LOG IN ???????
We need more Guy Martins.
Guy should return to Japan and take that one year course, would make a fantastic series. Then go on and make the swords. Up for it Guy?
It wouldn't because basically everything oriental is bollocks. Six years to learn to rake coals. Meanwhile they finally produce their best swords when we were producing our best tanks, aeroplanes, and freakin' machine guns. Yeah, none of that nonsense thanks mate. Only teenage boys and beta males fall for that nonsense. The Japanese don't make things good, they just waste a lot of time ritualistically LARPing and it makes ZERO difference. I've seen apprentices put out better iron than 'master' katana makers in Japan.
Just the smell of an old machine shop gives me chills. I can watch for hours and hours some old guys I'm learning from. They think I'm crazy because I love watching them do all the manual machining instead of NC or CNC
Money cannot buy that.. You're damn right Guy.. Hope to see you one time .. only for a mug of tea don't wanna bother you ... I think that only a man of instinct like you shall master all those skills ... Lads that are used to do calculations cannot achieve those .. respect Sir
The key to Guy's brilliance is his humility. His curiosity. His respect for those willing to share their knowledge. He is already a Master.
These brave kids did what they had to do. We owe them so much respect. To see what they went through is amazing. Thank you, Guy for showing what they went through.
I LOVE HIS JUST GO FOR IT ATTITUDE AND NEVER GIVE UP TILL ITS DONE !! NEVER AFRAID TO TRY ANYTHING
This show really deserves the Attenborough esqe narration it has .. guy is actually like a different species..man is a legend at everything he does.
There's just no ego in guy ,what a top bloke
A lot of these old hands on skills will be lost as people become lazy with technology, thank you for showing and sharing some of your thirst for knowledge, you are a great man among men and women
I wish you all the best guy. You have done things that most of us will never do. Your videos are really remarkable in their own right I enjoy watching them. Continued success guy I can honestly appreciate what you do.
Good job for not panicking and kicking that line twist clear. The decent rate on those rounds is tough. Give me a modern rectangle with the ability to flare any day over those!
Great show he needs to make more shows like that.. Guy is the mad scientist from back to the future.
Well, the bit with the 83 year old master engineer certainly made my hair stand up! Damn..
Id love to see guy go back and revisit/reattempt some of the records he didnt get
Japan was the best thing I have seen on tv in such a long time. In fact, never seen anything like this, but it’s a long time since anything has been this good
Guy is Britain’s answer to Evel Knievel, but with talent. National treasure.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vid, i can honestly say i love Guy M, he is a total and utter fruitcake, infact sometimes i feel he is missing some very important parts in his head, but please dont ever change Guy, as that is you
Did us proud in Japan man awesome love from brummie 🇬🇧
What a gifted man....
Absolute legend this bloke. Love how enthusiastic he is about hold school engineering.
This is good stuff mate
Respect! Always gives 100 n comes out a legend!!
What a legend 👏👏👏
Love how the parachute part was all about boxing and running then guy's in the plane and the instructor is explaining what to do😂
I dont know why but I always loved using an angle grinder to feather the the steel into fitting
With regards to the van drive it the end - it brought back memories of Sabine Schmitz R.I.P. on Old Top Gear. I would love to see what time the Queen or the Ring would of done with that van. To put that into context - think of Sabine driving a van around the Isle of Man TT 🙂 awesome respect for both, role models for anyone who what's to be best at everything they do, what an inspiration Guy is and I hope he would think the same about the Sabine thing 👍
Is Guy also the Stig, if not I'd like to see him do a lap of the old track in the car the F1 drivers use 😂
Great Video 👏👏👌👍
great video we enjoyed it very mucg, very educational
20:20 could you leave the question any later, Jesus 🤣
Looks like Japanese loved Guy 😹💪
"That feel, money can't buy" Everything you need to know about that GUY.
"Give the credit to Alice." Why that GUY amazes me.
I'd have asked Sabine to be my co-driver. She has experience in a van. ua-cam.com/video/5KiC03_wVjc/v-deo.html
2:38- safety glasses? .You can always buy another pair if they shatter...
it is the difference between the avarage and the excellent with this lathe master (knowledge is the key ) I had the good fortune some years ago to cross the path of a seriously skilled and knowladge able industrial refrigeration engineer who taught me , that he had done the job the hard way so I did not have to just listen to what I tell you and it will be done quicker and right
Love Guy Martin videos! But since I'm not as versed in his lingo, can someone quote what he says from 3:18-3:22 and explain what he means?
😂 Certainly,
They "went and had a natter and a f*g" (UA-cam might not like that word)
Meaning that they stopped working and had a cigarette and discussed the part that was being worked on
Natter=chat
F*g=cigarette
Our guy in Latvia. Malacis.
Rest in peace
Yeah paratroopers are tough but our Guy crashed a bike at 140mph between two stone walls, flipped in the air several times (while on fire) and broke his back in several places when he landed. There was nothing left of that bike. And that was just one of his many crashes. He has more titanium screws in his body than a Bugatti Veyron.
So he’s tougher than a lot of those paratroopers, with all due respect.
👍👍
He should be flying ! maybe he could find a shell for his Merlin
Sorry that's not a messerschmitt 109
Its a bushmaster it's got a Rolls Royce engine
And Not the DB 650
Well, Hispano HA1112-M1L.
As you said, it has a Merlin, but otherwise it is a derivative of the Bf 109
👍👍👍😁😁
Stuff all your PHD’s that master beats them all hands down, zero competition.
🤩👊
☕️👈🏻
60k hours is just short of 7 years. i work with men who have been doing 1 job for 30 plus years and still cock it up xD
Not keen on the voice over.

Those trades are dying out.... sad
