    “One person who’s not gonna let me die”. That is so important. When you’ve been to so many doctors and tests and protocols you feel like you are all alone and left to your own research and ideas. Not exaggerating at least two hundred bottles of supplements that mostly made me worse. I lost 60 pounds from catastrophic digestive issues. I felt like my family just wanted me to do anything but bother them. My crying was a problem for them. But I believe it was healing for me. The fear and trauma dramatically affect your body and I was holding in a lifetime (6 decades) of stuff.
    I’m still a work in progress.
    I do think your belief in the treatment is the key to it working. Also compassion and love from your care partner. Love is medicine.

    I spent thousands on supplements and boutique doctors who prescribed various elimination and detox protocols that required more effort than I could even manage. She met a healer she trusted, and helped her to move from parasympathetic to sympathetic nervous system, and then she did more emotional work. Having been through the endless naturopathic treatments and been burned by nonsense, that machine was definitely not doing what he said it was. Such a thing simply doesn't exist (yet?). But placebo and healer relationship is incredibly powerful, and I'm happy that she found a winning combination. Sometimes if you can believe in a thing, that's the most important thing about the treatment, especially if it's not a treatment with a ton of side-effects.

    • @amarilovecoaching
      @amarilovecoaching Рік тому +2

    Hi. Raelan. You are doing important work. Keep it up. This interview, like the vast majority of the people you speak with, anecdotally supports the notion that these chronic illnesses are often a mind-body problem (I.e. limbic system impairment or dysregulated autonomic nervous system). It also demonstrates the power of the mind to heal through regulation of the NS via feelings of safety. Your guest mentioned a couple of modalities that are likely not to be scientifically validated, but nonetheless, because she believed in them they had a positive impact on her. After many years of research into my own health journey, I’ve come to the inevitable conclusion that the first order of business is to establish a feeling of safety in the NS. Then the body can begin to heal once it is consistently in parasympathetic activation.

      Thank you so much for your kind words, and for your feedback. I am sure Raelan will respond too. I believe that insomnia plays a big part in most of our lives when we have CFS. it’s because we are so wired and tired; our nervous system has slipped into an erroneous state of fight or flight the whole time. Learning how to get out of fight or flight is key. It’s completely ok to meditate with a foggy brain (in my opinion). Happy to talk with you more if you want to connect. Sending hugs ❤

    I used a PEMF mat once - an alternative/holistic practitioner used this in his office. I used it a few weeks after I had Covid (and had been in the hospital). It reduced chest pain, fatigue, brain fog and helped me breathe better (had severe chest pain and had to take the highest dose of heart medication) in 10 minutes. I would buy it if it were cheaper! I agree with so much of what you say Becky. Whilst healing, it shouldn't make you feel worse. I too feel better, not worse when a treatment is helping me.
    Food fear - that's another one. I think these very restrictive diets cause more stress on the body from the mental strain of adhering to them and the physical impact of the reduction of the varieties of nutritious foods.
    The Asyra machine is a helpful tool on my healing journey too. I'd say it's been 90% accurate for me so far in what it finds. I send a hair sample to the practitioner to test with, as I can't travel to see her. She has said though it may not pick up as much as if I was being tested in person. So maybe this is the 10% discrepancy I've found.

    Hi Raelen I would love to see you do a video(s) on people who have healed in a stressful environment. For example, raising kids and working, business owners in high stress environments that can’t just walk away from their careers, etc. Or is it impractical to think that people can heal in stressful everyday environments?

      Such a valid question, Karen! It's something so many people grapple with. We'll be having an interview in a few weeks that focuses on that aspect. Wishing you all the best 🧡💛💜

      Unfortunately, I have not reached the stage where I am really getting better. It seems that as I get better in one area, another symptom will pop up. For example, my current maladies started about three months ago with severe eye pain - which I discovered, after extensive testing and confusion, was apparently caused by Epstein Barr virus reactivation. Since then, I have had typical symptoms which all went away, then pain in different parts of my body, lymph node pain, headaches, spine pain, conjunctivitis, and a few other issues. Currently my face is burning like I have a fever but I don' t - my neck and back hurt - I am tired part of every day - I have mild headaches and eye pain... it's not fun. However, I thank God that I am still functional and able to work which I really enjoy. Your post and others about chronic illness associated with post-viral issues and other chronic conditions, give me some hope. Thanks.

    It's fantastic that she recovered, but the Asyra machine seems to be total psuedoscience. The mind is very powerful (placebos are real) and the guy made her believe she was finally getting help, so it helped her heal. I def wouldn't recommend anyone pay for someone to use that machine on them.

    • @amarilovecoaching

      hiya, thanks for your feedback. The Asyra machine (and other brands of this type of machine) which offer bio-energetic screening is based on kinesiology, meridian point testing. It's pretty amazing stuff. A lot of great research shows how these things work (a book called "Power versus Force" is an interesting starting point).

      I know how you feel. I have been struggling with long COVID for 15 months now. I’m starting to feel better. Don’t give up. There IS hope. I felt like you many times but try to keep searching for answers. I know there is one out there for you. I’m not a doctor but my own personal help has been through meditation/prayer. I never thought it would help before I had this, but it really does. There’s lots on UA-cam. Find one that you like. Just try. It’s kind of baby steps. I hope you feel better soon.

      @amarilovecoaching Рік тому

      Hey thanks for sharing this. I believe most of us do that within a few weeks or months, as the doctors and holistic practitioners do all the physical stuff first. I guess the issue is for those of us who do all the physical protocols and then still don't recover... I personally was looking after my thyroid and injecting B12 every day, but this didn't lead to recovery - nor did other physical protocols. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sending hugs 💗

      I disagree I think it can exist . But it's definitely dangerous to attribute someone's symptoms to it when you're not qualified to do so. Telling people to push through can be dangerous and borderline abusive even if it is the cause of their symptoms.

    • @erics4127
      @erics4127 Рік тому +1

      you have to push through gently. Reduce activity and then build back up. You have to re-train the autonomic nervous system that these activities are safe. The autonomic creates the symptons. I'm 3 years in, about 95% recovered. TMS @@sla1xyz
