Thanks to all of you for all nice comments! This is my very first time to write a comment on UA-cam. To those who said something about the plants I said I throw away; the plants were in such bad condition so not even a small cuttings could be saved. Our hope is to someday be able to make an English version of our bulletin.

I am constantly impressed at how much time and effort is put into this series, people are fking sleeping on this channel, big time. The production value, flying all over to meet the people who actually know what they're talking about, it's the cure for the confusing, sometimes contradicting short soundbites from amateurs all over the internet. Keep finding and interviewing these people, they are fascinating.
Hi Alex, I am SO appreciative of your comment. I do think people watch all sorts of content for all sorts of reasons (i.e., to be entertained, to feel like they have a buddy on the other side of the video, etc.), so I'm sure there is a place for the more 'amateur' videos as you call it, but I really do value the educational component-to cut through the noise. I know that is not for everyone, but I enjoy striving for a nice balance of solid educational information as well as entertainment and personal story that hits an emotive chord, because it's what I value. I am so thrilled that you recognize / notice the quality, time, effort, and resources that go into this series. Because for me (at least at this point), it's a big labor of love, but I get enjoyment sharing it with people like you who appreciate it! Thanks again for tuning in and sharing the love.

It saddens me to hear that she’s down sizing her collections because she’s getting old. I can feel her love for her hoyas and I think that decision saddens her most. I was hoping these will end up being taken care in a botanical center specially the one named after her. Such a precious lady. 🥰

Newbie here - what is the reasoning behind only collecting species? :) I also love the "spartan nature of her set-up" too! She's wonderful :) Thanks, Peter!
@@user-ow7bi3se2b my philosophy behind collecting species is that I strive to replicate nature's sublime "imperfect perfection" within my space. I’m learning about Hoya and have watched this twice now. I never used to like them until I saw this and tried to understand why people like them so much. I recently picked up 10+ Hoya from a clearance which had roots in coco husk and am rehabbing them in my indoor mini greenhouse and I’m now a student of Hoya! Torill’s interest and dedication is inspiring :)
That is my grandma and she passed away in October 2022 so this video is one of the memories I have of her. ❤😢

What a treat seeing a passionate gardener's collection. I wish I had the knowledge she has acquired over the years. Wonderful video.
Wow your truly blessed to have met her Summer in the plant world she is a hero the knowledge she has you can't find on the internet or a book and to have a Hiya named after her I only have 6 different hoyas I could not imagine having 400 thanks so much for sharing❤
Such a wonderful way to start my day, coffee and this video
After watching this video, I feel like my collection of 100+ hoya is nothing! Thanks for the wonderful video, I’ve watched it several times over the past year.
This video is amazing! I have just started to expand on hoya collection and I learned so much. Her ingenuity was fabulous and gave me many great ideas for lighting and displaying my plants. Keep finding more people like this dear woman!!! Thank you for such a terrific video.
Such a wonderful show! Such a sweet lady and I was so impressed with her Hoya collection. I would love to see more shows like this!
It's truly incredible to see such a rich collection of hoyas. I didn't even know that such a large variety of it exists. The kind of love and passion that she has for the hoyas is unfathomable. I'm so glad to this episode. It's purely inspirational.
LOVE the simplicity of her setup!!!!! Anyone else would have a fancy setup for these...esp with her being the President of Hoya collector club!!! Hats off to her humility - no wonder her hoyas are thriving. Thanks for introducing us to such hidden, regular people!!!!
Wow I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Her Hoya collection is amazing with so many different varieties and the leaf shapes were absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for sharing this 💚
Oh goodness. I am just enjoying this video having started my collection last month. What a wonderful lady. I am so very sorry to hear she has passed. What a precious testament to her passion. 💚🌱💞
Hi Summer! What a wonderful video for you to share with us. Torill is such an amazing lady, so sweet and kind. It was amazing that she knew all of the names of the Hoyas and where they were from without looking at anything. She reminds me of you and your knowledge of plants and the names, etc. Your videos are always top notch, informative, easily understood and a joy to watch. You are amazing, too! Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into all of your videos! Much appreciated!

This is the 2nd time I'm watching this video... I got hooked to your channel during the lock down... I used to sit all night & watch your videos...
That is the most amazing hoya collection. I want to meet her and discuss Hoyas and absorb as much Hoya knowledge as possible.
Loved this particular video. Seeing other plant enthusiasts feature on this channel is a real treat. Especially women like this, we would never hear about her in Australia and America! This was a delightful watch and would love to see more of our planets older generational plant stories. ❤
I watched this countless times already and still here I am... keep coming back.. 😊
