Looks great, but the Pilot Sport 4S is definitely a summer tire, sir! Also, generally speaking when torquing wheel bolts and/or lug nuts, you want the tire to kiss the ground with the jack or lift, torque the wheel down, then lower it completely. This way you lessen the risk of the wheel being improperly tightened down. Cheers!
Very cool your wheels. For your info note that when you lift the car with the jack from the one side, you place the plastic stops to the other side of the car, one in the front of the front wheel and the other back of the rear wheel. You prevent the car to roll by locking the wheels. Greetings from Greece and merry Christmas
James, the wheel look awesome and have change the car so much in my opinion. I have ran spacers in several cars with out issues and I never put any lubricant in between. I am glad you went with spacers I think that also changes the look of the car. I have truly enjoyed watching all the changes on the car over the past year great upgrades in my opinion. I do feel the car would look better if you lowered it a little I have spoken to several P-Car owner on coilovers vs. springs and most say if you are not going to track your car springs should be fine just to lower the car.
I know the feeling your feeling. I purchased my 04 C4S in june of 2018. It looks nothing like what it did when i purchased it. Changed the wheels, front chin spoiler, tail lights, turbo trunklid/spoiler, lowered it, full race suspension, intake, exhaust, underdrive pulley, short throw shifter with ICT knob and boot. I love all the changed and the car feela like its "mine". Wish i could post pics to show you. Have fun with your changes!
Hey Mike! Thanks!! Please shoot me some photos to AutoAmateurBlogger@gmail.com or IM me on Instagram @auto.amateur - I’d love to see some photos of your ride!!
Hi there from England, been following for a while, just picked up the one on the 997 wheels and spacers , brilliant, love the relaxed way it’s done, keep up the good work 👍
This is a great video to watch and enjoy, thanks for sharing! I purchased a first generation boxster S 2 weeks ago and one of the main reasons is because of the stance and how it's sat considering the rear wheels looked beefy. Brought it home to find there is a set of wheel spacers in the rear which achieves that ready to pounce look 👍
What a great improvement, James. Get the Fisters and lower it by 20 mm, then it will be perfect. Don‘t be afraid of the spacers, Porsche sells them, too. Congrats again :-)
Lobsters look great. Always liked these wheels. Color ties in with the decals. Color is close to Porsche color GT silver, which is the OEM color of my 997 wheels.
I did the same process with my 997 turbo in the rear wheels only because i heard that spacers in front wheels might cause problems when turning tight, also i was told to re align the rear wheels after installing spacers in order to avoid uneven wear.My advice is to be more conservative and install 10mm rear and 5mm front.
The color of the rims are just perfect 👌 also the wheels looks really Flush with the spacers. I think personally that with a set of Eibach springs the look will be completed. You need to reduce slightly the wheel gap... like 25mm in the front and 20mm in the rear 😃👍
Great video, the wheels look great! I have the lobster claws on my 997.1 C2S as well but I have yet to get the spacers... I might have to now that I've seen how your car looks! Also I would 10/10 recommend the Fister Sport exhaust and don't worry about the core replacement it is so easy and pain free. I recently ordered and installed mine (within the last month, I also did the matte black exhaust tip finish) so the process is fresh in my mind. Darin Fister is amazing when it comes to customer service, he constantly sent me updates on where my exhaust was in the manufacturing process (cleanup, powder coat, etc). When you order you also pay for the return shipping label and you keep the box/packaging the exhaust comes in. You repackage the same box/packaging with your exhaust (after you've installed the new one) and you slap on your already-paid-for return label (55lbs) and you drop it off at a UPS store! I sound like an ad haha... but seriously, the sound absolutely transformed my C2S. It's been the best mod for my Porsche so far (and I think in Michael Bath's video he says the same)! I will say that you can definitely DIY this installation, it is very straightforward and the tools are minimal besides torx bits and a torque wrench. The process took us a little less than 3 hours. One thing to note is that you will probably want some assistance when installing the new muffler because it is heavy and difficult to get the nut tightened with one hand while balancing the muffler with the other. The 2-person effort is around 5 minutes max, all that person has to do is help support the new muffler while you get the nuts in to support it. Good luck Elon!
Great addition to your car , the lobsters are a massive improvement in my opinion. Love the Satinum !! Would be interested to know if the spacers affect handling in any way, and also how the Michelins perform - i'm on Pirellis on my 4S and am thinking of switching.Well done and keep up the good work.
Looks fantastic. Excellent choice of rim and colour. After seeing your spacers I’m going to add them myself. Thanks for showing us the difference. Yes to all of it!! In the vid looks like a bit of lowering would finish it off nicely although you had it jacked up so will probably settle down a bit but amazing transformation. Awesome 👏 👍 👍 👍
Thanks Paul!!! Yeah, I think I do need to lower it next. I wasn’t sure at first but now the rims are on I think it’s time. A new research project for me.... 🙃🥳🥳🥳
Wheels with spacers look fantastic! 👌Fister exhaust will transform your driving experience. Michael Bath raves about it. Lowering your car will obviously visually get it closer to the GT3 vibe, but living with a firmer ride and scrapping on speed humps and driveways will be a trade off to consider. All the best with it. ✌️
Yes, spacers are well worth it, especially at the back. I'd be really interested to know whether the steering feel changes better/worse with the front spacers??
I've actually read some users say if they could do it over again and get it "perfect" they'd choose 9mm front and 14mm rear... I kinda see what they mean now. The 15mm rear is stuck out just a HAIR too far almost? Maybe with a 10mm+ drop it would tie it in better, not sure. Sometimes things are optimal illusions on video. Either way those wheels are VERY well done and pretty. Beautiful 997 Stradale you have!
The Michelin tires seem like they have lower profile than your other tires? This is why it looks like it needs to be lowered. This is the trade off you get when installing high performance tires. Love the lobster wheels and spacers, looks absolutely amazing!
I loved this video. The wheels with the new spacers looks great! Any possibility you could list the tools you used for mounting the wheels? The type of jack, rubber block, insulated socket and tire mounting pin. This would help the other amateur enthusiasts was well.
Thanks Jacky! It felt a little heavier to steer at slow speeds, but more stable. At any regular driving speed though I couldn’t notice any difference. I think the results are 80% looks, 20% feel.
I have done gun metal grey evo grey for my lobster claw and plus these r not just any rims these r BBS factory wheels and I did 15mm spacers all around for ECS tunning and they looks perfect and they came with black lugs
I’ve a 997S narrow body and I’m thinking of getting a custom set of 18s Braid Fuchs with 8.5 on the front and 11 on the rear, so the same width as my current Turbo alloys which are in satin platinum. However I wonder what the optimum offsets will be? I don’t like the Fuchs in 19s, they just look too big and I want more tyre.
What can you do next??? HnR springs. You will then have the same looks an stance as mine! Once drops and inch and gives it a frog like stance :) And yes get an exhaust. 200 cell cats and a fister
There a lot of good springs out there but I would go with Techart springs. Here is a second option that's almost the same in price are the BC Coilovers lost of guys have them and love them I did hear if you get these best to also get the swaybar links.
car looks brilliant. love the 997 anyway. what i would change is the exhaust system and lower the car a little bit. looking forward to new videos. greats from Germany
Do know if I can put spacers on my 997.1 C4s with the Classic wheels? I’ve see some posts out there that indicate the Classic wheels have built in spacers. That’s Auto Am!
A bit off your video topic, but are those stock brake calipers? I have a base 997 and your calipers look bigger. May be it’s optics because yours are painted. . I’d appreciate any details on your calipers if they are not stock. Thanks!
I absolutely love your videos. I honestly think you present so well!! I am watching from the UK and wish you still produced mod vids for the 997 as I still have one. Quick question got you I have the 19 inch Carrera wheels and am thinking about getting spacers also. Do you think 7mm on the front sits perfectly or would you of preferred to go go for a 9mm on the rear?
Very kind, thanks Aaron!! Really appreciate the feedback. I did 7mm on the front and 15mm on the rear of my 997 and the whole set-up looked perfect with my 19in lobsters. Good luck!
Lobster fork wheels look nice. I have an 07 997S Cab that came with those wheels and like em. Noticed you removed the PORSCHE lettering in the back. What happened?...got tired of them? I was considering it but thought it looked too busy.
The PORSCHE letters are still sitting on my stock deck lid / spoiler. For the GT3 spoiler I felt like I needed to keep it simple, too much going on already with the wing and the stripes.
Auto Amateur Ah, ok. Makes sense. Those lobster forks in grey do look real nice with the car. Nice job. My C2S is midnight blue with sand beige interior, so you’re making me jealous with that nice new steering wheel. The mods never end do they?... ;)
The wheels look great but imo the car has a more purposeful stance with the spacer but either way the car is looking great with the new wheels and the colour choice was spot on. I think doing this over time is the right thing too. You’re clearly enjoying the changes and you get to live with them for a bit before you move it along. I’d keep the decays but maybe go for a shadow look of dark greys to ‘stealth’ it. Or maybe not... any whilst not predicting anything I think it will break your heart to sell this one...
Auto Amateur BTW, Don’t lower your car unless you’re going to track it. If it’s a car for the streets then your car looks perfect. The 997 is low enough. I have trouble going into my driveway as it is with my factory set up. Believe me I like lowered stance as well... when I was in high school... but I guess I’m a bit older now and I’m over lowered cars unless it came like that from the factory. My front lip spoiler scrapes all over the place and I can’t imagine it Being any lower. But at the end of the day you do what makes you happy; it’s your car. Just saying your 997 stance looks good! Happy 911 driving.
Yes but they have great cold temp performance and great wet climate performance. I wouldn’t use them in the snow but ok, 3-season tires, good enough. 😆
Great videos!!! I have a white 2008 997 Carrera S (GT3 Aero kit), is it possible to install a rear wing, like the gt3 RS? Thanks for the great content, and excuse my english.
I am interested by your feedback concerning your garage interlocking floor experience with the salt and snow melt. How easy or difficult is that to maintain ?
Really like the wheels also. Unfortunately I still have a lot of tread on my 18" std Pilot Sports so am loath to make a change to 19. Try as I might I just can't see a big improvement with the spacers...
@@AutoAmateur I noted you were considering removing your side decals. At the time you put 'em on I wondered how the yellow over black would wear on you. Not much else goes well at all; I finally settled on a lightish blue. So far it appeals, we will see in a year. I have a Fabspeed exhaust the chief benefit compared to other options is they integrate with Fabspeed headers and you can also plug and play their racing cat converters, at which point you likely are making 375 bhp or more.
Light blue! Nice!! I love the look of my decals but I sometimes miss the Darth Vadar like all over black look. The great thing about decals is they’re cheap to buy and easy to remove. I might take them off for a season, then put the same style back on. We’ll see.
James, one word, SOOOOOOO Nice (ok, it's 2 words...) I think we should launch a club. The #michaelbathstyle club 😁😊👌 Just a remark about your spacers, you will have more rock chips on your rear fender due to the more "outside" position of your front tires. But undoubtedly, it looks perfect. Always pleasant to watch your videos
Aha! Thanks Laurent!! I actually have new clear rock chip protectors to install on my wheel arches. I’ll watch out for that. Thank you!! #michaelbathstyle - count me in! 🥳🥳🥳
Haha. I have a friend who runs 20in wheels on a 997 and he is always talking about going back to 19in. I’m sure the ride is going to be as enjoyable with 20s. I’m sticking with 19s.
Not a big fan of spacers. I ended up having a custom set of Vossen wheels made for my 997.1 to get around not using spacers. I now run 305 on the rears so gained 10mm and a better offset.
Oh! It’s a red SS Camaro that I hired in Maui. That was a fun week of driving around the twisting and turning roads of the island. ua-cam.com/video/tN7b8DIf0tY/v-deo.html
Wow James that’s sooooo much nicer wheels than your old wheels it makes the car ,,, the spacers setup was spot on & well fitted no need to get Porsche to check your work. Good job 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ glad you didn’t put gunk on the disk good call and I see you have a set of torque wrenches 🔧 nice one, give us your feed backs on your new PS-4s and for your next trick ,,, how about some engine mounts easy job to fit and you’re gonna love the feel when you go on your next road adventure, you can always go back to your standard engine mounts if you want the soft comfortable ride ... engine mounts is like having the PASM set to medium, instead of hard, it makes your car feel more sporty but there’s a little more noise in the cabin,,, not a lot,,, but a little more nothing to worry about ...
Thanks Ron!! I love the idea of a little more sound in the car! Fister exhaust plus engine mounts... I can hear the hum and the roaring around corners already! 🤩 Thanks so much for the advice, as always! Appreciate it!!
Wheels are a great improvement ! Beware you don't "jump the shark" by lowering the car, stop now ! You will increase the second hand value by removing the stripes which will further draw attention to those superior wheels. Consider short shift kit upgrade.
I think doing the 1 in Eibach Sport drop is perfect, not a huge change mechanically but will really improve aesthetics with those awesome wheels. Go coilovers if the struts are over 100k miles
Auto Amateur Mine is 20mm lower as a factory option, Sport Chassis is 10mm lower than PASM and has a LSD 😉 I’m guessing it’s just springs, depends how much you’re willing to spend but coilovers would be great, either Bilstein PSS9’s or KW V2’s seem to get the best reviews, or H&R springs with your dampers .. do you have PASM on yours? Lobsters look great btw and I want to upgrade my steering wheel like yours, hopefully without knifing it!
$150 per rim to powder coat them!!!!! wholly cow. I pay $60 a rim here in the Chicago area and they are flawless . Don't get me wrong yours are very nice.
@@AutoAmateur I have used www.cpcpowdercoating.com/. If you do come out to the Chicago area (southwest area) let me know. If you can make it during the spring or summer. I might be able to arrange something special. Can fill you in privately if you would like.
I noticed Michael did not have his Porsche center caps pointing at the the value stem...fwiw.......also, nice wheel just looks like you need to lower your car a little......spacer all around
The car looks f’n amazing!!! Love the wheels! You definitely did the right thing with the spacers. I did notice right away that coil overs/springs should be next. I wouldn’t go too low and sacrifice comfort, but just enough to close up the wheel arch gap. More so in the rear that the front. I think the wheels look great with the side stripe decal and the centerline decal. Fister exhaust would also be a nice mod. Your 911 came together very nicely! Well done for an Australian Elon Musk!!!😂🤣
Hahahahaha. Thanks mate!! Good god, Elon Musk. Well, I guess I don’t mind being mistaken for a billionaire. 🤦🏼♂️ Fister is coming up next! I just ordered it. Maybe engine mounts next, then lowering springs.
Auto Amateur Definitely take care of legitimate maintenance items before any vanity items. Engine mounts 1st. I just read a loooong thread on rennlist asking if the M97 was the Epitome if 911 engines (non-GT, Turbo, etc. obviously) and it almost scared me away from a 997.1. As much as I like the 997.2, I think the .1 may be the best place to be. Ever considered doing a video on your thought of the 996 vs 997.1 vs 997.2 or would you consider yourself too much an “Amateur”? Perhaps take us thru your thought process at least when initially purchasing your 996 and the switch to the 997.1. Just a thought.
Always impressed by your skills James 👏🙌. The wheels have taken you car to another level! They work so well with all your mods... I actually think the wing looks better with the lobsters 👍. I am not a fan of spacers but I think they work, as you know I opted not to have them. Lowering...? Maybe 10-15 would look better but as @nicholastravers mentioned you will scrape a lot more 😬. I don’t think the #michaelbathstyle will be trending soon 😆😆
I think if you had it lowered like Michael’s it would have made it even better but it looked great just like that too👍🏻. #michaelbathstyle is a cool one. You’ll need to pick up a few watches too;)
I really like that steering wheel. I really feel the decals date the car. just my opinion and my opinion usually is off so take it with a grain of salt.
hey where in the UK are you originally from? car looks good with the wheels and spacers but you need to lower the suspension so the wheels look right cos the spacers has pushed the wheels out and does make the car look like a mini range rover. oh also you look like a chip monk, sod elon musk, get yourself some techart springs there the best you can get and with them get a set of Bilstein B6 shocks to go with it..
HI, if you dont mind me asking why you jumped ship to the US from the land of beatles? and for gods sakes drop that suspension, Techart springs and a set of Bilsteins B6 is just right. for all round driving ..
The new wheels look great and the spacers do make a subtle difference aesthetically. How do spacers impact handling, if at all? You and Michael will have to meet and do some videos/drives together...small issue of logistics.
You’re right those lobster claws are rocking but that guy he should’ve called you howdy duty kind of like the older duty lol I know this is an old video you probably will never read this
James ""Elon Musk" wheels look great, spacers enhanced them, good move. Been thinking of spacers for my 997 please do a follow-up on performance. Love your videos I would like to join your Porsche and pancakes group but too cold in your location brother. lol.
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is definitely NOT an all season tire. Please do not ruin your beautiful car attempting to drive on those tires in the snow or extreme cold. I just put those same tires on my 991.1 C4S and I love them.
Thanks for the heads up! Yes, despite what the shop told me when they sold the tires to me, I’ve come to discover they’re absolutely not all season tires. Thanks!!
Auto Amateur well the 1 plus is that you have probably the best summer tire on the market right now. I replaced the Pirelli P Zero tires with the Michelins and the car rides smoother and handles significantly better.
I'm breaking a sweat watching you not use power tools. Just get a milwaukee 12v impact ($80? or so,) and Harbor Freight 1/4" hex to 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" adapters they're like 3-5 bucks. Use it for zipping them to snug and loosening. Tq afterwards. Pick up some jackstands they're cheap, put em on a piece of metal or maybe thick plywood if you're worried about the floor. I've had cars fail at the jack point before. I get back and the rotor is on the ground, jack still standing tall.Never get a $500 Camaro lol
Looks great, but the Pilot Sport 4S is definitely a summer tire, sir! Also, generally speaking when torquing wheel bolts and/or lug nuts, you want the tire to kiss the ground with the jack or lift, torque the wheel down, then lower it completely. Gr8 job james. Wider stance really makes the narrow body look more aggressive. 👍🏼

Lower it! 1.5 inch

And yes get an exhaust. 200 cell cats and a fister
Great suggestions!! Thanks!! 🙌🙌 I hadn’t considered cats before. That’s cool. Thanks!
They look awesome, we’ll done on getting them on. Now to lose the Paris-Dakar look! An inch drop would do the trick 👌
Hahahah. On it. 😎
Keep up the great content. Thank you.
Thank you Geovani! 🙌🙌
Did you roll the lip of the fender for the spacers
I’m not sure what you mean, sorry. Roll the lip??
Get the seat mount fire extingisher for a little pop.
Yellow seat belts?
Ha! Great UA-cam handle by the way! I loved the Matrix movies.
I like the idea of the fire extinguisher but yellow against my sand beige interior might not look right.
Nice job. What do you call the long thing you put in the wheel to help align putting you wheel back on!?
Here you go... it’s called a Wheel Mounting Guide Bolt and it’s just $10. www.suncoastparts.com/product/99957107430.html
Beautifull !! Correct torque is 96 ft-lb
There a lot of good springs out there but I would go with Techart springs. Here is a second option that's almost the same in price are the BC Coilovers lost of guys have them and love them I did hear if you get these best to also get the swaybar links.
Thanks Jose!
Wow that’s a nice car !
Cheers!
car looks brilliant. love the 997 anyway. what i would change is the exhaust system and lower the car a little bit. looking forward to new videos. greats from Germany
and i would recommend around 20mm to lower the car. don't go to crazy. but you will defnetly like it afterwards.
Danke Andreas! 🇩🇪 🤩🙌
Thanks!
Hey Bill! The calipers are 100% stock OEM Carrera. It must be the color that makes them look different.
Good luck!
@@AutoAmateur thank you I have just received them in the post and will be fitting them soon
Did you have any wheel wobble with the front spacers? I noticed they don’t have a hub extension
Not at all, the feel of the car was just like before. Perhaps even a little better, more stable.
The mods never end do they?... ;)
You’re right. The mods can go on and on! 😆
Ps. I love the midnight blue color on the 997. I’ve only ever seen one with a black interior. I bet it looks amazing with the sand beige.
You’re right about that!!! The more I live with this 911, the more I love it. It’s not going anywhere any time soon. 🥰
Looks awesome
Thank you!!
Those lobster claw wheels look great on 997! Better than your old one since they were too small for this car. Looking 👍
Thanks!! Yeah, I was very impressed with how they turned out. Especially the finish that Adrenaline Customs did on them. Thanks so much!
Love the spacers. Whole package looks fantastic. Like I said on IG, you are winning me over to lobsters with this look!
Hahahah. Thanks!!
You have to tint the windows! Looks great
Aha!! Nice idea! The rear window and small rear side windows are all tinted but that’s a great suggestion! Thanks! Another job for the spring.
Aren't Pilot Sport 4s' summer tires?
Yes but they have great cold temp performance and great wet climate performance. I wouldn’t use them in the snow but ok, 3-season tires, good enough. 😆
@@AutoAmateur The 911 is looking great BTW. Everything matches so nicely.
Thanks!!!
What size tires do you have on the back 305's?
Good question! No clue!! I’ll check.
I’ve since moved from my 997 to a 991, but on the invoice here’s what I had... 235/35 R19 91Y Pilot Sport 4S... and 295/30 R19 100Y.
Great videos!!! I have a white 2008 997 Carrera S (GT3 Aero kit), is it possible to install a rear wing, like the gt3 RS? Thanks for the great content, and excuse my english.
Yes! It’s possible to install the GT3 RS wing on a 997 CS. Thanks for the comments!
Great! Thanks!!
I am interested by your feedback concerning your garage interlocking floor experience with the salt and snow melt. How easy or difficult is that to maintain ?
Easy!! No issues at all. The snow melts, drains away. Once every year, maybe twice, I use my shoo vac to pull up any dust or salt. Boom. Easy.
I have the same spacers love them
Really like the wheels also. Unfortunately I still have a lot of tread on my 18" std Pilot Sports so am loath to make a change to 19. Try as I might I just can't see a big improvement with the spacers...
I think you need to see the spacers in person. I was with you, not sold on them at all until I put them on and walked around the car.
We’ll see.
Nice project.
Thanks!!
James, one word, SOOOOOOO Nice (ok, it's 2 words...) I think we should launch a club. The #michaelbathstyle club 😁😊👌
Just a remark about your spacers, you will have more rock chips on your rear fender due to the more "outside" position of your front tires. But undoubtedly, it looks perfect.
Always pleasant to watch your videos
Aha! Thanks Laurent!! I actually have new clear rock chip protectors to install on my wheel arches. I’ll watch out for that. Thank you!! #michaelbathstyle - count me in! 🥳🥳🥳
Auto Amateur 😎
How long until you go to Carrera SIII 20's in Platinum? To fill the well, if that's what you're going for.
Not sure if you have answered this already. What is the red car at the end of your intro? 1:00
Oh! It’s a red SS Camaro that I hired in Maui. That was a fun week of driving around the twisting and turning roads of the island. ua-cam.com/video/tN7b8DIf0tY/v-deo.html
@@AutoAmateur Thanks. I have always wondered.
I’m definitely interested in the short shift kit. Fister exhaust first though. That’s up next!!
Ps. Thanks!! 🙌🤩
I think doing the 1 in Eibach Sport drop is perfect, not a huge change mechanically but will really improve aesthetics with those awesome wheels.
Go coilovers if the struts are over 100k miles
I think I asked in another video, but which aerobat spoiler is this??
GT3 style from Jacquemond France.
Go a 20mm drop as per the factory sport chassis, mine has SC and sits perfect imo (5mm spacers all round too).
Thanks!! What would you recommend for lowering? Any specific product / manufacturer?
Auto Amateur Mine is 20mm lower as a factory option, Sport Chassis is 10mm lower than PASM and has a LSD 😉 I’m guessing it’s just springs, depends how much you’re willing to spend but coilovers would be great, either Bilstein PSS9’s or KW V2’s seem to get the best reviews, or H&R springs with your dampers .. do you have PASM on yours? Lobsters look great btw and I want to upgrade my steering wheel like yours, hopefully without knifing it!
Hahahaha. Keep all knives locked away. 😆🤦🏼♂️
Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll check them out!! I don’t have PASM on my C2. Just PSM and Sport mode.
@@AutoAmateur Eibach Sport 1 in is perfect!
Love the lobsters, colour’s perfect, and have you framed the failed steering wheel centre, own it 😎👍
Hahahahaha. I have to, right?! 🤷♂️🥳🥳🥳
$150 per rim to powder coat them!!!!! wholly cow. I pay $60 a rim here in the Chicago area and they are flawless . Don't get me wrong yours are very nice.
Send me the deets of your shop! I like a good weekend trip to Chicago! 😆🤩👍
🤔 I do, I do 😆
Need to put sport springs to lower the car
Great looking car *****
Thanks!! 🤩🤩🤩
Love it!!
Thanks!
Love it 👌🏾
The car looks f’n amazing!!!
Great suggestion!!
The lip of the fenders
Always impressed by your skills James 👏🙌. The wheels have taken you car to another level! They work so well with all your mods... I actually think the wing looks better with the lobsters 👍. I am not a fan of spacers but I think they work, as you know I opted not to have them. Lowering...? Maybe 10-15 would look better but as @nicholastravers mentioned you will scrape a lot more 😬. I don’t think the #michaelbathstyle will be trending soon 😆😆
We’ll see about that #michaelbathstyle !!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks Michael and THANK YOU for your support as I 100000% saw your rims and said, “Yup. I want THOSE!”
Auto Amateur 👊
I think if you had it lowered like Michael’s it would have made it even better but it looked great just like that too👍🏻. #michaelbathstyle is a cool one. You’ll need to pick up a few watches too;)
@@vancityflyguy 👍😁
I really like that steering wheel. I really feel the decals date the car. just my opinion and my opinion usually is off so take it with a grain of salt.
Hahaha. Thanks!! One day I love the decals, the next I don’t. It’s really on and off. One more season then I think they’ll come off.
Bring back the 997! ;)
HA!! I know, right?!
Looking good
hey where in the UK are you originally from? car looks good with the wheels and spacers but you need to lower the suspension so the wheels look right cos the spacers has pushed the wheels out and does make the car look like a mini range rover. oh also you look like a chip monk, sod elon musk, get yourself some techart springs there the best you can get and with them get a set of Bilstein B6 shocks to go with it..
Liverpool! On the might red men! 🥳🥳🥳🙌
HI, if you dont mind me asking why you jumped ship to the US from the land of beatles? and for gods sakes drop that suspension, Techart springs and a set of Bilsteins B6 is just right. for all round driving ..
Hahaha. Noted, that stuff is on my 2019 wish list.
Ps. I came to the US for a job, then I met my wife and we decided to settle this side of the pond.
The new wheels look great and the spacers do make a subtle difference aesthetically. How do spacers impact handling, if at all? You and Michael will have to meet and do some videos/drives together...small issue of logistics.
Haha. I know! That would be the 997 equivalent of an MCU crossover movie. 😆🙌
I hear the handling at slower speeds is different with spacers. I’ll do a follow up video for sure! Just need the snow to go away... 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
@@AutoAmateur will be interesting to hear your thoughts. Tempted to do it on my series 1 997 turbo six speed.
I’ll let you know for sure!
Pilot sport is a summertire 😏
I think you need to officially add a #satinum tag for this video :-)
Hahaha. Done!!
You’re right those lobster claws are rocking but that guy he should’ve called you howdy duty kind of like the older duty lol I know this is an old video you probably will never read this
Ohhhh but I will and I did!! 😂
Nice
James ""Elon Musk" wheels look great, spacers enhanced them, good move. Been thinking of spacers for my 997 please do a follow-up on performance. Love your videos I would like to join your Porsche and pancakes group but too cold in your location brother. lol.
Ha! Yeah, no worries about that. 🥶🥶🥶🥶 But if you do find yourself out this way in the warmer months give us a shout!
Needs Lowering to complete the look Nice Car
Thank you!! 🤩🙌
Great rim choice and color.
Ha! Done. Ordered. 🥳
PS don't forget to shine the tires, could not resist spelling it US style.
Hahahaha. I was just thinking about my spelling of tyres as I posted the video last night. 🇬🇧 🤷♂️ 🇺🇸
I’m British and have lost count the amount of times I’m the States I get asked which part of Australia I’m from.
Hahah. It happens to me too. The Americans mostly guess Australian first, for me too! 🤷♂️
Yeah lower it ! How low you ask? Till it touches the ground and back up half a turn
Hahaha. Noooooooo! Too low.
For those who sympathise with Max Meier; start 7.30 & finsh 29.25 :)
Huh?
Nice video, but bloke was right, too much face, OPEN face lol :)
😄🤦🏼♂️
