Whenever I cast a creature with ward from now on I will refer to it as a Weenie in a Bottle. It will make no sense and it will make me smile.

Even now it amazes me that it doesn't even seem weird that there is literally one guy playing every character simultaneously in this. So he thought of the idea, wrote the lyrics, made the costumes, acted every part out individually, sung, performed, and edited himself onto card backs, mixed all the parts together in the correct order and timing, and edited it all into a UA-cam video and uploaded it here with a description and a thumbnail and everything.
I mean.. this is one dude. Remy, you have my respect.
imagine if Remy applied all this energy skills and creativity to this worlds problems. Cure for Cancer, Poverty and World Piece all solved with a ctachy tune and clever lyrics to boot!

Ward is such an improvement in terms of gameplay over hexproof, and allows for better design flexibility. I have really come to like it.
I have always been of the opinion that introducing Hexproof was a mistake. At least Shroud had the tradeoff that you couldn't touch it either.
Ward is so much better because it always has (at least) two ways to bypass it built into the mechanic itself, instead of just the usual "overcommitment" that you have to do with Hexproof (e.g. a boardwipe just to get rid of that one card).
If WotC had made Ward back when Hexproof started the power creep for Ward would be even more absurd than Hexproof by now.

@@SymmetricalDocking How would that be worse (as in harder to go around) then Hexproof? You see, for Hexproof there is no escalation, period. It's like giving death sentence to someone that crossed a right traffic light. Where do you want to go from there?
There might even be a situation in which someone would actually pay 5 and mill 20 cards for their effect to go through. Or their spell has the line "This spell can't be countered". Would Split Second work? Didn't look it up, but it actually might. Hexproof would take even these option away from you.

The funniest part of the video is that Rift Bolt is a sorcery so using it end of turn isn't legal in the first place

Great to have new stuff from Remy again. I was thinking of this the other night when "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" came on the radio the other day and I started singing to my wife "Every Friday Night I play some Magic..." Thanks for the laughs!

my expectations were too low, this was amazing.
Now to rip this apart, RIFT BOLT is a sorcery, so it cannot be cast at instant speed. RIFT BOLT costs one red and two generic, which cannot be cast if player has only two mountains. However, can be cast from suspend which costs one red mana and would be getting cast at players upkeep which means player had exactly the two mana to pay the Ward 2. But it's not being cast from suspend. With the number of SHOCK bouncing around the world i'm assuming you chose RIFT BOLT because it "rolled off the tongue" better for the song. Yay! he aims to cast Fatal Push which is an instant spell! But what's this? no black mana to cast it? And it turns into FORKED BOLT for some reason which i'm assuming FORKED BOLT is also aiming to be "cast" at End Step which again, is a Sorcery. Which also means player had THREE mountains not two and an island.
Would had been hilarious if player cast Force of Despair. OOOOooh would had been AMAZING if player evoke casted Fury (sorcery speed) or Solitude (has flash)!!!
