My favorite item was the ErgoTune Supreme Chair! Big fan of your vids btw @ay3_tito
Sir very good it's engaging video ❤❤ good 👍
I should call her lmaoo
Curve monitor is so hot! @danielgmota
LOVE the awareness about posture and the importance of a supportive chairs. Thank you for the recommendations 🙏🏽
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I love your content man, I love how straight to the point you are. and you actually have no bs recommendations. with everything you do. your new mac set up and productivity apps changed my life. thank you for everything you do keep it rolling bro.
Greatly appreciate this comment man, thanks. Happy to hear the content has been helpful. Cheers
Does the mac setup run smoothly when displaying to an external monitor? Because I have tried the same with my Lenovo Ideapad flex 5 but the display is slightly laggy (hdmi to hdmi). I can see a bit of the flickering when I scroll through UA-cam or some other websites.
Thanks Chris, I am renovating my new place and my office space, so I've been marathoning office makeover videos for some time. This video gave me some clarity and inspiration, appreciate it brother! My fav item would be the CalDigit Tuff Nano with the awesome pocket. I think its a genius thing to be able to have it mounted on the back of my laptop :)
Happy to help man!
Definetely one of the most asthetic and useful pleasing desk setups I have seen in a while with a lot of honest opinions!
My personal favourite upgrade would definetely be the standing desk, since the covid I got moved to working at home and having to spend closely to 12 hours a day sitting down has been very hard and I feel it in my body, unfortunately I could never manage to afford a desk like this. Anywho, keep up the videos I love the way you speak!!
Thanks!
From one guy who spends too many hours sitting in front of a screen to another... I highly recommend looking up "Pigeon stretch", "Lying leg cross stretch", and stretches for the Quadratus Lumborum. I stand as much as possible at the desk, but obv still end up sitting a majority of the time. These stretches will help combat muscle tightness and back pain that comes with sitting 🤝
@@Christomshack Thanks a lot! I will for sure look into them!!!
I think the desk is the best / most important upgrade. This is a direction I need to move in since I work from home and work at my desk all day. Great video, thanks for the good info Chris!
Totally agree! Good posture is most important 🤝🏼
Thanks for watching and commenting
That chair is by far the most influential for me, desk coming next. My posture is something I really need to start prioritizing.
I'm in Canada, does anyone know WHERE I can buy this chair. I'm starting a new work from home job and I NEED THIS CHAIR.
Please, someone give me a suggestion for a website ior something..
I see the muscle pump that you've got mate. Chris has been working hard not only at work but at the gym as well.
Haha, I don't know what. you're talking about man! _Slowly slides dumbbells further under the desk_
Lol 😂
Chris would probably do well doing videos on fitness and his home, both of which look pretty impressive. Why out all eggs in tech basket? That’s what playlists are for 😊
Yo Chris! The pump is real dawg. Ain’t no shame in the game.
@@eastcoast4233Could be on his main channel but making one just for fitness/lifestyle would also be interesting.
Stoked to see a new video from you! It's been too long man
More videos in the pipeline! Cheers
Thanks, Chris. There are some great suggestions. The chair is exactly what I have been looking for.🙂
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and commenting 🤝
Great video, thanks for suggestions Chris!
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌
Love all the tips, it has been very helpful for my new setup. Thank you Chris
Great to hear! Thanks for commenting
Great. Quality. video! I absolutely want the chair. By far the most needed piece of equipment. Keep up Chris!!
Thanks for the great ideas!
Thanks for the great info
Love everything 😍
Looking forward to getting the desk & chair. I need to work more to save money 💰to buy them. I am sure is going to be worth it since I work from home!
Once again for your information 🙏🏼 it was very helpful to make a decision 🥇
My pleasure. Glad to hear it was helpful 🙌🏼
Great video! I'm moving to a new place so this definitely helps!
Totally unrelated but you gotta drop that bicep workout too lol. 💪💪💪
Haha, heavy weighted chin ups and compound movements 🤝
Cheers bro
What a helpful video! I'm looking to upgrade my set up for both work and gaming and will need an L shaped desk I think, so the items here for the monitor arm, etc, is super helpful! thank you!
Great to hear! Interested to know which brand you go with for the L-shaped desk
Very useful and inspiring video. Was also really well put together. Love that small office space. Keep up the amazing work bro.
Love this, excellent video man
Thanks man 🤝
Thank you, Chris! My girlfriend and I both work from home and I love the focus on WFH upgrades. I know we both would love the dock for both our computers.
Good choice!
Nice video! Thanks for giving that many useful information and also some options :)
Thanks Kristof!
Awesome video! That chair is fantastic! Exceptionally better than my $20 yard sale find...
😀
What a great video, so helpful. Thanks man!
Great video and recommendations Chris, my favorite item is the OrbitKey Desk Mat
Thanks, and good choice!
Great tips! Your additional desktop is amazing! I need to check it out :)
Glad it was helpful!
Really like the clean look. Allows you to focus.
Some items caught my attention: OrbitKey Nest allows for an aesthetic layer of organization and Kuxiu 3-In-1 Wireless Charger is a great compact charger.
Both are grab and go wich to me is a must in a setup
Great video with good tips.
Both great items! Thanks for watching and commenting
Absolutely valuable information very well organized!!
Really enjoy your content. Have purchased quite a few of the upgrades just deciding on which keyboard to go with.
Great to hear! Interested to find out which keyboard you go with
@@Christomshack went with the Mx keys mini as I like the small form factor. I would love the desk on your video but that will have to come later.
forgot to ask are you still using Alfred or have you made the switch to Raycast?
Still chugging along with Alfred for now, although always open to the idea of better options. I tried Raycast in the past, but didn't see a big enough benefit to switch over. Which features stand out to you over Alfred?@@wireshark101
@@Christomshack TBH I still use Alfred. I'm used to the format and have a power pack license so like you not seeing a massive benefit over switching. I've only being using Mac OS for about a year and enjoy finding new was to increase productivity. This is how I came about finding your channel which has been really helpful. So keep up the good work.
Great Video, I love the Desk Mat, but also the Monitor Arm. I have a ultra wide I could use to move around.
Investing in a monitor arm is one of the best upgrades you can make. Love having one!
Thanks for watching and commenting
dude gotta say, such a good video and the products are amazing
Thanks dude 🙌🏼
Great video I really like the Cal digital hub. It looks like it covers all the basics I need
Cheers Scott
Thanks Chris, great overview and for me just in time as am looking to setup a new home office - so will be looking at the links as well
That chair looks amazing! I like how it can tuck under your desk when you stand.
Great recommendations. I have the dock, desk mat, and the nest. In the market for a good office chair, perfect timing. You have me as new subscriber.
Sounds like you have a great setup! Thanks for watching and subscribing 🤝
Love your videos. Where are "linked in the descriptions below". I can never find them. Not only on your site but others too. Thanks. You have helped me a lot getting my new setup smart and efficient.
Scroll slightly below the video until you see my profile picture and the Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down, Share, etc. options. The description box is directly below that and you may need to click "...more" to expand the description box and be able to see the full description 👍🏼
Hope that helps! Otherwise, let me know and I'll try to help.
Hello, just stumbled onto your channel for the first time. Great video and information about each choices. One question I have about your Kuxiu as I just got one as well is does your phone get really hot when charging?
My favorite item that I would love is the Orbit Nest as I am trying to find my next wireless charge option.
Welcome! Yes, energy transfer during wireless charging (electromagnetic induction) is less efficient than wired charging. Some of the transferred energy converts into heat, causing the phone to temporarily warm up.
I loved that I stumbled onto your channel. I’ve been working from home more and realized that my current set up is in need of an upgrade 😅. My favorite item on your recommendations is the insta cam. I’m mind blown with the use of AI. It’s so interesting.
It’s honestly incredible. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤝🏼
That slipdrive pouch is genius! I use velcro to secure my drives to my laptop when commuting and while it works great, the drive is always getting attached to other stuff!
Right! I used velcro for years and ran into the same issue. The slip drive eliminated those issues immediately
Great video! Thanks for the information. I am looking for a better monitor to add to my desk setup. The one listed might be the one!
Great video and recommendations Chris, my favorite item is the insta cam
Mine too!
We have these desks at work and i gotta say, they are def amazing
You're back!! Yay!!!! Love your vids!
Love the chair and the monitor arm. Didn't realize there were chairs that customizable
@theworkingwanderlust
Happy to be back! Thanks for your support 🙌🏼
Awesome video! Helped a lot, and saved me a ton of research. Thanks a lot.
Great video man 🍃
Cheers man 🤝
Nifty products, clean environment, and high-quality video. Kudos 👏🏻
Great video. My favorite that I’d like to try is that ergonomic chair. That thing looks awesome.
Thanks Brian!
It’s honestly an unbeatable chair. If you’re interested, I included a link for it in the video description. The Supreme v3 is $100 off right now and you should be able to use my discount code for an additional $30 off 👍🏼
All those things seems nice, but wallpapers at desktop screen are just incredible! I definitely need the same!
I'm very interested in the chair you showed me. I've been sitting on a cheap Amazon chair for around 5 years and I can feel the impact on my back. A new ergonomic chair would be fantastic, but as a student, it's not really an affordable option for me.
Thank you for the fantastic video!!
I used an Amazon chair for several years before testing out more premium, ergonomic models. This is definitely the best I’ve owned and can’t recommend it enough.
If interested, I linked it in the description. It’s $100 off right now and I believe you can use my discount code for an additional $30 off 👍🏼
Great video and good tips!
This was great. Thanks!
Super nice video, definitely getting some of the stuff you showed. What macbook stand are you using though?
Great to hear, thanks 🙌🏼
It's a stand from "Mount-it!" if interested, here's a link: geni.us/Q9vQ
4:22 very cool video. The chair is definitely very cool and my son (who needs one very much due to his being on it’s last leg) would
Love it for his work at home days. Thanks for the great info.
Thanks David!
Nice list, I also want to add an over-monitor lightbar! it helped me a lot.
Thanks for the recc! I haven't tried one yet
I've seen a lot of hype for those and I stil don't see a use for it. Do you do a lot of hand writing in an otherwise dark room?
@@soundboy89 I always thought they were more of a nicety than necessity. But mine came yesterday and is surprisingly nice.
From what I've read, the asymmetric light projection can reduce eye strain and some of the higher-end models help filter out harmful wavelengths of light from some monitors.
I can't confirm or deny. All I can say is that it's been nice so far and will give some thoughts on it in a future video after more time using it 🤝
I'm glad you gave it a try, yes the reason I got that was because of eyestrain. as long as the lightbar doesn't cause the screen glare, it will help reduce the strain. Also the ambiance..if you get a temp color changing one. @@Christomshack
Great stuff!!!
ayyyy
Such a good Video! Love the caldigit 😮
Wow, this is really useful. Thanks
Thanks for the video!
Thank you for your love to our 3 in 1 wireless charger! Great video!
🙌🏼
I have an exam tomorrow yet I'm here learning how to make my desk more comfortable from Ryan Reynolds
Thank you!
I liked the point of adding greenery to the workspace. I am thinking of adding like a bonsai to my desk.
Can't go wrong with a bonsai. I have one in my office too 🤝
Do you recommend a monitor with integrated USB-C hub or stick with a separate standalone hub?
I prefer usb-c monitors, mainly because there's only a single cable visible and it can charge the computer at the same time
the table is my favorite 😂❤
thank you for the chance sir idol. more good advice and reviews to come!
These were some great ideas! Love the webcam, didn’t realise you could get them like this
Good to know the posture check. I personalty will benefit from the monitor arm or the dock because I often switch between my work laptop and personal one. The Instagram is the same except the last underline
Awesome vid. What laptop stand are you using?
It's from a company called Mount-It. I've had it for more than a handful of years and it still looks/works like new!
If interested, here's a link: geni.us/Q9vQ
Thanks!
Great video, but I'm also interested in the blue tee you were wearing when you were demonstrating the use of your setup, do you have a link to it?
Thanks, it's the License To Train shirt from lululemon. I tried getting a link for you, but it doesn't look they make that color any more
Thanks for a very informative and visually appealing video. Ive been looking for the dock but the chair....
Chris - would you be able to connect a laptop PC to this set up for a hybrid system? This would allow me to separate my personal (Mac) from my work (Laptop PC) 'managed device'. It's not perfect because I will not be able to move seamlessly between the two. Would I be able to use one single keyboard and mouse with this set-up?
Hi Chris, nice setup! I had a similar set up before, but thd problem is the table will tilted backwards and wobble because of the weight of the display and the stand, may I ask how do you fix it? Thanks!
Thanks! My only guess is that the desk you were using at the time wasn't able to withstand the uneven weight distribution. This desk handles it well 🙌🏼
I have had my eye on a few of these. The chair and the desk mat are on my list. I’ve never had a office job but I am studying and will be transitioning into a desk job so have to set up a good office space.
Great video - very helpful!
Definitely gonna get that keyboard and mouse.
I’m really looking for a an upgrade for my monitor. Do you have any recommendations that are good for multi picture. I was thinking about getting a curved monitor like you have, but wasn’t sure that would do well with multi screen I thought they’re more for gaming. If you get a few, would you kindly let me know what you think are great recommendations. I am thinking 32”.
@Beansrdone very good video. The lighting on your video is very well done. I’ve got the keyboard and mouse combo you talked about and love it. Thanks for the info.
Nice! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
that chair is really nice, thanks for all of the ideas!
Amazing list! Your monitor is a game changer (I use 2 plus my laptop) and that webcam is a game changer!!
just based on randomly landing on this video (or it was in the algorithm) , I have subscribed because you're about the most organized person I've ever seen.
Bro these transitions are CRAZY
Cheers bro 🙌🏼
Great video! My favorite item is the Samsung portable SSD.
Great choice! Do you use an external drive now?
@@Christomshack Not yet, but I should.
chair and desk like this are good for comfort and health
totally agree 🙌🏼
@imatruedrew - My can’t live without is a palm glider! Sits under mouse palm and slides over the desk so there no pressure on your wrist and makes working much easier.
This is a great list, couldn’t work or play in my office without my books and plants too.
Can i know sir why havent upgrade to mac os sonoma as i am seeing you have a powerful macbook air m2 series and i have macbook air m1 base 8 gb still updated to latest version of sonoma is it that i am wrong here or any performance side related ?
🤔🤔
I'm running Sonoma on this. It's an M1 MBP with 16/512 config
Aside from the desk, grovemade desk mat. Desk Mat or even your mx keys can change the entire feel vibe aesthetics of your setup since it sits underneath everything. Once you remove it, your entire desk looks different
Totally agree!
What is desk depth required for ergonomic sitting if my monitor size is 32 inches?
Hi my friend! Thank you for this video. I had chronical pain since 8 years and I never feel comfortable in my workstation..can you suggest your height desk and the distance that you have to chair and top desk?
It can be important to setup better my workstation! Thank you in advice
Putting that chair on my wish list. I've been looking for a chair with arms I can squeeze in.
It's $100 off right now and I believe you can use my code for an additional $30 off 👌🏼
when it comes to ergonomics, I'd also heavily recommend a vertical mouse or - even better - a vertical trackball. Logitech makes both, I got the latter and my wrist has never been happier.
Appreciate the reccs!
Unfortunately, Ergotron does not seem to sell in Europe.
But the drawers are very handy.
Dream desk setup
🙌🏼
Hi Chris. I was wondering what your laptop is resting on and would you say it’s any good?
Hey! it's honestly phenomenal, especially for the low price point. I've had it for many years and it still looks brand new.
Here's a link, if you're interested: geni.us/Q9vQ
Great list ❤
does the mx keys use batteries i keep looking for keyboard i keep returning them back because they use batteries is is it rechargeable for that keybaord you have
The battery is charged via USB-C and lasts several weeks
Have to say that chair, and I've gone through my fair share of them, that ergotune customization is great .
As a college student I can confirm that the SSD is truly worth investing in, because not only we gets extra space but also its super portable to cary then a laptop and to plug it in to someone's laptop to present it's content 😉 instead of hovering in your pc
Totally agree!
Love this set up
As someone who is broad, I appreciate your characterization of "thinner" vs. "broader." Thank you.
This something i can dream of..beautiful desk..
🙌🏼 🤝
Nice overview, thanks!
Great video, what watch is that you have on?
Garmin epix pro 2 🤝🏼
love the dock and the web cam. Web cam seems perfect for headshot videos.
Both great choices! The web cam is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the market with its AI features 👍🏼
Hi!! Whats the name of the stand for the laptop? Thx
It’s from “Mount-It!”. If interested, it’s linked in the description under favorite tech & gear 🤝🏼
