We know who the king of the castle is, no mistaking your part of his show 😂, great to see the island in all its glory. I used to live on the island and now live in Spain. I miss the green and the lakes and the amazing beaches so thanks for your videos👏👏👏👏
That shot of Diesel sitting at the picnic table wagging his tail and smiling with the other family was hilarious. So stinkin cute! I'm serioulsy impressed you carried that absolute TANK of a canoe plus a pack over those portages. Kudos 💪🙌 Beautiful video!
Haha he's a character that's for sure! Always seems to surprise us with his antics. It was a character builder.... Thanks for noticing the extra effort 😂. We appreciate you watching and following along. Cheers !
Always enjoy seeing your videos and the way you guys interact. The lakes were beautiful and look so peaceful. You both put some work and walking into this one. Diesel knew he had to do something after the Kitchen trash incident. He is a smart dog and so loveable. Thanks for all the work and time you give into what you do in your travels and experiences. God Bless
What a great adventure! The Sunshine Coast certainly has interesting portages. Take lessons from Diesel “when your a foodie everyone is your buddy” 😊 I know of a place to supply you with some snacks! 🙂
It's always a pleasure to see your video. This was beautiful. I enjoyed every part of it and especially Diesel. He is special! Can't wait to see you guys in the next video.
Your four-day backcountry adventure through Canada's stunning paddling route is truly inspiring! Embrace the thrill of exploration and the beauty of nature as you create unforgettable memories in the great outdoors. And I'm floating village life
We're glad we got the chance to explore the sunshine coast some more ! That burrito was fantastic... But even more amazing after 4 days of dehydrated food 😅... Thank you again for all the good information on the area. All the best !
Awesome work on the portages! I've seen them and they look tough, even if you are in good shape. Clipper makes great canoes in Abbotsford. I have a solo prospector 14 in kevlar dura flex that's about 42 lbs and tested tough against impacts (by clipper and by me). I wouldn't drag it over rocks though. It's an incredibly capable seaworthy canoe.
Thanks! It was a grind lol... i've heard great things about the Clipper canoes! Had my eye on them for a while. The Old Town is a great family canoe for these 'shorter' trips but if we do anything longer I'll definitely consider making the switch in the future. Thanks for the info. Cheers !
Awesome trip guys!! I said to Aunt Chris, "No wonder his back is bugging him", then I realize your lugging your backpack as well 🤯🤯. And another thing, what is the writing on the back of Alannah's lifejacket? Keep the videos coming!!!!
You hit your 30's and all of a sudden your back hurts all the time... What the f?! We "borrowed" them from work so it's the size and initials written on the back 😅. Lots more to come. We leave for Alaska next month ! Cheers
@@wayoftheroads I thought you heard us moaning and groaning about backs and knees and what not all these years,,, and it doesn't get any better😖,lol keep moving man!!!
@@MAGAScott thanks Scott! It's 17', about 90 lbs. Can't say it's very enjoyable to portage haha... But it's very sturdy and durable which is great for having the 3 of us + gear in there.
Wow a 90lb canoe?! You definitely need a lighter canoe. Got to give you credit for portaging that 👍 although those were some very well maintained portage trails.
A lot of the trails were very well taken care of which was nice but there were also a few rough ones too. Love the canoe... but yes I agree it would be nice to have a lighter one. Made the trip more interesting haha

What kind of sleeping pad do you have?
It's a Klymit insulated double wide ! Game changer 😀
