      I guess I rate! They must have machined at least one batch of left-handed risers.

    Waiting a few years for the triax to come into my price range, but then again they'll probably have 3 more "revolutions in the industry" between then and now.

      @J H Mathews Triax is 28 in axle to axle. The Vertix is 30 in axle to axle. You're welcome.

    Bit of torque on the release looks like.

      Joe P I’m a Hoyt guy but I shot the Vertix, super nice bow. Might be time to buy a Mathew but there was definitely noticeable torque on both of those shots! Possibly the shooter....

      @@crabwalk1891 Its nice to hear from someone that shoots something other than a Mathews be open minded about a different bow other than the one they shoot. Seems as if most "fanboys" ....btw, I DESPISE that tern.... for whichever bow they shoot get soooooo butthurt by other bows and folks' opinions!!!

      @@crabwalk1891 shot the traverse and loved it and buying either that or vertix been shooting Hoyt for a while but this bow blew me away and the grip and how easy it drawed was just the reason alone always said if Mathews had a hoyt grip it would be the perfect bow and they did it

      Hoytshooter 1990 I actually ended up buying the SR6, I was blown away by the improvements Bowtech made to the flip disk technology after shooting it, in the past in the performance mode the draw was really stiff and dumped into a practically non-existent valley, if you let it creep is was gonna rip out of your hands... the SR6 in performance has a smoother draw than the Vertix (I’m my opinion) and now has plenty of valley, very forgiving! And of course it was about 7-8 FPS faster than the Vertix! I was in shock when I shot them side by side because “I thought” I was sold on Mathews this year. It just wasn’t the case, I like the draw cycle, back wall, string angle 32 ata vs 30 ata much better on the SR6, the Mathew is a smidge more quite on the shot but it’s 3/4 lb heavier! I will also add that I tune all my own bows and I’ve tuned several Mathews and it’s a pain pulling out the cams to swap top hats vs yoke tuning on the Bowtech, and when Bowtech brings over the technology from their new bow, the reckoning, to their hunting bows... everyone will be able to self tune really easy, no press needed. So while I’ve recently bashed Bowtech, I’m now eating crow with all my buddies who shoot Bowtechs!

    Compared to the triax which one is quieter and has less vibration?

    • @RoundTwoPR
      @RoundTwoPR 5 років тому

      Hunter Encinias Hunter haven’t shot the Triax, however I can personally say that the Vertix is the quietest bow I’ve ever shot. On the Mathews website they claim that they have reduced vibration by an additional 20% from last years Triax.
      Go down to your local bow shop and shoot them both!

    I would like to know what poundage the limbs come in. I know you adjust the draw weight with the mods but what poundage would those limbs be if they were placed on a standard compound bow. Also what poundage increments do the mods come in? Do you screw out the limb bolts to decrease poundage? Thank you for the first look video.

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  5 років тому

      The limbs are all the same on the Vertix, which basically means every bow is capable of up to 75 pounds of draw weight. The actual draw weight, as well as draw length, is determined by the set of mods on the cams. Mods are available with peak draw weights of 60, 65, 70 and 75 pounds, for draw lengths from 26-30.5 inches. Mods are also available for each draw length and draw weight in your choice of 80 percent or 85 percent letoff. So, for example, I have a 29-inch draw and 65-pound, 80-percent letoff mods on my bow. I can adjust my peak weight from 65 pounds to 60 pounds or 55 pounds just by moving the mods. I could also order a different set of mods and change my bow into a 75-pound peak draw-weight bow if I wanted. SwitchWeight Technology is actually a pretty innovative new feature. I would imagine that if you wanted to, you could still change draw weight by loosing the limb bolts as per usual. However, with SwitchWeight mods, there really is no need for that anymore.

      Petersen's BOWHUNTING I appreciate your reply. Let me clarify. If those limbs were placed on a bow without switchweight technology what would the draw weight of that bow be?

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  5 років тому

      @@TheMarclan 75 pounds

    • @TheMarclan
      @TheMarclan 5 років тому +1

      Petersen's BOWHUNTING understood. so the mods actually decrease the limbs draw weight. Example: a 65lb mod will offset the limbs draw weight by 10lbs.
