Della didn't say much in the Perry Mason series. However, her facial expressions, glances, and stares spoke volumes about what she was thinking. Della could say more with her eyes than Mason and Burger could in the courtroom. The camera loved her, and so did the viewers !!
Della Street: Gorgeous, sharp, efficient, witty, sassy and forever loyal. NOBODY could ever play Della the way Barbara did! She basically was Della offscreen and no woman of this era can really resemble the natural beauty, class, humility and witty sense of humor of Barbara Hale imho.
I love older tv!!! It’s so much better than anything new!!!!💯🙏⭐️🍀🌊🔨🔥🎯🇺🇸👍🏻✊
Just saw this moving tribute to Barbara Hale by her son William Katt upon her passing, ""Lost my beautiful wonderful mom Barbara Hale yesterday afternoon. She left peacefully at her home in Sherman Oaks Ca, surrounded by close family and dear friends. We’ve all been so lucky to have her for so long. She was gracious and kind and silly and always fun to be with. A wonderful actress and smart business woman she was most of all a treasure as a friend and mother! We’re all a little lost without her but we have extraordinary stories and memories to take with us for the rest of our lives."
Della Street was the Ultimate Secetary. Loyal, Trustworthy, Efficient and Beautiful.
I have always been a Perry Mason fan. It is still the best bloodless murder mystery on TV.
Omg Perry's face when she dropped the books!! 😂😂😂😂
That is my favorite scene!
@@dorothythomas9864 Mine too, it's hilarious!!
I really like Della.
She was actually in all the Perry Mason episodes, which Burr was not.
She was a solid character and her own person and TV would not see the likes of her for decades.
she actually wasn't in all of the episodes. she was just credited in all of them.
@@jasminereneejohnson4329 I stand corrected. I thought I read on METV that she was. However, "Barbara Hale was absent from 8 episodes of the 271 episodes of the show Perry Mason (1957) bringing the total count to 263 episodes of the series." - IMDB
I don't think tv will ever see a Della Street again in terms of that classic beauty, brains, femininity and elegance mixed in with a down to earth, good natured quality. The Perry Mason characters were definitely of a 50's\60's stylish era of old school flair that is lost in a more fast paced, cynical world we live in today.
Barbara Hale was a pint-sized goddess. If I was an Army man she'd melt my helmet-liner.
Right on Della
Me encanta Della Strett.😊
Still in love with her
