The dude who owns the black SS Holden should be congratulated. As he says it's not an SS but a Holden Special Vehicle HSV GTS with the LSA! He even has the LSA badge on the back, I'm impressed.
Ari Vat Australia built Holden, Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi built the Diamanté that was exported to the states. Unfortunately they follow the American style Galant and it killed Mitsubishi Australia. Ford America in there financial issues pulled the pin on Ford Australia and killed Ford here. Then GM America pulled the pin on Holden Australia and killed Holden. Toyota then found it to expensive to be the only car manufacturer in Australia and closed its doors. America you have a lot to answer for. Your car industry sucks and you killed the best.
What's interesting is you're only really seeing half of the story. Ford Australia was a big manufacturer here too with cars that competed with these Holdens (the Falcon XR8 and XR6 Turbo). Shame they didn't reach The States. The Barra 4lt inline 6 Turbo was a great engine.
@@ads214 not great...an amazing engine. Ford really missed the boat not building an aftermarket for the barra. A JDM/Muscle hybrid, strap a turbo to one and you can pull a nismo in no trouble. 1500hp+ on stock heads and bottom end.
Ryan Moore it’s the next generation of the same car. They are both Holden Commodores back in Australia...the VE (G8) and the VF (SS). Thats why they look similar. 😉
most people have never seen one in real life. The car has fender flares that almost put the widebody hellcat to shame. it also sits lower. People that say it looks like a malibu never seen it in real life
The first I knew of holden was when i got back from deployment and searched craigslist for fast cars. Found a procharged gto and paid cash right away and learned to drive stick leaving the bank!
In Australia we call that a HSV Clubsport.. I own one and its got 550fwkw, super fast in a straight line and around the track, love it to death. Cheers.
Just putting it out there, but LS V8s have never been built in Australia. Holden have sourced LS V8s from 1999 onwards from Canada (LS1), USA (LS2, LS7, LSA, LS9), and Mexico (L76, L77, L98, LS3 etc). The last V8 built by General Motors - Holden in Australia was the smallblock Holden V8 (304 cid) in 1998. Holden's engine plant built HFV6s for Commodore/G8/Caprice PPV right up until it's closure in 2016, 12 months before car manufacturing ceased.
The g8 never came with an "Australian v8". Holden hasn't built a v8 since the late 90s. As of 2000, all of the v8s that holden offered were sourced directly from the USA and Gm
As of 99 when the VT switched to the Gen 3 from the 304ci holden black motor. Yes it was a 304ci because the VK commo got the first ones and I had one it was done to get under the 5lt rule for group A racing they got to 4997cc (could be 4887cc). Where the 308 red motor was 5044cc. First fuel injected with the VN and VL walkinshaw
rayn man with that logic the Lamborghini isn’t Italian it’s German. The facts are the fact built in Australia makes it made in Australia. I’m so tired of people saying because they pull an engine from another car doesn’t make it an Australian design or made is bs. With that logic no car is ever from one country because no one car uses parts from one whole country, most American cars have parts out of Mexico or Germany or Asia yet we spout that it’s American hahaha if that’s the case then the ss is Australian as an owner of one in New Zealand I can definitely say proudly I own Australia last Holden
Pump your brakes dude, take your hateful bullshit somewhere else. I have nothing but love for Holden and any other car manufacturer coming out of anywhere else.
Captain Kaos Right so because it’s popular in Australia where they’re made that means everyone else needs to care about it right? I’m a GM guy so I know about Holden but I understand if a lot of people don’t. Most people won’t ever get to drive a real Holden car in their lives so why would they even worry about something that will never directly impact their lives?
dont know why i am just seeing this but I love my SS's and Bryce is a great dude. The holden family here in america is great, its a community i never thought i would be a part of but its amazing!
Awsome and funny clip very enjoyable Big Likes AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE IOY IOY IOY Forget calling it a chevy ss it`s a commodore mate Cheers and keep it coming

See ya out there - keep the vids coming bruh, well done and entertaining to say the least! And get that Kitty fixed!
Chevy SS, Pontiac G8, Chevy Caprice, Holden GTS, Holden SSV and the Holden Commodore VF ALL awesome cars. I have the G8 and I love it. I've driven the Chevy SS and that's what I would Love to have. I'm searching now for the Chevy SS with the Holden emblems.
Yeah the last Australian V8 was the VT Commodore VT Commodore series 2 had the LS1 in it then we went to VY LS1 then we went to VZ LS2 then after VZ we went to VE or G8 as you Americans know then we had LS2 and I think LS3 HSV and the s we went to LSA and LS3 so mate you don't know where everything you got some information wrong

Steph I know this video is kind of old but how can you say u are a Mopar guy,u corrected yourself and said you are a GM guy too,but the C5 is still superior to your Hellcat, 1 it's a Vette,2 it's got a LS1 witch you can modify and get 700hp easily,or just upgrade to the LS3 which can make 1000hp easily on the stock long block with a bigger cam and lsa! Tune,Meth etc. Love your videos man, would love to cruise with you one day!
Alex Ayala You might have the right answer then because I was thinking when they recorded the video JMC's second to the last video was his last video at the time. Btw, how are people getting 13?
Trevor at the time this video was made the demon video was the last one so you are correct. Shoot me a DM on Instagram with your address please you won
Hsv isn't walkinshaw. Hsv is holden but their performance devision like m is for bmw. Walkinshaw is not Holden or hsv they are a separate company that make and install performance packages for holdens with a warranty. Also the motors were made in Australia before the vt series 2 in 2000 started using the ls1 that was built in America then they went to the ls1 and ls3 and then lsa there was no "option" to have an aussie motor or a ls. Also of his car is modded it's not hsv parts, they make factory cars that's it, it would be modded by walkinshaw which is not factory or oem it is aftermarket.
The GTS and The CTS-V are very similar in ride and it has the same LSA 1.9L Supercharge on the LS3 motor. Magnetic suspension as well. Holden just did it better than Cadillac
But you might be Australian but I'm in Australian to I'm right into my Holdens get your facts right the G8 or Commodore VE came with the American LS Motors the only Australian built motor in the VE was the Australian built V6
The dude who owns the black SS Holden should be congratulated. As he says it's not an SS but a Holden Special Vehicle HSV GTS with the LSA! He even has the LSA badge on the back, I'm impressed.
That's because it not a ss, here in Australia holden have a vf gts, which is the car in the video
Damn those Aussies built some nice cars, love that GTS.

Chevy SS's never took off the way they shouldve. Badass looking car.... Most ppl see the Malibu when looking at it
JagSTR Guy I see a remake of the Pontiac G8
Ryan Moore it’s the next generation of the same car. They are both Holden Commodores back in Australia...the VE (G8) and the VF (SS). Thats why they look similar. 😉
most people have never seen one in real life. The car has fender flares that almost put the widebody hellcat to shame. it also sits lower. People that say it looks like a malibu never seen it in real life
That have gts would've outsold the hellcat in the U.S.
hell the SS would of out sold it if people knew about it, but the damn car had no marketing what so ever
As an Australian, there's always a bit of Aussie Pride when an American goes crazy for our Holdens.
Not going to lie the Aussie sounded like a real prick but his SS is wet
The first I knew of holden was when i got back from deployment and searched craigslist for fast cars. Found a procharged gto and paid cash right away and learned to drive stick leaving the bank!
It’s called a manual mate sticks are usually found on the ground.
That’s wassup bro! Still have it??
I have a Hellcat too but those SSs are awesome.
In Australia we call that a HSV Clubsport.. I own one and its got 550fwkw, super fast in a straight line and around the track, love it to death.
Cheers.
LSA711 it’s not genuine over there nothing it’s left hand drive
In Australia its called a HSV GTS. There are different models, not all HSVs are Clubsports
Clubbys and gts’s are different
550kw what did you do to it 😲
Let The Boy Watch probably has the R8 with the LSA or he’s cammed and tuned the LS3 ones
Dope ass vid bruh. Luv from Australia!
They were pretty even in the race. That's impressive to hang with a Hellcat.
Thank man I enjoy this I'm a big Chevy guy so I appreciate you doing some more Chevy stuff Stephen !
Just putting it out there, but LS V8s have never been built in Australia. Zero Five the last 304 was in series 1 VT they switched to the Gen3 LS1with series 2
True, but the rest of the car is 95% Aussie Made.

Exactly!
Wrong the Holden VE was conceptually built in Aussie look up the billion dollar Holden doco ya dipshit
@@72bungy the motors come from the states.

its not a Chevy. Its a HOLDEN ! from Australia
Tell that to your insurance company 😂
Chevy SS looks like a updated version of a Pontiac G8
It is an updated G8. They're both imported and rebadged Holden Commodores
DJ Rodriguez no, V8 Supercars are their version of NASCAR.
vezzarn just better imo based more on a real car.
Rip Chevy SS 2017-2018 or was it 2017 when Chevy cancelled it?
2013-2018.
Video was on point again!!! You make the videos ppl really want to see...in the streets, in places we can get to!! Great work bro!!😁
Thanks John
Anytime bro.
I have never heard of Holden until I played Forza Horizon 3.
Pump your brakes dude, take your hateful bullshit somewhere else. I have nothing but love for Holden and any other car manufacturer coming out of anywhere else.
Stop being a hyna and defend yourself

I'll take that ss over the hello kitty! Lol
As a proud Australian I really enjoyed that video. Keep it up Mod2Fame
dont know why i am just seeing this but I love my SS's and Bryce is a great dude. The holden family here in america is great, its a community i never thought i would be a part of but its amazing!
That was cool , I’m a mopar guy but enjoy different cars !
I want a ss😔
These cars all run different otr intake systems in Australia. VCM OTR when tuned are one of the best for added KW/HP can run MAF or MAFLESS
They improve best because Aussie petrol has more potent octane than the Yanks.
Love the direction this channel is going keep up the good work
Your vids are dope bruh. I cant wait to see you hit 100k. Keep up the good work bruh
That makes two of us 💪🏽
Great Video Man! That guys SS was pulling crazy hard. Thanks for the invite
Yeah from 40mph it's a banchee
Good to see you yanks finally starting to love the vf ss
@7:26... "Jesus!", when the hood popped 😂 - green blooded
I'm sure some of you Americans would also love to see our Aussie designed and built Ford inline 6 turbo barra engine.
Great video Stephen, looks like alot of fun. Way to represent with cheepo Kitty. She was snatching some souls😈😈😈
I'm just trying to hold up the mopar banner brother
Mod2Fame Vlog you are doing a Hell of a job. Driving with no gas pedal and using your hand. Now i want to see a video on that technique🤣🤣🤣
Awsome and funny clip very enjoyable Big Likes AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE IOY IOY IOY
Forget calling it a chevy ss it`s a commodore mate Cheers and keep it coming
That looked fun. Thank you for sharing.
Looked like a close race against the Chevy SS idk about you claiming a win.

Thanks for watching, come out June 3rd for mod2fame fest. Info on Mod2Fame.com/events
They hold up on stock driveshafts and rear ends with the LSA
Cool video, looked like the red SS was pulling pretty good on the Hellcat but it must have been a manual trans.
G8 GXP was always my dream car, love seeing these modded Chevy SS, basically a new G8
Which video shows the Smellkitten winning?
FBO smaller pulley and e85/E90 coming soon after the mod2fame event right?
That's correct from my friends at hhp
Mod2Fame Vlog my guy 💪🏾💪🏾
no gtsr's or w1's over there ?
When was his last video posted
Excellent video bro
Yeah the last Australian V8 was the VT Commodore VT Commodore series 2 had the LS1 in it then we went to VY LS1 then we went to VZ LS2 then after VZ we went to VE or G8 as you Americans know then we had LS2 and I think LS3 HSV and the s we went to LSA and LS3 so mate you don't know where everything you got some information wrong
Of course the hellcat won dude, 850hp vs 500hp
Also, seeing a chev badge on a Holden pisses me off
The hellcats stuffed if it gets to a corner, I'll take the Holden any Day
Sweet looking Chevy SS and Pontiac g8 gt. I have a g8 myself but stock.
Holden will always live on 💯👍🏾👍🏾
Hey, for mod2fame fest do I have to pay an entry fee for every person I bring in my car
yes the entry is per person
Great video yo
My girl has a SS with a twin turbo 408 stroker in it, leaves my R32 and my old boys C63 sitting still pass the 60ft.
The fellow ex-pat Aussie was wrong about the G8's having the Australian motor. The LS3's for the GXP's were made in Mexico like most others.
I’m trying to race JMC with my sonata when he’s in valet mode lol
I thought I was over my love of the SS and sold on a charger till I seen this video smh
Sorry to confuse the situation
Was pretty nice to see the Chevy SS i admit very nice cars
You mean a Holden. Chev had Zero to do with the design engineering suspension or anything else. ALL Australian.
Captain Kaos lol except the KEY factor of it all The LS3 all american🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Ha ha. Ah Americans, exept THIS key point. You yanks could not build a four door sedan THIS good so we sent it to YOU. And that goes for the gto( Holden Monaro) g8 Holden Commodore and Ss. Take that key point. 😂😂😂😂
Bro where you get the T shirt i gotta rock one
www.mod2fame.com/merch
I love those chevy SS’s too bad they stopped making them
To bad THEY stopped making them, I gather your reference is to Australia because America didn’t build them at All.
Captain Kaos i dont know who built them but i know they were sold in America for a couple of years only
Dope video bro 👍🏾
sounded like the holden wasnt tuned properly probably shitty fuel over there or something. still pretty good.
Mister HSV should have qualified the Zeta platform was developed in Australia and came out in 2006 down under. The camaro 5 and CTS-V2 copied the platform.
17 teen hell cats counted
Correct!🇦🇺
Ay bra I really enjoy your videos dude. I fucks with this channel on a daily, damn near feels like you part of my family lol.

Holden vf gts lsa nice ride check out Holden gtsr w1.i have a Holden ve gts love it
Aussie dude's car makes the glorious noise.
GM in USA missed its chance to produce there own competitor to the Europeans.
They should have went with a complete series of the Holden Commodore starting with the SS upwards. Competition for the BMWs and Audis etc.
Something the average family guy who is not a Petrol Head could buy cheaper than the BMW etc. that had real grunt, four doors, Cadillac+ equipment levels with European type refinement and handling.
The Commodore SS had a European Heritage combined with USA type V8s and decades of true Australian Touring Car racing heritage in its genes.
They were a balanced vehicle. Great Sports type Touring Car with the handling refinement and sensible exterior style of a European. Not excessive plate metal hanging over the edges just to make it look big in the normal USA style.

They have performance to burn in a straight line, you can do burnouts if you like but on a Racing Track with turns and straights they can compete and handle very well up against the best.
The USA is ready for that. The way European and Japanese gear sells indicates this.
The chance for that was missed.

3 letters AMG. 😈
I'm just talking junk. Like the channel. I've subbed. 👍🏿
HSV 2017 gtsr W1 beat all cars at the ABDC track test. AMG was in the top 10
9:55 DAMN, that sounds BADD ASS!!!!! LOL
Follow on IG for more pics @Tooelite4dis. Me and my brother were there, white SS and black G8
My favorite sedans man hands down

That wide body hellcat is #TOUGH !
I had a VY 2 R8 Maloo and loved it
I want one so bad!
I counted him saying widebody hellcat 2 times but it was written on the screen 5 different times in the last video
Trevor Franklin the last video is the hunted house right!?
Alex Ayala yeah but I counted the video before that one since he never said widebody in it
He said"go to his last video" that's what I did.
Alex Ayala You might have the right answer then because I was thinking when they recorded the video JMC's second to the last video was his last video at the time. Btw, how are people getting 13?
Trevor at the time this video was made the demon video was the last one so you are correct. Shoot me a DM on Instagram with your address please you won
awesome video ............
cool video
Nice SS you need to take a ride in my nephew Hellcat you'll really feel power..

Just holden together
I want a SS so bad... but getting stuck with a G8. The little brother...
Hsv isn't walkinshaw. Hsv is holden but their performance devision like m is for bmw. Walkinshaw is not Holden or hsv they are a separate company that make and install performance packages for holdens with a warranty. Aussies be like the Holden is our car that we designed but have our LS engines lmao
Wish I could import my VE SS over to the states haha would be fun
That "Chevy SS" in the beginning actually has every accent of an HSV, it's very nice, but I don't see how it's left hand drive..?!?
Because Australia built these COMMODORES in left hand drive and shipped them to America.
Fantastic !!
The GTS and The CTS-V are very similar in ride and it has the same LSA 1.9L Supercharge on the LS3 motor. Magnetic suspension as well. Holden just did it better than Cadillac
Fun vid... thanks...
best vid !!
But you might be Australian but I'm in Australian to I'm right into my Holdens get your facts right the G8 or Commodore VE came with the American LS Motors the only Australian built motor in the VE was the Australian built V6
Family his last video is the abandon house he said hellcat 1s and wide body hellcat 0 times. Waiting for my decal....
Sorry Alex someone beat you to it
