the comments. Everyone here loves this show for its great content, for the high level historical information and for the sympathetic and beautifully freakish protagonists.
And already since season 1 your viewers desperately try to get through to you, in order to tell you that your audio editor is either totally deaf, drunk, mad, malevolent or all 4 of them. The music is so loud that you can´t understand a single word. Maybe you don´t notice that but please believe us!
This is such a great show, please stop sabotaging yourself and scuttling it by not responding to this. It is such a pity and would be so easy to fix. I worked many years as a musician and audio engineer: the music´s not only way too loud but also overcompressed. In the studio the meters must have been permanently on top red.
Or simply leave the music out completely - nobody´s here in order to listen to that third-class cliché pseudo - hard rock but for the great content.
Moreover, the music also doesn´t fit the subject in any respect. Most of the objects are WW2. That cliché hard rock fits there like vanilla sauce on a rumpsteak.
Oh lordy, lordy, why didn´t you use the beautiful shellac records as soundtrack which you (so unnecessarily!) destroyed in the finale of season one? Would fit perfectly.
By the way, that was the only single moment when the content of the show made me really angry for a while. I collect both militaria and gramophone records, and that did hurt a lot. The record that ran on the gramophone was so great - I´m not fully sure but I think it was a rather rare Joe Venuti record... When you want to show people how old things are great, interesting and venerable, you shouldn´t do something as barbaric as that.
All this is not for you to feel bad or criticised now, on the contrary: if I wouldn´t love your show so madly I never on earth would spend the time and brain to write this lenghty commentary.
So please, please, pleaaaase believe us, react to us, your fans, and have that thing fixed. I know, it´s quite a bit of work to go back all the way to the multi-track version, decompress that track and turn it down (or simply mute it - no one ever needed it from the beginning), and then render everything again. But it would be so damn worth the fuss, man...

Funnily enough, Matti with his huge hoard of militaria is still around today, selling them online on one of our secondhand store websites.
His prices, still sky high. But the stuff he has is still mind boggling interesting, like those anchors he's selling 1200 euros per each.
Though he doesn't live in buttfuck-nowhere in the forest, rather 1-2 hour drive away from Helsinki.

that bent 75mm gun is more likely to be from a StuG III Ausf. G sold to Finland, while most of them had the boxier welded mantlet, the cast "pig's head" -version seen on the video was also found on the Finnish StuG IIIs.
