Great video! I'm planning on doing a similar trip in the future, only I'll be driving from Ontario to BC. This is a beautiful country and I'd love to see more of it.
This video is beautiful. Must have taken forever to edit all that B-Roll. See you guys soon hopefully
Loved following your travels through Canada))
So cool! I live here :)
is this the Cabin at Cape Palmerston?
you area risk takers drinking unfiltered water from everywhere . Just like you many people before you, have swam in those water sources they have had dogs in them and probably peed in them and wiped their asses in it. You really should have a water filter system
Saw you in Cape Breton a few weeks ago. So hoping that you did a vlog while you were here, showing everyone our beautiful Island.
Unfortunately that wasn't us ! But we should be there later this year 😊 and of course we'll be documenting the adventure! Looking forward to exploring the east coast ❤️
Another great adventure, your missing the smoke salmon! Maybe the next trip?
@@evyonepike7457 absolutely ❤️
Naka Creek... love that place. Lots of good fishing off there and crabs.
Beautiful videos and nice couple be happy ever
@@user-yt2yl1pt2i thanks Quaiser !
This was and is one of the best videos i have seen. Amazing effort!
@@miyu545 thanks for the very kind words. We're really proud of this one ❤️ all the best
Your content is good and inspiring - we have done the Toronto-Jasper-Toronto route via US and Canada. Would like to go all the way through to Vancouver and the Dempster Highway someday. Cheers and wish you the best for your future travels. Will be following you guys via UA-cam!
Ah that sounds like an incredible trip through the states. The Rockies are something else ❤️. The Dempster is well worth it, we hope you get out there to tackle it one day! Thank you for watching
Loved following your travels through Canada, to places I’ve never been. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Don!
Hi from Vancouver. We have the exact same van and have also had mice (but know they can get into any vehicle). We have traveled for months at a time all over the US, BC and Alberta and never had intruders until we camped at the Squamish Riverside Forestry campground. Other people have had mice in their vehicles there too (according to google reviews). We think the mouse came in somewhere from under the dash because it appeared to leave that way. So many access points form the motor area. We have traps now.
Loved watching every bit of full video. All the best for your next adventure!
Thanks Vijay!
A very beautiful part of Canada! Thanks for taking us with you on your trip.
This old guy wishes he was you! Wonderful video!!!
@@KyleLutes-vn1rt Thanks Kyle! 😁
Sadly, it sounds like part of your packing items should include "mouse traps" HA! Another Chevy van owner here, thanks for sharing!
Haha! Oh, we're locked and loaded now. Haven't had to use any since this incident thankfully 🤞. Thanks for watching. Cheers !
This is an amazing inspiration of how to find happiness. It is not in the materialistic world that we live in. Happiness is a practice not a destination, and you guys proved it. Would you guys be comfortable sharing on how you guys were able to make if possible finances wise? I really want to get to that some day.
Hey Karan! You're absolutely right! We will be sharing all of that info soon as we take the next year to travel north america in the van, we think it's important for everyone to know they can live this lifestyle if they choose to, and not have to have a significant income to make it happen! 🙂 thanks for the kind words! All the best.
Thank you three, two thumbs up !!!
@@gradyputnam2253 thank you William ! 🙂
Awesome work on the portages! I've seen them and they look tough, even if you are in good shape. Clipper makes great canoes in Abbotsford. I have a solo prospector 14 in kevlar dura flex that's about 42 lbs and tested tough against impacts (by clipper and by me). I wouldn't drag it over rocks though. It's an incredibly capable seaworthy canoe.
Thanks! It was a grind lol... i've heard great things about the Clipper canoes! Had my eye on them for a while. The Old Town is a great family canoe for these 'shorter' trips but if we do anything longer I'll definitely consider making the switch in the future. Thanks for the info. Cheers !
There are griz on the Island too
Correct.
Pretty cool you guys are adventuring like this. Stay safe!
Thanks Matt! Appreciate the comment. All the best 🙂
6:16 legends zoom on target 🎯, thank me later 😁❤️🍉🍉
Glad you enjoyed the video.
No dogs are allowed to stay in the huts so you really didn't have a choice but to set up your tent.
Also, I love dogs but please keep them off the picnic tables for others to enjoy!!!
Good thing we had a tent then eh?
@@skibrat great tip. Thanks.
Came across your Channel by chance. What a superb adventure you guys had and what amazing scenery, yes you do look very happy on the road. Very nice photography. Could you also attach maps and routes of your travels please. Subscribed.
Hi there Manmohan thanks for the kind words. Email us and we'd be happy to share our general routes for our trip. Cheers 🍻
Thanks so much for sharing your road trip with us 😊 it's so nice to see how happy you guy's are adventuring. My husband and I always had so much fun road trippin. ❤️
Thank you Julie! It's great to have those memories to look back on ❤️
I could never never drink the sour toe ewwwww but good for you 👍 😄
I was really surprised that there wasn't any snow on the ground or ice on the water in February! Isn't that unusual for Canada? Absolutely beautiful there 😍 so very pretty ❤
The island is a temperate rainforest so very mild winters. Still gets super cold with the extra humidity in the air but at least we have access to the beautiful lakes year round 😁❤️
Awesome trip guys!! I said to Aunt Chris, "No wonder his back is bugging him", then I realize your lugging your backpack as well 🤯🤯. And another thing, what is the writing on the back of Alannah's lifejacket? Keep the videos coming!!!!
You hit your 30's and all of a sudden your back hurts all the time... What the f?! We "borrowed" them from work so it's the size and initials written on the back 😅. Lots more to come. We leave for Alaska next month ! Cheers
@@wayoftheroads I thought you heard us moaning and groaning about backs and knees and what not all these years,,, and it doesn't get any better😖,lol keep moving man!!!
Your four-day backcountry adventure through Canada's stunning paddling route is truly inspiring! Embrace the thrill of exploration and the beauty of nature as you create unforgettable memories in the great outdoors. And I'm floating village life
Hi Floating Village Life (that channel name sounds pretty sweet 😁)! Thanks for watching, it was definitely a great trip !
Thoroughly enjoyed this 👌
We're glad to hear that! Cheers 🙏
What kind of sleeping pad do you have?
It's a Klymit insulated double wide ! Game changer 😀
The food 🥘 is Delicious mmmmm so good 😊
What a Gorgeous Beautiful Awesome Amazing Scenery 😊
Thanks Rene ! It sure was scenic 😀
I was laughing so loud when you were playing catch with Diesel 🤣 more like bouncing the ball off his nose 😂 I just love your dog ❤️
He has his moments for sure! Still trying to get him to catch a frisbee😂
Oh my gosh, I absolutely love the Canadian Rockies ♥️ so incredibly beautiful !! But actually when I think about it there are so so many beautiful places in Canada... you are so lucky to live there.
Canada is such a beautiful country! We’re excited to explore more of it soon! If you ever come here, you’ll have to experience the Rockies for sure!
Just so you know, that old tackle can be not aloud anymore .No 3 prong hook in rivers in bc. I believe that was Snow Creek you were fishing in 🤷♂️ I like your videos. I'm new from Steve as well 😊
Hey Dave, I appreciate the insight! I am aware now as I have been trying to educate myself recently on the proper fishing etiquette/techniques of fishing in the area... if it's any consolation... I still haven't caught a fish lol. Thanks for commenting. Cheers
@wayoftheroads Very welcome. I know that spot well! Just need a single barbless on that spoon! Should work, the trout like fly or wedding band 😉 Glad I found your channel really enjoying it! Loved the trip out from Ontario up to Yukon Arctic and Van Isl.
It's the adversities we face that make it an adventure & look at what a great island paradise you found ❤️ btw... canoe the north is another one of my favorite channels 😉 you should check out lost lakes if you haven't, also another great channel. I love your channel & look forward to more canoe trips to come 👍
Absolutely! Love those channels. They've actually been big inspirations behind our backcountry canoe videos! After watching Jon's videos, we're especially excited to paddle more of the Ontario lakes we hadn't had the chance to do when we lived there :)
@@wayoftheroads that's awesome 👌 so cool to hear that
Another great adventure great job guys
Wow a 90lb canoe?! You definitely need a lighter canoe. Got to give you credit for portaging that 👍 although those were some very well maintained portage trails.
A lot of the trails were very well taken care of which was nice but there were also a few rough ones too. Love the canoe... but yes I agree it would be nice to have a lighter one. Made the trip more interesting haha
it's absolutely beautiful there! ❤️ love those old growth forrests
So cool to see you guy's doing a canoe trip. Those are my favorite trips to watch ❤
That's great to hear! We definitely have more coming up to go along with our travel/road tripping videos ☺️ thanks Julie !
What a great adventure! The Sunshine Coast certainly has interesting portages. Take lessons from Diesel “when your a foodie everyone is your buddy” 😊 I know of a place to supply you with some snacks! 🙂
Haha you'd be his best friend for sure! He certainly knows how to mooch off people. We appreciate the comment, Evyone ❤️ thanks for watching !
Well done.
Thanks Peter 🙏
Thanks for this awesome content
Our pleasure! 😄
Always enjoy seeing your videos and the way you guys interact. The lakes were beautiful and look so peaceful. You both put some work and walking into this one. Diesel knew he had to do something after the Kitchen trash incident. He is a smart dog and so loveable. Thanks for all the work and time you give into what you do in your travels and experiences. God Bless
Thanks for the kind words, Darryl. He is smart for sure haha knows how to get his way... All the best ☺️
That shot of Diesel sitting at the picnic table wagging his tail and smiling with the other family was hilarious. So stinkin cute! I'm serioulsy impressed you carried that absolute TANK of a canoe plus a pack over those portages. Kudos 💪🙌 Beautiful video!
Haha he's a character that's for sure! Always seems to surprise us with his antics. It was a character builder.... Thanks for noticing the extra effort 😂. We appreciate you watching and following along. Cheers !
Awesome trip with great footage.
Thank you 🙏 we're glad we could finally get back to the Sunshine coast !
It's always a pleasure to see your video. This was beautiful. I enjoyed every part of it and especially Diesel. He is special! Can't wait to see you guys in the next video.
Thank you so much! Diesel is definitely the star of the show and such a joy to have with us on all our adventures! He’s a trooper🥰
