do not mess about, if you have been on the periphique around Paris when one comes along almost all motorbikes and scooter riders are involved clearing the way when necessary. The other thing to watch out for are the Iveco vans, green, and they have the same horns as the police, they will be notified of something on a carriageway and will go immediately and 'fish' it up unless it needs a man to lift it. You hear the noise but automatically think it is police or ambulance but it is the cleaning crew.

    Pro tip:
    If you drive without making any sense with the hazard lights on, you are depriving yourself of the opportunity to display your planned route.
    And the, admittedly few, road users who want to make room don't know where to go, because they can't know which route the special-rights vehicle wants to travel.

    I'm a medic myself and this was a absolute mess, first of all most of the bikes were way too far ahead, as the lane clearing team you should ideally be two minutes ahead at the absolute most to secure junctions, the lead bike should always stick with the ambulance and at least one advance lane clearing bike should be in sight of the ambulance to keep drivers aware of the following emergency vehicles, the rest should be securing junctions and initiating the sterile lane! Also you had far too many escort resources it just creates confusion and causes accidents!

    • @beijingvolunteerfirstaider2203
      @beijingvolunteerfirstaider2203  Рік тому

      Your suggestion is very good, thank you, I will learn a more perfect solution

    • @jakedovey7488
      @jakedovey7488 Рік тому

      Also use the leap frog technique where the lane clearing team go ahead and the ambulance passes before they overtake the ambulance/ambulances and get into position but always keep a emergency vehicle with lights and sirens at the back as a protective buffer vehicle against drivers trying to cut the convoy up ideally this should be a police car to keep other drivers back and if they attempt to overtake the convoy they can stop the offending vehicle, maybe do some organised training alongside the police using a 'escort training vehicle' it can really help with co-ordination of the convoy, also assign a command vehicle which dictates the route and co-ordinates the escort and any special requirements such as pre-arranged sterile lanes and green lights and additional information regarding traffic conditions!

    • @jakedovey7488
      @jakedovey7488 Рік тому

      Another really good tool to use if it is legal for you to use is literally a whistle ideally a high pitched one, it can be used to attract the attention of many drivers or individual drivers who are not paying attention, I actually work on ambulance bikes some of the time and I got my ambulance service to officially include a whistle for all motorbike response paramedics as well as bicycle response paramedics, they are often more effective in congestion and pedestrian areas, you can do different whistle blasts for different situations, in pedestrian areas I tend to use the whistle instead of the siren, they are also really good for stopping traffic quickly and relatively safely, also position your bike at approximately 45 degrees to the road so that you can drive off super quickly you can also block two lanes by doing this and create a angled roadblock making a safer gap for the convoy, if you put the bike at a right angle it is harder to drive off unless you are on a roundabout!

    This seems less like an escort and more like a convoy! - Volunteers or not, these guys don’t appear to have the first clue about outriding and clearing lanes to provide a sterile zone - nightmare - just glad I drive ambo’s in UK !!!

    Need laws or regulations for drivers to move out of the way when they see or hear lights and sirens, too many drivers just driving without a care in the world.

    in germany we have the order as private persons, if you see something on your way (mostly first behind you)with blue lights, drive to the side, slow down and make it hapend that they can pass thru without problems. or you have later a problem with a ticket ;-)
    great work and bigger respekt

    Hello! I love your videos. Is there somewhere on the internet where I can learn about your job? Or can you tell me more about it? By the way, you might want to try the two-tone siren more often. Research Proves It's More Effective than the American type sirens :)

      This is a volunteer, and in fact, it has not been officially recognized. Just do my best to go on -site first aid or escort ambulance. What kind emergency vehicle use what siren in China is Clearly defined. Hi-lo represents ambulance, Yelp represents police car, and Wail represents fire truck. But in fact, I use more rapid sirens in a more serious scene
