Hey man thank you for your coverage, you will love Projekt Z I know it! I also want to note something real quick: Back when Police Infinity first came out, we were like 16 years old and very naive which also showed in our behaviour, in the past years we've grown a lot (also thanks to you, because we wanted to prove you wrong about how the game was just going to be another trash product that's abandoned). And now we're taking all that experience we've gained and put it into a new game :) I think it's understandable that after 5+ years you want to move on to something new.
I would do the sane. 5 years of coding experience improvement is enormous, I'd look back at any spaghetti code I wrote a few years back and just go "nah, let's start over."
look forward to seeing how it goes its looking amazing so far!! just keep open, honest and transparent with your community and youll keep them around.Look at tarkov for example it sbeen in alpha for a while and has never been more alive and well thanks to how active the team is at small updates and keeping the community on the same page

Yea the dev even accredited you as the reason he stepped things up during one of your livestreams. I think you missed that as you didn't comment on his input in your chat log. I thought it was pretty cool that he commented on how you dragging their game led them to push harder. Sometimes harsh criticism will drive people to do better.
Wish it applied more to other people.. Good on them for really stepping up their game I must say.
@omniscient xt It's the internet. You're going to get trashed whether you want to or not. People need to stop trying to make games that will compete with games that have 80 million dollar budgets when they know they can't. You can wave the "we're just a few people with no money" flag as much as you want, but that won't stop people from comparing your game to those larger, AAA games.
I feel sorry for these developers over the next 4-5 years as AAA games are drifting into 200-300 million dollar territory, using advanced photogrammetry to produce. There will be no competing at all soon. Every thing they release will be considered mediocre, at least from a visualization perspective.

You should revisit Hunt: Showdown, been over like a year since you played it last and the devs have tirelessly worked to add new content like a new map and boss and tons of guns, different UI and progression, lighting, performance, etc. I think you’d be pleasantly surprised with it
highly agree that game makes me sweat balls and they just added chokes to tools which is really helpful for my playstyle

the problem with hunt is it's too repetitive looks good but it loses appeal to quickly
hunt is a game for people who want too camp for 20 minutes. in two years they have added what 2 maps a single new boss bunch of useless weapons and some engine updates. not amazing at all

Last time I played Osiris I got earraped by a sound bug. Was literally so loud I'm surprised I didnt get hearing damage. I uninstalled and havent touched the game since. Lucky I got gifted the game so no money wasted.
I feel like your criticism on Vengeance was exaggerated, these cod-style shooters were very popular in 2008-2013 and now they've kinda disappeared to BRs and highly competitive FPS games, a simple cod-style shooter like that might be the best way to go without competiting with the big AAA games of the moment
But like he said what’s going to stop people from saying “why don’t I just go play COD” the game wasn’t anything special it was just a shooter with a couple game modes. It was someone’s first project so yea of course it wasn’t good. But COD is still pumping out the same game style but added a BR. COD is the reason I believe warface wasn’t popular and still isn’t even though it does things differently
One of the main reasons they disappeared was because people realised you weren't going to dethrone COD by making a game just like COD. Hell, if EA couldn't do it with their reboot of Medal of Honor then nobody could.

@@niallreid7664 The real niche that people are waiting to be filled is an arena shooter that ISN'T CoD. A lot of people are definitely tired of FPS's that are either BRs or CS:GO clones, but they also don't want to play boring old CoD. I think there really is an untold demand for a unique shooter that has the simplistic game mode of CoD but is less casual and more deep.

Fry, I came into your content a few months back and it was fun watching you roast terrible indie games, but I look to you for covering games that have a lot of potential to be good. I enjoy your content that covers bad games, but I also love the side that wants to cover indie games and give them a bigger audience so that that the development may increase if it rises in popularity. I understand that you are not bad guy when you talk about games being bad. You just have a lot of passion for games especially indie ones and you want the devs to get their shit together and improve their game, or start over again and take it slow to actually make a good game. Whatever content you make, I am always happy to watch. From personality to what is being covered to even the game play videos. YO! BigFry loved the video explaining about some games that had potential but never put the effort in to fix problems or even keep up to date with the gaming community who played them. Nice to see someone's taking the time to revisit old games, I for one have seen lots of games that ended up not making it to the release date due to small errors that never got fixed or they didn't want to fix it because they thought it was fine. And to the comments about your attitude or you trash talking certain games or even roasting the game (it's what you do as a UA-camr which I think is great I laughed myself) so keep doing you. They don't like your content than fuck off and watch someone else's channel, simple and easy to remember.

The developers of vengeance should definitely add in a lean feature, add bots and make maps so you and some friends can actually be police. Ya right it is a miss opportunity the game literalllly looks like it’s built for that. Looks good but I think they should change the gameplay aspect they’d probably pick up a lot more attention from youtubers, streamers etc. doing so
what that sounds like is rainbow six siege which i would recommend easily to anyone clocking in with 3,000 hours

add extremely smart bots and you have yourself the entire S.W.A.T, U.S Spec Ops playing it for training against hostage threats, Terrorist threats and Bomb threats.

Update from the future regarding Osiris: New Dawn
Ratings are back up to mixed, dev is posting updates again with bug fixes and adding new functionality including, according to the steam updates part of the store page, adding a whole new layer to the maps having underground areas. The game is still in EA, but from what I can tell, they're actually doing something with it now, it's possible that they were hit by Covid or something, couldn't tell you, didn't buy it, but the updates started back up in November. It doesn't seem like they're addressing why the radio silence, but, since they started, it looks like they've been very very very active in updating the game and keeping players in the loop.
If I were to fathom a guess as an alternative to Covid, I'd assume that trying to push for a 1.0 choked them up and they hit a snag and realized it wasn't ready for 1.0 yet and instead of making a bunch more promises that'd just piss people off, they pulled a Hello Games and buckled down, sorting stuff out like working remotely, getting priorities down and doing a rework to problematic systems. Now, granted, it'd have been great for the player base to know that they weren't just pulling a "We got paid so buh bye!" like so many other devs have done/do with games in that very same genre, but, just figured I'd bring this up because, if I'm honest, I'm probably going to buy the game and give it a go since they're consistently updating the experimental and main builds; sounds like they're on task to change that turd of total silence into a full on garden.
Im telling you my favorite gamemode for any battle royale has always been the Halloween event for apex legends where its starts off BR, but when a player dies they respawn as a Shadow and attack the remaining players down to 10 where it turns into a 10 man team with an extraction point you have to defend from the Shadows

There has been this weird trend some years back where people suddenly adopted the mentality that you absoluely can't criticize anything. Like saying you dislike something was something unspeakable, something to be ashamed of. It luckily started to fade away shortly after it emerged, didn't last for very long but it drove me up the freaking wall.
Anyway, the reason I'm saying that is because I sometimes specifically look for UA-camrs who roast shitty games. I like it, it's entertaining to watch and sometimes, it can even help spread the awarenes of some shady business or simply warn people to save their money.
So BigFry, on the off-chance that you're reading this, keep doing what you used to do! :)

Vengeance is literally built off the assets of the remake from Medal of Honor. The map is even built the same and even has the same everything to it with the reload animations.
I remember when 314 arts first showed up on youtube and started making Unity 3D tutorials. They have come a long way!

I started play Osiris years ago and I was so hyped about it. I hit up my good buddy and had him jump in with me and his interests in games and varied and he's an excellent critic and he said basically everything you did. I really hope they didn't just dip on us. There are plenty of us still waiting for Osiris to get updates.

I played Osiris with a friend of mine and I put in like 100 hours in it over a couple of years... I still think about the memories I’ve made on that game, it’s sooo heartbreaking to see the devs sort of checking out because I love these space survival games, visiting new planets, etc... I truly hope that they pull through and figure out the game because Osiris was the game that would’ve mained if there was more content and updates

I have 41 hours in Osiris, and now I notice it's early access. I love it still.
I've been learning to develop games and watching videos like this make me never want to release any games even for free because if i make a small game i could end up on here for not spending all of my free time on my hobby and linking my life to working on a game i made for fun or to add to my portfolio.
Well if the game is free and it's clearly being stated that it's just a hobby/learning project then people would be a lot more understanding and not completely shit on it. The games industry has been infected by a lot of extremely low effort crap games or literal scams, so people are tired of seeing clearly low effort games being put on steam, often for an insane amount of $.
There are many game jams and communities where people develop small games for fun and to learn, but nobody won't take a crap on those games because it's not pretentious or greedy people only doing it for a quick buck. So you shouldn't be afraid to release your games, just be realistic about the state of your game and maybe don't release it for 10$ on steam when it feels like a clonky hobby project.
If you truly wanted to add a game to your portfolio, wouldn't you expect people to judge it and compare it with industry standard (which a majority of the shit games I've seen from this channel is nowhere near)?
If it's just a fun hobby project that doesn't take itself serious, and knows it's not the next great game, then people will not hate. There has always been room for small hobby project games, just look at the countless of small flash games before in time, sure many of them were bad but some of them actually were great games. But most importantly they were FREE.
If you release something to the public it's only natural that people will judge it, just like people would judge a book or a movie or a random video from a content creator. Developers just needs a healthy reality check sometimes and they won't end up being crapped on by people like BigFryTV. I want to grant you that it IS a very cutthroat industry unfortunately, it is very difficult and the expectations are sky high from the customers, that's just the way it is. Just don't be delusional and you'll probably be fine.

i think the reason the steering is sensitive is due to it being based on a drift car which is meant to have loads of oversteer

I like the ambition of somebody who wants to make a sports game where you do more things actual sports stars do in real life other than playing games in their preferred sport. NBA Ballers wasn’t the best but it let you free roam around the city, buy clothes and jewelry, and all that.
I agree with you completely here on the topic of Vengeance. I'm a Call of Duty and occasional Squad player. I don't want this game, because while it does appear to be a solid game, it has nothing to offer me. But if they make it into a quality tactical co-op police shooter I'll be buying it because there's nothing like that out there and I want there to be.
I love how the ⚽ fails to roll on the ground as it's being dribbled across the soccer field lmao. It's a pure static and doesn't move. Amazing in game physics that truly... Blew my mind.

I remember a game that was so incredible in beta called war rock I believe and it was like a counter strike shooter but I liked it way better me and my brother played all the time then beat was over I think the game changed but the game definitely did it was anus and literally everyone stopped playing immediately it died but the beta was actually SO good we couldn't put it down, never played a game like that ever before or after where the beta was light years better and killed the release because of it.

I think programming the AI for Police Infinity/Vengeance into a coop game like SWAT 4 would be a nightmare.
