a few potential fixes for your setup to be more practical.
you can get a 3v button cell to usb replacement. allowing you to power the remote for the treadmill from a usb port. probably be good to mount it under the desk by the control panel.
you can get a vertical mouse to get far better ergonomics with the mouse arm. or theres also ring shaped mice with a trackball that may be even better since you won't need to lean on the desk at all to use that. you just hold it in your hand and move the trackball with your thumb.
ginger can help prevent the "carsick" feeling. either some raw ginger in hot water with some honey makes a sort of tea. or you can get a sweet called "gingins". that are really good. just one of those should be plenty to stop feeling motion sick. (or they're easy enough to make your own ginger sweets)
and it seems like you have enough room around your desk area to say rotate the desk 90 degrees, and have the treadmill always be set up facing the narrow side of the desk, rotate your monitor on its arm. and then when you want to sit down the chair can always be on the regular wide side of the desk. Having both setups and making it easy to switch should drastically reduce the friction of having to get down under the desk and setup the treadmill. Or maybe treadmill to the right, desk on the left might work better, since the legs of the desk might get in the way.

you know wwhat im thinking, what if you add a VR to the mix, it will feel less dizzy trying to focus on a stationary office while moving, and im also thinking about gettiing a treadmill to work because i relate to everything you said in the first video, that's why im commenting now and suggesting to trry a VR headset,, maybe it wll be the ULTIMATE COMBO

I know some people who work from home that commute to their home office by taking a walk around their neighbourhood for the same amount of time it used to take them. I’ve got a dog so don’t really need to do that, but thought that it sounded like a idea

I thought I'd be able to play video games while walking on mine, but the most I can do is stare at the wall lol.
I did end up losing 20lbs while dieting and walking 2 hours a day on it tho, so that's cool

Did you ever walked while typing on a phone?
I think that constant speed and focus on doing most steps is the issue. I think that manual treadmill might be a game changer, but they are very expensive

You just need to buy some smart glasses with a screen on them. For example xreal air 2 with the beam, that can help to stabilize image during the walking. You will no longer feel sick using it instead of your screen.

that will likely make it even worse, since his head is moving and feeling motion but his eyes are seeing a static image.
he can just take some ginger, like a ginger sweet each morning. keep them in a bowl on the desk. that'll solve the motion sickness.

I turn 40 this year and went from a 34" to 36" waist. I am hoping a walking treadmill can help counter the slower metabolism I am having.

Think about manual treadmill, curved one. I know they are expensive and for that I suggest you to build one. I think that natural varied speed will help for office use case.

Just try walking a bit faster on it, emulate the "commuting way": 3 mph and faster, for 10 minutes or so at a time.
"Very slow walk while editing videos" will surely make you sick. Try just walking quickly while listening to music or watching somebody talking :-)
