I feel like they would make more off of this selling this as a asset pack. It has a bit of the general stuff needed to start to build a game but it needs a lot more work than it seems like they're willing to put into it.

As a Brazilian subscriber I would like to apologize for this game! They literally buy i bunch of assets and toss them together on UE, the “developers” said on a podcast that they never have any previous experience on game development, so they thought how hard can it be right? They basically are trying to learn how to flight a plane in the air…

Its not 'dont ask BigFry" it's just listen when he says its shit. IF players and reviewers say its shit - then its shit, no matter how good you feel your product is. That means it's time to make drastic changes and try to make amends to the reviewer, with a new version later in the future to try again, so they can have good feedback then. The simple fact is, these people wanted to put out a crap game, make as much money as possible, and BigFry said "this is shit" pointing out how bad it was, so now they get less money and are upset they can't scam others.
I am near 100% sure if they fixed the game properly and gave it the attention it needs to run well, and let BigFry do another review, and BigFry agreed it's better and enjoyable for the $25 price tag - he would do just that - IF it ever got that good. He would probably say "while it started out as pure shit, they listened to the players and reviewers and fixed it up real nice"

Just to correct this, Brazilians usually does not know english well, so this guy was using google translator. I am brazilian an raised is the same as created in portuguese, thus, from there we can see that. Also, this means that google converted the R$ to U$ currency. So what it costed in the end was more or less 30k US dollars.

Just crazy. This game looks like a scam to me... you can clearly see good Devs from bad ones, from the passion they put into their software. Nobody is perfect, every game has its flaws, but with passion and talent (and some money obviosuly), you can create something really good and improve it over time. It takes time to create a good game, but people will surely trust such Devs.
It's always laughable to witness a game developer rely on erasure over honnesty. They blacklisted any mention of bigfry on the channel. What a bunch of sniveling cowards!

That "Armor Vest" is definitely an asset stolen from Escape from Tarkov. The "Alpha Rig", literally pixel by pixel plus a red outline.

to be fair, the number of shells ejecting from the gun has nothing to do with "ballistics". that's a visual and animation issue.
As a Brazilian, I got hyped with the announcement of this game years ago… Seeing the first gameplay or even the trailer make me lose interest, not because I expect a fully working and polished game in the development fase or anything, but I got the “feeling” that this game would go nowhere

This review has inspired me for when I develop games. The map design is just amazing. If someone ever plays my games, just know this is where I got the idea for putting graphics cards on buildings. Just amazing.

As a Brazilian I must say that it's a shame, bro... I've been hyped for this game for a while before it's sudden "release" but when I saw the actual state of the game... That was disappointing.
There are so many Brazilian Devs working hard and are never noticed and these guys... these guys just fuck it up like that...

eh most indie games honestly, cruelty squad is ville kallio first game and altho it has many problems it is one of the best games i ever played, because it knows its a cheap game and roll its themes along it, its a game that is ugly and has no shame of it, and is a game that is meant to be broken by nature so whenever something ins't working right it means its working as intended.

The only thing I can't blame this dev guy for is when he forgets he already sent you an email prior. Indie devs often do all their own promoting, and if you're contacting hundreds of content creators on UA-cam, Twitch, etc., it can be easy to forget if you already reached out to someone. I'm a small creator myself, and I still get dozens of key offers and promotion emails for indie games every month, and a small number occasionally are repeats of previous emails. Of all the mistakes made here, that's definitely the easiest to forgive.

I love how the pumping animation for the shotgun is just moving the gun itself back. The hand never moves to pump it, the gun just moves back and up to “simulate” the pumping action lololol

This game reminded me of an fps zombie game that I made for a course. It is a 4 week development time, well minus the large levels though.
Woooow the backpack situation alone, if you had any other players on the server they would've found you and killed you with pebbles while you try to get trough the inventory system

I'm really disappointed seeing this. I'm from Brazil and I actually met the Devs in a game con that I went on 2018. I even have a dog tag they made and gave to anyone that tried their game back then.
Back then the main idea was to be an fps single player game about gang wars or something of the sorts in RIO, taking inspiration from Brazilian movies and whatnot.. they'd have a multiplayer mode that would be like the call of duty multiplayer but the focus was the single player experience.
A couple of time later I saw news of this game again and they scrapped the whole concept to make it a battle royale because of how popular PUBG and other battle royale games became super popular.
Those guys are just in for the money now and it's so disappointing.

Looks like they blew the 150k on the trailers/cinematics (assuming that wasn't a lie) and then had none left over for making the actual game which is basically the same pipeline triple a games take but with at least some game quality

they are afraid to speak ill for fear that the audience that follows this game will attack them. so they pretend that everything is fine and that the project is good. The DEVS of the project are unprepared and are clearly doing everything they can to make money off the game, at any cost.
They have already tried to deceive everyone here in Brazil with false promises, and now they are trying to implement the game in NFT to win as much as they can before the game dies even more.
they lie saying they will bring improvements and always push the dates forward. when the situation starts to get worse, they resort to sentimentality and bad conditions, to gain public commotion.

not to mention that they deceive the Brazilian public from the beginning. they don't believe in the Brazilian people themselves and since the beginning of the project they focus on leaving the game in American language because in other countries it makes more money. meanwhile they are lying to the Brazilian people who put it in English because Steam forces it to put it in English. being that there are several Brazilian games on Steam entirely in Portuguese.
it's okay to focus on the English language, the unfair thing is to use it and lie that you don't put it in Portuguese because the stem won't let you. they always find blame for their mistakes.
they were delaying that bizarre release, and they said they weren't able to release it because steam wasn't releasing the game to release, and that stayed for 2 or 3 months. when the game came out all destroyed, they said it was the fault of old programmers. but who forced them to release it then?? because nobody forced me. they launched it because they wanted the money from the sales.
they managed to spend over half a million on this game and did nothing.
always complaining about lack of money, that they were doing everything but had no money, meanwhile, the owner is always changing cars, where does this money come from? the money can be his, from other jobs, but where's the guy's commitment? instead of giving his blood for the game, and doing what he can, he spends money on a car while chasing people to spend the money on their crappy game.

What amuses me most about this is that some of these quirks *had* to have been deliberate, not just bugs. If you drop a shotgun asset into your game, it's not going to eject shells *and* casings out of the box. They needed to have specifically programmed it to do that for some bizarre reason. That's not a bug.
Man, life is horrible when you need to manually move items from one bag to another. So thankful that when I put my grocery bags into the fridge, they unpack and organize themselves.
I was thinking how many times players would die slowly dragging items via the horrible inv system. This would make people quit 100%
Exactly, all games should have a normal walking speed, instead of a jogging speed, and anything above that walking speed should cost stamina forcing players to slowly walk all over the game. Because realism good.
I believe if they work hard enough to improve the game, it'll be better for them to get investors because it will be proof that they are dedicated to making a good game. If I was an investor, I would look at before and after reviews
fun fact, it would take me maybe 4 or 5 hours to recreate every gun in this game at a higher fidelity and better animations in Blender and ive only had Blender installed for about a month, no way this game cost 150k to produce. maybe 150.
First Phoenix Studio: The slide on the Glock goes back twice because it ejects the empty casing first and then goes back a second time to load a new round to the chamber because realistically, you cannot load a new round when there is already one in the chamber.
