Imagine being actually able to do all of that with Kenrith, cause my opponents just seem to always have removal for it. Absolutely frustrating 😂🤷🏻♂️
It was even more true when this card typically saw play with Fires of Invention meaning you could cast spells for free then use all that free mana to use Kenrith's abilities.
I remember that! That deck was so broken because, you always had haste with Kenrith and the cavalier of flame and you could often board wipe or gain life on the same turn. I swear fires of invention like tripled you mana.

@@immortalgamer3960 This time the board state does work without any other cards. Well if we ignore the lands or rather the lack therof. The Mirror Gallery would actually make the boardstate, or atleast the comment of the opponent wrong. While reanimating a Kenrith if you already have on is certainly a bad play, it is completely within the boundaries of the magic rules, so this time it wouldn't really make sense for there to be another card.
Remy is physically incapable of not regularly producing absolutely banger parodies.

The rules committee has determined that Golos, The Tireless Pilgrim is banned. We do not see Kenrith, the Returned King as powerful and in fact it is a step down from Golos, Tireless Pilgrim.
I appreciate the phrase "To my dome you sent that burn" making a callback to a similar phrase in the MTG Rap.
Every time I feel myself slipping away from wanting to play MTG, Remy just puts out a new video, and then I ask my friends who's down for a game lmao.

I love Kenrith in edh, everyone thinks you’re playing group hug until you need like any advantage at all. You can also splash colors, I made a bant kenrith deck and then cast a black spell like 12 turns in just to blind side people. People realize you’re up to shenanigans? Gain 15 life out of nowhere to prevent lethal. Need cards? Kenrith has card draw on a stick. Even if you’re not up to shenanigans you can really mess with people when an azorius deck is constantly giving its whole board trample and haste. Make Naya with counter spells, Kenrith does everything.
my fav is to give player A creatures trample after player B declares blockers.

In the dozen times I've played by Kenrith deck, I don't think I've ever given him a counter. I always use him to help speed the process of forcing all my opponents to draw their entire decks (and I've actually won that way, lol). He certainly has a vast array of powers though!
Back in standard his first ability was probably the most played. Giving haste for R in a Boros aggro deck like Winota is very strong.
His third one is also very solid in control decks: 5 life is a lot, enough to give you the edge against the most agressive decks.
I have never seen any of the 3 other ones, not that they are bad, just that they are not on the same level of "bonkers"
@@anneaunyme I have to disagree. Maybe not in standard, but in commander/brawl, reanimation on a stick is broken as heck. I do think haste/trample the entire board for 1 is the most nuts, but spammable reanimation is absolutely busted in decks that are designed around it.

Ofc spamming reanimation is strong in EDH, I was just saying that in standard this wasn't played. There were things way more busted than that (remember, that's the year when then banned the most cards ever). A reanimation deck at that time could have been relatively powerful if you compare it to the standard of present time (idk, I haven't played standard for a while), but against other decks of Eldraine standard you needed more than "relatively powerful".
"fool I'm gaining 5 a turn" as someone who's played Kenrith in MoM limited, I assure you that you're lucky if they're only gaining 5 life a turn. Curving Kenrith into the realization that, "Oh, I can just gain 10 a turn" was a trip.
Since finding this channel, I also end up finding Magic cards in songs. I can no longer hear "We Are the Champions" without singing "no treasure cruise."

My opponent was playing Pyrohemia with a Veteran Explorer in their graveyard.
My Kenrith w/ training ground throughly enjoyed reanimating in response. I immediatly felt the power as i untapped with every basic in my deck.
