      I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. It's crazy to think people will deem someone who was fit, healthy and active before, would just make up this type of illness and enjoy doing nothing all day. I know there's people who don't understand my condition at all, which is a really awful part of this illness. It adds insult to the injury. I'm diving into an online recovery program at the moment, and feel it's my only hope. Listening to Crista helped confirm that these Programs are a good approach, as conventional doctors don't seem to know how to help us. I hope you find the best approach for your recovery. Raelan has so much good information here. All the best.

I also initially felt the mind body stuff was woo woo and wanted to keep testing to see what was physically wrong with me, like chemical toxicity, heavy metal toxicity etc. Now I can relate to the brain-body issues, and nervous system dysregulation which is also very physical, but not in the way I was originally thinking. I've only recently started a Brain Re-training program so haven't been doing it long enough to see any results yet. Fingers crossed I can do as well as you have. Keep up the good work!

    I think about it a lot lately. I behaved like an over achiever, but I don't feel like one and also don't have the results. I was so focused and disciplined, but only to get along. My motivation wasn't to be the best, I had to be like that to survive and to keep up. Type A personality sounds almost positive, for me it was coping mechanism and my way to hold it all together.

    Thank you for this beautiful interview!! ♥However, I do have an important question to ask. Can we please stop overglorifying Western medicine and science? And calling other practices and ancient wisdom woo-woo? It's incredibly disrespectful and frankly uneducated. We've all experienced a lot of the flaws in Western systems. And ancient wisdom and practices have literally brought humanity to where we are today.

    IS HAIRLOSS SHEDDING A SYMPTOM? IR HORMONES

  • @B3l0v3d05

    So how do we respond differently to symptoms? Like a concrete example...i feel a symptom, like the POTS... what do i do? Is that the visualization and gratitude?

    • @BertitoCreativeWorld
      @BertitoCreativeWorld 7 місяців тому +10

      Is not about what you should do is more about staying calm and no react to the symptom. For example, if you have pots by not responding well means (freaking out and thinking you are having a heart attack or you might think what if is something else) Responding well means "ok Ik what this is, Is a symptom of my Hyper active Nervouse System" You stay calm and don't react to it. When you stay calm and know what is going on this is responding well because your nervouse system knows nothing is wrong. This is the brain retraining. The other part is negative thoughts that come with that symptom. Don't engage with the negative thoughts as they are wrong signals. This is the other part of brain retraining. I hope this help

      @@BertitoCreativeWorldthank you for explaining. Nervous is spelled without an e.
      Its hard to tell the difference between having the symptom and ignoring it. Sorry, not explaining well. Shall give an example.
      One of my symptoms is collapsing. I land on the floor. No panic involved. Its just been part of my life since i 1980. Got sick in 1979.. no panic. But the symptoms have persisted.
      If calm responses fixed it, i would have no problem by now.

      @kristinae.7084 7 місяців тому +2

      It can be... shame is that inner voice that says, "I'm not enough, I'm not good enough..." and that can lead to all kinds of anxiety feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, like perfectionism, workaholism, people pleasing, social anxiety, etc. Anxiety can also be caused by other things, like trauma/PTSD, or physiological conditions.

      Hey I was there! Went a week without sleep at a time, I know how hard it gets. Check sleep coach school on youtube! The only thing that helped me was treating it as another symptom and literally bot caring if I sleep or not. And then slowly over time my brain stopped obsessing about whether i will or wont sleep, and I started sleeping first 4 hours, then 5 or 6, or one day yes one day no.. It will get better!

      It takes a lot of courage to hop on UA-cam and speak about your personal story. People who've recovered and turned to coaching to help others are just more likely to talk about it publicly.
