What an awesome rendition. Violin and mridangam support provided by the great legends LGJ and PMI made this a scintillating performance👌👌👌👋👋👋👋👋🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. This would perhaps lighten the invidious opinion amongst the music fraternity about the ability of the legendary MDR Sir in performing at fast tempos at ease, maintaining perfection, individuality, and integrity🙏.
From 10:40 it's real magic. Unbelievable how the violinist is catching up with this maverick niraval. Hats off to Mani Iyer who managed during that niraval.
The concert and the contributors the three legends are at sync and doing the perfect magic. All are equally great in their own fields that make the concert standing out from many others. It is an absolute bliss to hear this🙏🙏🙏🙏👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Sajith, you got it: Vatapi in MDR's hands -- every time[I have 20 versions with me including one in which he sings in both low and high pitches so as to give you[the listener of a taped version] the illusion that he had a vocal support! -- is unique in its presentation. This ability of his alone makes him the greatest singer of our music. I tell you Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman's exquisite support makes this recital all the more special. Needless to say the great Mani Iyer master who could mimic every Vatapi word on his mridangam adds the icing on the cake[All the above mentioned artistes never once tasted cakes; I must rewrite: 'icing on badusha' -- I guess; then again I must device a new 'icing' without egg white or make it a badusha without the 'icing'] "Karambujapasha beejapurvam" : PMI reproduces these niraval sounds to mind-blowing perfection. All the three and the ghatam vidwan practiced 'surrender to perfection' demeanour. Pranams to all. TKGovindarao sir's Vatapi is in the highest order too. His Hamsadwani "Atmaavaaya Ganapatiye"(Subrahmanya Bharatheeyar) is also one of the best -- ever! Narayanakurup Kanthikumar/Post Falls/Idaho 2/5/2017 11:15 am
Wow... He is singing it very fast... usually he sings very slow... expanding the raga beautifully... this is a very fast version... but he is the master... Lalgudi, PMI, and Ghatam are amazing too....Thanks for uploading....GOD Bless
