While you have the kick panel out and your doing under dash wiring, it would be a good time to do the "Grey Wire Mod." If you are unfamiliar there are plenty of UA-cam videos on it, but you ground the signal wire which tells the computer that the truck is in 4-Low, and allows you to engage the rear locker. Doing this allows you to engage the rear locker whenever you want, 2WD, 4-High, and 4-Low. This just gives you some more options. I have found sometimes I can run a whole trail without ever using 4WD because I can engage the rear locker and get that extra push. Timmy, this is an awesome install video. I don't think I have ever seen anyone so step by step, and review what they did. This is a true DIY tutorial for any experience level. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the suggestion to do the Gray Wire mod. I do know about it. Since I don't regularly use 4wd, any time I'm on a trail, I engage it to exercise the system. I only use the rear locker to get through an obstacle, and then I disengage it. I recently used both the rear and front locker, and what a difference. I'm happy I added the front Eaton E-locker. Thanks for the compliment of our work. We appreciate it!

Yeah, it’s grounded properly. I also just noticed the three inches or so of wire that was coming out of the diff housing got sucked in. There’s maybe half an inch left between the housing and connector
@@brandonvittur2260 I think you need to have a discussion with them. It really seems like the ring gear was able to hook the wire since you said the wires were pulled into the case.

You can call ECGS and get a quote. Eaton E-lockers are super reliable. The naysayers for Eaton are usually fan boys for ARB. ARB have their fair share of issues.
Because I didn't know it was upside down. Somebody else mentioned that. It wasn't clear to me which way was up and which way was down for that switch. Either way, the switch works.
You should put the ground to the safety computer wire for the rear locker in the Drivers foot kick panel so it won’t lock unless it’s below 5mph and in 4wd low range just like the rear Factory E Locker.

Would this same harness work on the OEM locker from Toyota ?
No, it wouldn't. There is a company that makes a pre-built harness for the OEM rear e-locker but I can't remember the name.
