Todd Toven,, I first want to congratulate you on your most impressive Dolphin Fish catch. Wow! Such beautiful coloring! Second, I want to thank you for donating a portion of it to use in this video. Wow! Such beautiful coloring! Loved your guest appearance, especially being that you're the one who brought the fish. Great looking recipe and I am chomping at the bit to get it started on my Blackstone ® griddle. Nate does a very good job of describing each step of his preparation and cooking process. Cook. Eat. Repeat! 🐟🍍🌶️ #cookeatrepeat
This looks incredible! I’m a complete novice, just came across your channel. I wish I had a beautiful backyard grill but I’m going to give this a go in a skillet.
Excellent looking dish & wonderful team up with you Nate & Todd. Because I do love to learn about cooking, which is why I love your show, why do you not wash off the fish with fresh water?
What a dish! Cooking rice on the griddle? What the..? Awesome! That sizzle tho...slapping down them filets! My mouth will be watering the entire rest of the evening! All that lime, pineapple, jalapeño and cilantro! How can you NOT have all this goodness on some fresh saltwater fish! Great job Nate and Todd!
You guys are awesome together!!! Loved seeing you being a little more serious, don’t lose your wild side!! Love the rice trick Nate showed. Now I gotta find a place to get mahi-mahi to try this!!!
Hi, Kevin. Every situation is different. CJ is a goofball so I''m a goofball when I'm with him. Nate's a little more reserved on his show, so I'm reserved on his. LOL. Thanks for noticing. We both appreciate you watching!
@@praisehisawesomename love watching you guys, I have learned a lot from all your videos. Happy Mother’s Day to your significant others. Keep the videos rolling!!!
Nate: Looks good, I really hope Todd likes it!! Todd: Looks good, Let's give it a try!! Ethan: Looks good, I really wanna try this!! CJ: Yo quiero Taco Bell
Okay, I've watched this video before and liked it. I have returned to ask if you have ever cooked Barramundi on the Blackstone? This is an amazing fish. My first experience was at an absolutely excellent restaurant in, believe it or not, Chino Valley, AZ, named Essence Kitchen and Bar. I discovered Barramundi in the frozen section of Costco and grabbed it. I need your expertise.
Yum!!❤ Looks great, that fish has to be so so good! Not a huge fan of pineapple picos but it actually sounds delicious this time. Praise the Lord and pass some Mahi Mahi🐠🌺💛💙🤤 I'll have to try cooking rice on the BS too 🍚🔪
Shamefully I thought Mahi Mahi was dolphin which is why I never tried it. Now that I know I won’t be eating flipper I’ll be sure to……………give it to try! (Nod to Todd)
I love ❤️ the dish but please wash cilantro because when you let its sit in the water, you'll see a lot of dirt come out. I would say rinse it in the water at least 3 times
Absolutely you can. Avocado oil will actually stand up to the heat of the flat top as well (since they had it on high). Neither are a good or bad choice generally - what's more important is whether or not they are neutral oils and the production process used in each. Both olive oil and avocado oil can come anywhere between unrefined (non-neutral in flavor) types to more highly refined types which will generally be neutral oils intended for cooking. Still, avocado oil has a MUCH higher smoking point than ANY type of olive oil regardless of how highly refined it is. It's better to use a high smoke point oil if you plan to really crank the heat (like searing a steak), but you really shouldn't be cooking any fish at that high of a temp, so as long as you watch your heat and don't let it get too much higher than 350°F then a neutral refined cooking olive oil will work just fine. Personally, I have recently transitioned my cooking to now being done with a neutral avocado oil (Chosen Foods) as my general purpose cooking oil. However, I do still use both unrefined and refined olive oils, as well as refined peanut oil, beef tallow, clarified butter, and sometimes vegetable oil in my cooking. It just depends on what purpose I'm using it for. I use vegetable oil exclusively for baking (such as in cakes). I have avocado oil for searing and sautéing, especially when I need high temps. I use EVOO (and unrefined olive oil) ONLY in dressings, sauces, etc. I'll use refined olive oil (like what they're using in the video) for things like roasting veggies, so the oil is only getting indirect heat, for short amounts of time, and at typical baking temps which are typically fine. And I still prefer to use peanut oil for shallow OR deep frying foods - peanut oil is just hard to beat when it comes to fried foods, and counter to what a lot of people think, most NEUTRAL peanut oils are refined to where they do not contain the chemical(s) which triggers reactions in people with peanut allergies (this same thing is true about lost neutral soybean oils as well).
The “Fresh” vs “Salt” rinse is mostly based on storage. If you’re gonna freeze or store the fish for future use, use saltwater. Fresh water is fine just before cooking. The main thing to remember is to have a dry fillet and a hot griddle
so i see a new Nate video has dropped so i grab my smoking jacket, top hat and monocle and get ready for some classy cooking and what do i see? Nate in a Tshirt and no wine anywhere to be seen!! what is this tom foolery ?!?
A wonderful evening around the griddle with Nate. Great memories of a dream fishing trip for me AND incredible food. Cook, Eat, Repeat!

See, this was a great clip. Just leaving out comments from the camera guys, and not acting stupid. Todd made a huge improvement to your show.
Oh Boy.....looks great!
Awesome video
When will the pineapple Sriracha season/spice be available? I can't find it online or in retail.
🔪MAHI MAHI TACOS - 2 flour tortillas filled with grilled Mahi Mahi seasoned with oil, honey sriracha seasoning. Add diced: red pepper, red onion, pineapple, jalapeño slaw with chipotle aioli.
Interesting. Congrats mate!
How do you find the recipe, quantities eat. Doe not appear below?
Where did you get that model Blackstone???
WOW!
Wow indeed! It was fantastic
If you don't use fresh water, what do do use?
Question does that looking at Limes work with Lemons?
Yes it does! The “feel-test” is always the most reliable but learning to see it is a fun skill
Rice on the grill---I am middle eastern and have never tried that;)

"Palate pleaser"... Never hear that phrase and White Castle in the same sentence.

Because there's lots of conversation as you prepare, it would be way useful if you listed the ingredients before you start cooking.
Didn't say why to not rinse with fresh water.... you know.... for the other guys who may not know . Lol 😆
I was wondering the same thing.
They'll reply. Lol
