- Happy Tuesday! Sorry, due to technical difficulties this video did NOT go up yesterday as planned. However, let's chat about my 3+ month update on my experience using red light LED therapy. Today I will mainly focus on the newest red light device that I have been using for the last month and half, the Mito Pro panel LED device. This particular device is much more versatile than the hand held devices and if you have not yet invested in a hand held, I would actually direct you to look into a panel style device as they are so much easier to use for a variety of purposes.

Your skin is lovely and glowy. Good to see the reviews over time on these types of products. I’ve always figured that treatments that are scientifically proven to work are like a visit to the dermatologist - much better than the same money on expensive creams. Not knocking over the counter skincare products but actual treatments give more bang for the buck and the OTC skin care products are icing on the cake.
I just ordered the Mito pro yesterday after watching your previous video. Ive been watching you for a while and I definitely notice a difference in your complexion. You have a glow to you that is very noticeable. You face also seems more plump and youthful. I can’t wait to receive my Mito!

I had no idea this could help pain as well! I have fibromyalgia and arthritis so this is really getting my attention.
I used it before settling down last night for shoulder pain that was pretty bad and it was gone! Only 10 min! I used it for beauty on my face and then on my should back a bit later today!
I had an on and off pain in my right foot. I tried using my hand held red light therapy wand for 5 minutes. The pain was gone

So I took the plunge. I bought 2. One for my son who has issues due to over use of muscles with sports and one for me and my husband. I know this is an older video but I just started following you and am researching the Red Light Therapy. I am 71 according to the calendar but still live like I’m 31 and would like the outside to reflect how I feel on the inside. I’ve been able to do that pretty successfully through diet and exercise but that seems to work best for my physique as opposed to aging skin:/. So this year I decided to dive into skin care! My skin is still oily prone at 71 and of course I am dealing with some lines and wrinkles that come with age. Your skin and makeup are beautiful! Would you mind sharing some of your skincare routine and what makeup you have found that works best for mature oily prone skin? I have always worn Bare Minerals just because it’s the only foundation that I’ve found that doesn’t seem to make my skin look and feel oilier but would love to change some things up😉. The eye doctor recommend me to practice sunning (in front of the sun with the eyes closed and cover and uncover one aye at a time. ) but I was worried about my hyperpigmentation to get worse.

What is the link to the green yea you use? Do you put it on before or after using the light?
I prefer a rechargeable mini panel. The company that contacted you also have them. Ver little EMF and no flicker. No need to use goggles. I do one side, then the other, then the front. Similar to if you move around in front of yoir light. I do it while doing a specific set of exercises. Very close. I don't do it long at all. The treatments take a shorter time because you would likely hold it very close, but you lose out on larger areas at once. For face and head, definitely the mini for me.
Anti-aging and hair growth...what I spend my life on. I just laughed when you said sleeping like a rock. Most say sleeping like a baby, but moms know babies don't sleep lol.

I use either the Maysama and Isntree Green tea fresh serum. Both are great!
Looking at your gorgeous skin, I am definitely tempted to buy one myself. Have you noticed or experienced any skin darkening while using it? It's the only thing that worries me. I don't want to get darker, I like my skin colour, but I tan very easily.
So red light will not “tan” your skin. There is no UV at all so no worries there. But if you have melasma be careful. It can be aggravated by NIR, red light is totally ok. It can trigger melasma in some. My melasma does not react to NIR but it does to UV.

Hi, just found you and so glad I did! I was going to buy the Omnilux face mask as Angie from Hot and Flashy recommends, but now I want this! I'm just worried that for the face, does it need to be on your face like a mask or will this work just as well? I'm so confused and it is hard to find that answer on the internet. So this would actually be much more powerful than the masks (I have one of those too that I have used). These bulbs are significantly larger and powerful. You sit about 6-8 inches away (with it pointed directly at your face). I do 15 minutes. I used to use it daily at first but now I do about 3-4 days a week for maintenance.

I am looking into doing a more full body treatment. The benefits go beyond beauty and include helping the body heal from injuries, it can help with eczema and psoriasis (I have eczema), it can help lessen scars, some think it can help reduce body fat (not cure obesity or anything but can help with stubborn areas and more. Do a little bit of research and see what you think. I'm always open to non invasive ways to be healthier :)

now do you use any lotions on your skin when using or just your plain clean skin and nothing else? thats been a burning question.
I used to use only Green Tea serum but lately have been using any serum as long as it's clear and it has fully absorbed before treatment. I'm not sure that is helps anything to do that but it has not hurt anything. Saves me some time because I don't have to do a round of skincare after treatment. I can just go on with my day.

There are three settings on it, but nobody seems to explain what each one is for. Can you run through that? I don’t want to waste the rest of my Sunday trying to figure it out. Even my sister who has one has no idea. Thank you in advance, and thank you for making this video!
There is a red light only, NIR and Red Light and NIR combined. You just hit the mode button to get through the three settings. You will not be able to see the NIR but it is on when you click to that cycle or when its combined with red light.

@@jenniferreischacousticarti2246 I use red light with NIR, so A1. Those give me the best anti aging benefits. Do you have your manual? Everything is spelled out in there.
@@MrKongsMom it’s actually not in the manual that I got. Super weird. Doesn’t have the same pulley system either. I got the 300 and my sister got the same one with different items so maybe they forgot my instructions. It literally does not go over the three settings, but just tells that it has three settings.

What kind of goggles should we use, i have a led light for large areas of my body but no glasses, can I use sun glasses?
There are goggles that come with actually. You would want to use similar ones to those you use in a tanning bed.
So I heard that it’s better to use the the red light only instead of the infer red for so you don’t hyperpigmentation . Do you know ?
There are people who are more prone to hyperpigmentation from NIR so for those people the red light would be the very best option to avoid creating any issues down the line. I am not prone to that so for me the NIR is great in combination with the Red Light.
This concept is new to me, can this be used to regrow hair like the hair helmets etc. If so how would it be used?
You would need to double check the wavelength of light required for hair growth (I have not looked into this myself) and compare to the wavelengths of their different models. It would be very easy to sit in front of this (with your back for the back of the head) and simply point your head down to get the top treated. I'd 100% go this route as this would give you more flexibility.
I start using red Platinum and Aduro light with Nir infrared and my sun spots got worst and irritated in only a few use, the I turn off the nir infrared and only use red light and green light for pigmentation but the same thing is happening, my sun/age spots are very bad now. I have very light skin, so not tan that much, and I spent many many years baking under the sun and not I have sun spots everywhere.
NIR can cause hyperpigmentation to appear in some. You should be able to turn NIR off and just use red light and be ok... usually. Sounds like you may want to take a break from red light though and focus on dealing with the spots for the time being. So sorry to hear that happened to you.

I have not tried the Hooga myself. I am actually planning on purchasing the next size of up of the Mitro Pro for myself this Christmas. Love the quality of this particular device. I'd love a full body treatment. The blue light I have is way too expensive. This one from LightStim is great: go.magik.ly/ml/17wnl/ It has the wavelengths you need for blue light to be effective.

Very good video. I bought a Mito mini about a month ago but really haven't used it consistently. My question is, is it possible that this would cause facial fat loss? They do use these lights for fat loss on the body, right? So I was thinking it could do the same for fat on the face, which obviously would be bad. Could you maybe reach out to the company? Thanks!
Ok, so I just double checked with my friend Penny from over at PennSmithSkincare here on UA-cam (she is insanely knowledgable by the way! Check her out!) and she said that it really should not cause fat loss in the face. BUT, it could cause dehydration which could look like "fat loss". I'm not sure what the research actually is on red light therapy and fat loss but I would encourage you to look into a little more if it is a concern for you. Personally, I have noticed NO fat loss in my face. I have lost weight... which has cause my face to thin out a bit, but that is from diet and exercise and VERY normal for me as I have experienced this at a few points in my life.

I actually also reached out to the Mito company and they said that they weren't convinced of the fat loss studies as they were combined with diet and exercise but that if it was a concern for me to turn off the NIR lights and just use the red lights because they mainly work on the skin and don't go as deep. So I think for me personally I will be returning my light panel as I would just rather not take any risk with the fat on my face due to already losing some inadvertently with a RF machine..but thanks again!
@@avam8354 I have been using red light regularly for 2 years, I was also concerned about fat loss on my face, but I would say it has if anything made my face more plump. I switch between just using the red and using both. I feel that my skin is improved.
