  • In this video I’m building a flip-top miter saw workbench with an integrated table saw.
All my plans in both Imperial and Metric!
You can get the plans here: etsy.me/44IKdtG
And here you can find all my other plans: www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/Desir...
If you know how to join two planks and have built something with Lego, then you will have no problem understanding the plans.
The build process was very fun and had a lot of tricky parts with some innovative solutions. A workbench is something anyone who does a lot of projects should have. I have been doing all my projects on the floor, on the kitchen table, or on a stack of car tires with an old bookshelf on top of them, but THAT ENDS NOW.
Some tools used in the project
    ---------------------------------
    Bosch Circular Saw: amzn.to/3KwdRJT
    Bosch Jig Saw: amzn.to/33XExma
    DeWalt Impact Driver: amzn.to/3GWESE8
    DeWalt Table Saw: amzn.to/3rClGVT
    DeWalt Cordless Drill/Driver: amzn.to/3tMVcUj
trend pocket hole screw kit: amzn.to/3qRi8zM
    Chapters
00:00 - This is my workbench
    00:41 - Building a workbench frame
08:28 - Adding a bottom shelf to the frame
    14:23 - Installing the countertop
    22:47 - Building a flip-top for the miter saw
35:34 - Adding T-track and rulers to the countertop

Wow, I can’t even lie, I’ve seen every single table saw/workbench on UA-cam. This one is by far, the absolute best one by far. The attention to detail does my OCD so good and just the craftsmanship alone deserves a subscribe, like, and an extensive comment. Well done my friend. I’m looking forward to building one of my own soon, and I will be using a lot of the same ideas as this table. You are an artist and a craftsman of almost unparalleled skill. 110% grade score in my book. Can’t wait to binge watch the rest of your channel. Thank you for the amazing content. As I was watching, my wife asked what I was going and I simply replied “watching the absolute best video there is on UA-cam, I’ll be here for a few more minutes” hahaha 🤣 😆

This... is truly a masterpiece! This has given me ideas for my desk backboard I'm currently working on. Wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with the backboard, was thinking using some sort of kitchen type tiles, but floor laminate was something I didn't think of.

I'm just as new to this as you are so I believe anything is possible if you just set your mind to it. I did create this work bench in Sketchup and was working on it for a very long time trying to figure out each step if it even was possible to build. In the end I felt ready enough to give it a try and it turned out way better then I hoped it would :) Having a great surface to work on make all other jobs so much more fun to do. In the bast I have always worked on the floor... felt it was time for a change.

  • @winknotes
    @winknotes 2 роки тому +7

That is fantastic! I've looked online and seen other designs that are much simpler but involve sliding the entire saw out to manually flip it over. I thought it could be done the way you've done it but couldn't work out the depth dimensions to have the open surface level. I admire your attention to detail too even with "common" lumber.

This was a really nice job. I built a smaller rolling table for belt sanders and grinder. I recommend using a long vertical board on a hinge that moves out of the way for rotating the top and back under to transfer load all the way down to the base of the frame. Over time the latch you used may creep and with the board you can actually pound on the top with no worries

Building is not that hard. The most difficult part is designing it. I spent many months planing it, going over everything in my head over and over again. When i finally started to built it then it was not much more complicated then puttning together some bricks of Lego :D Keep in mind that this was the first time i ever built something in wood so i had probably a lot less experience then you do now. I uploaded plans for this build today, you can find it in the description. They are designen just like how you build Lego, you barley even need to read anything :D

    Hi Kenny,,
Thank you so much for taking the time to document this excellent build! I bought the plans and watched your video closely. I redrew your Miter Saw flip in AutoCAD to modify it to the miter saw model I have and I'm all set.
I have looked at many Miter Saw station builds but I like yours the best. Having an old version of Sketch up from 2015, I was about to relearn the software to begin my design but after going over your plans, I'm ready to build. My shop shed is 12'x16' so I'm going to build 3' depth instead of 4'. Can't wait to get started!
Perhaps you can add addition Amazon links to your casters, track saw, metal strip tape measure for miter saw, wood biscuit bit, Table saw feather board and hardwood planks?
    Thanks again,
    Craig
