AI will be absolutly no different than people, they may actually be FAR better with a lack of emotions. I theorize Emotions naturally develop in any being that has "consiousness". However people are far from wise and will always hate what they do not understand.
Gotta disagree on one hand. It's the human sense of anxiety and dread that makes Lovecraft good. But AI imagery's coldness gives me similar vibes Lovecraft's human characters describe. I gave this video a dislike. AI art is like that Epicurean robot in Futurama.
The only flaw was the image of the monster kept changing to something completely different. one monster more accurate to the words would have been better for immersion
@@NTJediHonestly that aspect of generative AI does kind of work for Lovecraft, IMO. His monsters tend to have an unkowable-ness to them. In my mind, they've always been higher dimensional beings which we only see projections of as they move through our dimension. Admittedly, that doesn't exactly work as well for something like Dagon as it does for something like Azathoth, Cthulhu, or even a Shoggoth, but it doesn't ruin it for me necessarily.
I know the AI didn’t follow the prompt. I thought the creator of the video was just being sloppy. But your comment makes me realize it inadvertently added a deep irony to the story, and gave it a notch up on terror and weirdness. That’s probably why he left those sequences in. It works, by God! Thanks❤️

As much as I really like the Spanish horror movie, this is much more closer to the actual story Howard Lovecraft wrote. Beautifully, hauntingly presented. Howard eas and always will be a gofted genius who, like Franz Kafka, explored the very borderlands of insanity and madness itself. Cautionary artists, writers, and content creators will always have a place in humanity's 'darker realms.'
I wonder what Lovecraft would think about his writing being fed into machines to create these disconnected animated abominations? Perhaps he would have imagined Azathoth as a giant server rack in the center of the universe with IT workers playing keytars to lull it into pseudo-slumber, only aware enough to defecate out iterated upon iterations of slop after consuming what creativity and originality still existed in the universe. This does capture the indescribable monstrosity so often found in Lovecraft's work. Ever-changing and morphing from one nameless and undefinable nightmare to the next, more than enough to drive the average onlooker to derangement and lunacy. Both Lovecraft's writing and AI output induce that fear of the unknown, both making man feel miniscule and insignificant, ultimately useless in the face of what seems akin to godlike power. Forces so great that it turns mankind into a mere spectator in regards to its own existence.
Top notch work & as a lover of HPL this is amazing & captivating as he would have wanted. Absolutely amazing! It's almost exactly the way my mind saw the story when reading it. If I might suggest one alteration - rather than constantly returning to the narrator's face talking to camera, might it work better simply showing the man bent over his desk writing his account - from various different angles as the camera moves around behind him. It's only because the mouth movements aren't in synch and it took me out of the story each time it happened but if you avoid the problem by shooting a rear view of him writing then there's no need to worry about the synch. A minor point I know. Looking forward to further adaptations. Thanks for all your hard work!!

@@AILivingBook :) I've only recently begun watching AI vids. Some of them are pretty funny with the mistakes. Yes, doing separate clips and trying to keep the face the same... maybe that is hard to do. I think I saw someone say you can train it using several images of the face you want and maybe it will stay more consistent? I don't know. It's very interesting and if it was all free, I might try it but I don't want to even pay $10/mo to try messing with it. Keep going! I'm sure you'll find a way to improve the consistency issue.
Check out my new video! This time, I’ve achieved much better consistency. While there are fewer close-up frames of the character’s face, the overall facial features are much more stable. There are still some issues with the shape in certain frames, but I’m actively working on improving that. 😉

When I read I never get a perfectly clear image of what the character looks like, but, like this video, it basically stays the same but evolves as the story and circumstances progress. Very interesting how this “intelligence” is choosing(?) to do that.
This is really interesting. The atmosphere and music really capture the dread that Lovecraft tried to convey. The only difficulty, which is a pervasive AI problem is that, scene to scene, the AI keeps changing the look of the narrator, shifting facial features, age, skin tone, etc. This is one of the toughest problems with AI, consistent imagery. Nevertheless, a solid and ambitious take on a great story
The inhuman coldness of artifical intelligence suits the sense of existential dread and cosmic indifference that Lovecraft imbued his pages with.
