Also mrithangam by Vellore Ramabhadran is superb. I cherish the memory of living near to his house and listen to the sound of his practice.

"geeta arthamu, sangeeta arthamu ." so much bhavam , in "surutti" .what a fine rendering ! one and only M.D.R . sang for himself , and knew the ins and outs of what is "geeta and sangeeta" deepest knowledge in music . he was no doubt known as musician of musicians . impeccable shruthi shuddham , and laya . vellore ramabhadran on mridangam another great stalwart ,superb accompaniment .absorbing !
