They played at our high school graduation party in 1974 - small private school in SF, party in Woodside - about 40 kids. Still reeling from that night!
haha! I just recently started HLN nerding out online and saw from a 1996 set of questions emailed to Sean the following: "Q: Are there any other Clover songs in the archives (for example Clover's version of 'Bad Is Bad') that the world hasn't heard yet? Sean: Clover did Bad is Bad? God, I've been playing it so long I forgot. Just those old demos." type "clover, bad is bad" into youtube and find this. thanks so much for the post!
I AGREE!!! DAMN, I LOVED THIS MAN SINCE CLOVER DAYS....I’M SADDENED I WON’T SEE HIM AGAIN SING/PLAY, PRAYERS FOR YOU HUEY, JUST NEVER KNOW THOUGH. MY NOTE STILL READS ‘I LOVE YOU HUEY’, BUT NO OTHERS SHOES WOULD’VE BEEN UNDER THIS GIRLS BED BUT YOURS. PEACE~LOVE~HAPPINESS~XOXO
I heard Huey talking about this Glasgow show to a Lizzy fan a few years back. He couldn't get over how the upper tier was bouncing during Lizzy. Genuinely worried it would come down. I'd love to hear the rest of the tape....
Hi again, you mention that this is the 2nd of February 1977. This is a mistake as they supported Lynyrd Skynyrd on the 9th and 10th of February. Could you let me know what night this is? Thank you.

The warmth of this music is perfect for a Friday night. It really helps you come down from a hard week.
You can hear that this was the rhythm section that played on elvis Costello's my ain is true LP. Great.
Blame it on Cain
Clover would perform weekends in my hometown, Bolinas, at the Community Center.
This is very interesting to me. I only knew the version from Sports. I like this. Thanks for sharing.
great version of this by Dave Edmunds also. love this early Huey
Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
Awesomeness!
Thanks for posting. It's great to hear some genuine rarities. Please post more!
Would love to come to usa to a concert
They played on the football field at Healdsburg High School must have been 1970 or 1971. They were great!

Looking for Srv!
Thanks for posting! Fantastic. Huge Clover fan here - any chance of hearing the rest of the set? That would be awesome. Thanks!
Me too......dang.....but a small reunion in the works.
Not only was Huey Lewis and future News keyboardist Sean Hopper in the band, so was guitarist John McFee, who went on to join the Doobie Brothers
James Williams your a fucking idiot
not pre Doobie Brothers, but pre Elvis' My Aim is True [barely] and Huey Lewis & the News
Clover toured with Dr Feelgood in 1975 States tour, correct?
What a gem, I like this better than The New's version. I see where Dave Edmunds got his arrangement listening to this version.
Personally I much prefer the slower Huey (News) version, still...this ain't bad.

Elvis should hire these guys again and get rid of his current crappy line-up.
