Heart played Zeppelin covers for decades in their shows. I saw them back in the early 80's, they did Black Dog, The Immigrant Song and Rock`n`Roll flawlessly. It was absolutely fitting for Anne and Nancy to do this and even at 62 years old (when this was made) Anne nailed it. This is actually legends paying tribute to legends. Heart is a legendary band as well, and Ann Wilson along with Robert Plant are definitely in my top 5 greatest rock singers ever.
So refreshing to finally see a reactor recognize that the Legendary Led Zeppelin was actually there! So many blow through this incredible tribute by Heart and don't even know that the people they are watching are the original band members!!! Thank you for the great reaction to an amazing performance !!
Ive been a Heart Fan since I was in 8th grade back in 1987. When someone asked who my favorite band was, without a blink I said Heart and the kids would laugh, but even back then I knew talent and supported talented artists. I cried the 1st time I watched this cause Ann finally got recognized and praised for being one of the greatest vocalists and if you been a Heart fan you know that Led Zep were their idols and they often times covered them.
The President of the United States at the time they do this, always is at the show! You are so right, having the original people there watching the person/band performing is amazing. They do this every year. This show totally takes the top choice for me! They just put on TV this past year’s honorees. They honored Garth Brooks and asked Kelly Clarkson to perform his famous song “The Dance.” She did an outstanding job and had Garth Brooks in tears.
The drummer is Jason Bonham who is the son of John Bonzo Bonham the original drummer of Led Zeppelin. I saw Jason Bonham play live couple years ago and he plays just like his dad! I know Jasons dad is looking down and smiling!
You should watch the whole Kennedy Honors show. Other artist did some of their other songs and those performances were really good too. You need to see what Jack Black the introductory commentator for Led Zeppelin said it’s funny as shit! Also when you’re watching Led Zeppelin videos or in the case of my generations music and I’m talking about the live performances you need to really watch the videos because there’s a lot of stuff on there that these guys we’re pioneers of and if you’re not paying attention you miss all the crazy stuff that they were famous for. You can always go back and re-listen with your eyes closed at a later time. Pass the word to others who are doing reactions because you guys miss out on a lot.

Ann and Nancy Wilson have always been gigantic Zep fans. They took the galloping bass line from Zep's song Achilles Last Stand and used it for their song Barracuda. Heart often sang Zep songs because Ann's voice could reach the same notes as Robert's. As someone else mentioned, the drummer is Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son. When the surviving members heard they were going to be honored, they invited Jason to be in the box with them as their guest and to represent John, however he refused - because he was going to be performing on stage for this song and wanted to keep it a secret from them. They were totally surprised to see him there. Before Covid, I saw Heart in concert and they performed Zep's song Battle Of Evermore. Achilles and Battle are two of the many Zep songs in store for you.

Dude, I Really appreciate what you are doing. I'm seeing this vid for the first time and I'm loving how you're loving Zep, and AC/DC! I'll throw this in here, too. The original drummer for Zep is John Bonham. The drummer in this video is his son, Jason. Keep on Rockin'!
Knew you'd love it. This performance was in 2012. It's an annual event, each year honoring a variety of individuals and groups. This years list of honoree's was just release and includes Bette Midler and Joni Mitchell among others. Bette Midler and Joni Mitchell are two women you should definitely feature on your Women Wednesday. For Bette I would suggest her song "Wind Beneath My Wings" and for Joni (who by the way is considered a Master singer songwriter), I would suggest her song "A Case of You".
Love your reaction!! This is my favorite performance ever…now look up my second favorite performance… Chris Stapleton & Justin Timberlake- Tennessee Whiskey/ Drink you away live at the CMA’s. Guaranteed to blow you away!
The drummer is the son of the original drummer John Bonham whose death broke up Led Zeppelin. He wore a bowler hat ,that is why his son and the chorus is wearing same
I loved it at the end when Jason Bonham - John Bonham's son - stood up and fisted his chest to Robert to say he loved him. And Robert fisted him back. John Bonham and Robert Plant were best friends since they were 15 years old. When John died it really scarred Robert and this is why he kept refusing to do a reunion tour. Too painful. And even with Jason on drums it would not be same without his dad. And Robert told Jason this. But, Robert, along with the rest of the group, watched out for Jason growing up. And as such, Jason is just part of the band members. As for Ann and Nancy Heart's performance - what do you expect? The sisters are a powerful duo and they are amazing. If anyone was chosen to do this cover and in front of the surviving members of Zeppelin, they are the ones. They were powerful and respectful of the song and the group. It was a nerve wracking monumental task to get up there and pull it off.
I know you have heard several Clerance Clearwater Revival songs, but I'd like to suggest you chackout another one. Can't get enough CCR! lol "Clearance Clearwater Revival - I Put A Spell On You" Oh, and by the way.... Heart Killed that performance! Awesome Performance She nailed It!
Nice going, DubØ- I draw your attention to Tina Gilbert's comment... the lady writes the truth, and writes it well. You should see btw the whole Tribute to Zep, features Jack Black, Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Kid Rock... President Obama and Michelle presiding... a lot of fun, Enjoy, and be safe.
Try carlos santana kennedy center honors tribute from 2013. And.. luciano pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma from the opera turandot at the 3 tenors concert. Not sure what year. He is the goat of opera.
Dub, this popped back in my feed. I "liked" it prior don't see my comment. 🤔 Hard to believe Ann was 62y old when she belted this one out isn't it? She is still going. Just watched her vid Black Wing last week. Little bit of a ❤❤ fan!! 😁 I watched this when it aired back in 2012, 1 for Heart, 2 for LZ, pretty cool, with Jack Black, Lenny Kravitz, Kid Rock and Foo Fighters, Heart closed it. Which was meant to be. Heart will choose a LZ song to close their show, seen it, fan remember? John Bonham on drums in his dad's boller, on his drums. LZ didn't know about him performing, it through off Plant, he was extremely close to Bonzo, very emotional for him especially the choir and the hats, a nod to John Bonham, the legend, and Robert was missing him. Jimmy was very happy with Shayne Fontayne's axe grinding and JPJ was taking it all in being the producer he is... Imagine sitting and watching a song you wrote and have it presented back to you in such a way, every layer be revealed... BRAVA!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I've seen this video too many times!! 😳 You are the single one who didn't physically clap. I know you were happy with it, you clearly recognized the bands, audience reaction...maybe you were awed. 😁 P.s. Those in the audience, Bonnie Raitt, Stephen Colbert, Bob Riley, YoYo Ma (celloist), Debbie Allen all rocking out and feeling it...WOW!! Find Dan Rather's interview with Heart, you will find out about this vid and LZ's own reaction...fan remember?? 😂🤣
This was in 2012 I believe and only Those two extraordinary women could've pulled that off. Jason Bonham is a beast like his old man. I know you have already done Kashmir from 1979, but if you get the chance watch Kashmir from Celebration Day. In 2007 for one night only the surviving members with Jason Bonham stepping into his father roll playing drums it was magical. When they released info that Led Zeppelin was playing for this benefit with in a couple hours it broke couple of world records for the most request ticket in history, over 20 million. They had to do a lottery because the area only held 20 thousand.
@@dubzer0649 Plant said so himself that he had grown to hate this song because of all of the awful covers of it, but this cover, by fellow legends Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, made him love their cover. According to Ann they all went backstage and lauded them over their performance of the song. This was during the winter, it was cold AF inside the building, and Nancy had mechanisms to warm her hands right up until she went on stage to do this meaning she didnt attend the one rehearsal they had and still killed it. when I say these women are LEGENDS, THESE WOMEN ARE ROCK AND ROLL LEGENDS

Really enjoyed it, thanks for watching
Is it goin on with Covid? Well the Biden lovers will watch Bette.
Perfection

Glad you Enjoyed That!! But we could Barely hear the Music 🎶!! But this was The 2012 Kennedy Center Honors!!

The drummer is the son of the original drummer John Bonham whose death broke up Led Zeppelin. He wore a bowler hat ,that is why his son and the chorus is wearing same
Just found you're channel, man. Enjoying all the videos. Come back and do more. It's good to see genuine reactions. Thanks.
22 minutes in when you giggle at Robert Plant, I laugh my ass off. Hilarious.
This was in 2012. Ann was 62, Nancy 60ish.
The drummer is John Bonham’s son, Jason.
⬆️ volume 🙏
Jason Bonham and the choir are wearing boiler hats cause that is what his dad always wore.
Ah ok thanks for that information I was wondering about the hats
Please check out
Dyer Maker.
By Zeppelin
Ok will do
Love me some zeppelin
Ann and Nancy worshipped Led Zeppelin growing up. They cut their teeth on those guys. They are the ONLY band I could go hear play Zeppelin.
Santana is my second favorite tribute besides heart singing this.
😁👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed this
I wish you had the singers volume up higher on your video,
Do yourself a favor and see the Jack Black introduction of Led Zep that night. It is hilarious!
I know you have heard several Clerance Clearwater Revival songs, but I'd like to suggest you chackout another one. Can't get enough CCR! lol "Clearance Clearwater Revival - I Put A Spell On You"
Oh, and by the way.... Heart Killed that performance! Awesome Performance She nailed It!
Ok I will
Def stay tuned
And thanks for watching this one ☝️
The drummer is the late John Bonham’s son, Jason Bonham.
Yes Tina is amazing right?
I love her
Thanks for watching this
Try carlos santana kennedy center honors tribute from 2013.
And.. luciano pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma from the opera turandot at the 3 tenors concert. Not sure what year. He is the goat of opera.
Jason on the drums is John Bonhams son
Bonnie Raitt...jazz hands...🙌
she was having a come to jesus moment as was debbie allen
Dub, this popped back in my feed. I "liked" it prior don't see my comment. 🤔
Hard to believe Ann was 62y old when she belted this one out isn't it? She is still going. Just watched her vid Black Wing last week.
Little bit of a ❤❤ fan!! 😁
I watched this when it aired back in 2012, 1 for Heart, 2 for LZ, pretty cool, with Jack Black, Lenny Kravitz, Kid Rock and Foo Fighters, Heart closed it.
BRAVA!!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I've seen this video too many times!! 😳 You are the single one who didn't physically clap. I know you were happy with it, you clearly recognized the bands, audience reaction...maybe you were awed. 😁
Stopping mid song is like stopping mid sex 😊
This was in 2012 I believe and only Those two extraordinary women could've pulled that off. Jason Bonham is a beast like his old man. I know you have already done Kashmir from 1979, but if you get the chance watch Kashmir from Celebration Day. In 2007 for one night only the surviving members with Jason Bonham stepping into his father roll playing drums it was magical. When they released info that Led Zeppelin was playing for this benefit with in a couple hours it broke couple of world records for the most request ticket in history, over 20 million. They had to do a lottery because the area only held 20 thousand.
Man this was just amazing, I enjoyed every min of it truly
Tribute to Led Zep. With the President of the United States shows the level of that band. Also how cool Obama was!
This was def legendary hands down
Def one of my favorites now
Drummer was John bonhams son. And they all wear on the derby for John bonham
The drummer is John Bonhams son...
Yes I didn’t know that until someone in comments told me
That is awesome
It's not a cover... it's a tribute.... that's John Bonhams son Jason on the drums
This is so so so good! I miss Barrack!
Yes super good
Really enjoyed
Robert Plant hated every other remake of this song...except this one
Wow now that says a lot
FIX THE SOUND!!! The volume of the concert is too low!
Hold on 7:48
Audio is to low
Most of the comments are from women.
😍😭😍
So glad you enjoyed
Thanks for watching
