Thank you for all the video gifts throughout the year!
Merry Christmas
@@brettriggins81 You're very welcome!
Thank for the great narration😅 of a true step by step hands on professional video. It gives me the confidence to do it. And there are a lot of do it’s for my 2000 2.7L Tacoma with 250,000.
@georgecranston4351 You're very welcome. Thanks for the nice compliment. We appreciate it!
I just purchased a 2003 100 series and i’ll be doing this when the weather gets better. Spark plugs, valve cover gaskets too.
Merry Christmas!
Good luck with the new rig and the work you have planned for it. Merry Christmas!
Merry Happy Christmas to you and the Team. Thank you for all the videos specially with the 100 series. 🎄
Merry Christmas! We will have a lot more 100 Series content coming. My buddy Vincent has a long list of things he wants to do.
@@TimmyTheToolman Next video coming up would be the heater tees lol
@@deusdeceptor I reckon that will be our next video.

Yes, 2025 will be filled with a lot more Sic Mods! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Eliot! Back at ya!
Merry Christmas Timmy. From what the Koken Gus have told me the nut grip sockets are not for vey high torque applications
That's interesting about the Koken sockets. I haven't heard that but it's good to know.
Ive used Koken Nut Grip 3/8" Sockets for normal wrenching with no problem including removing caliper bolts and some suspension parts with no problem for the past 2 years. I use 1/2" Snap on sockets on really high torque suspension like torsion bar brackets. Im sure if u use 3/8" sockets when u should be using 1/2" for high torque applications or use it on a high torque impact gun, it can cause a failure.
Hey Timmy is it ok to use 2x8 across the engine oil pan and jack up th engine from there as opposed to the bell housing. Could that possible damage the engine oil pan. The Toyota FSM show s it that way
I have jacked up under the oil pan on other models and it does work. You just have to disperse the load with a piece or wood like the FSM instructs so you don't dent the oil pan. Don't put the wood in such a way that it contacts the drain plug because that will end up concentrating a lot of the load on the plug and you'll probably dent it.
Hiya Timmy! ... do You or any of your channel peeps have the deets on a quality MT transmission mount for the R150F Gen1 Taco... i cannot source at the yota dealer and not having much success to an overseas supplier of a genuine OEM part... we are chasing down some odd obnoxious shifter stick vibe in 5th gear at 50 to 65 mph range. started soon after getting the rebuilt R150F from Nick at the Yota1 shop... thank U and happy Christmas to all of you out there on the interWebs

Do you know how to fix vapor lock?
@@damiansmith391 vapor lock in your fuel line? Either something is clogged, or the fuel pump is failing: higher flow fuel pump could be 1 solution. Is it hot where you live?
- Sean
@ socal. It happened twice already. Climbing up elevation, then ill start smelling gas outside (nothing inside), then when i shut off the engine it wont start, i have to cool it down then she’ll start right up. Truck runs great, no engline light or whatsover.
@@damiansmith391 clogged fuel line possibly. Could be your fuel pump going out as well. Fuel tank has gas and fuel gauge works?
@ yes. I also replace fuel cap oem. Should i replace fuel pump and filter? I even covered the fuel lines with heat sheild underneath to not let the fuel get too hot.
@ it almost seams like something is clogged or not enough fuel is getting to your engine.
Do you know if it's the same process on the GX470?
It would be similar. These Toyota and Lexus SUVs are very alike.
The amount of engine movement seemed very minimal. Is the replacement mounts still needed? Was this done as a maintenance ?
@kuhyuan6954 I guess you missed the part near the beginning of the video that I said Vincent's mounts weren't broken. Vincent replaced them as general maintenance due to their age. So yes, the movement was minimal because the mounts were still good.
@@TimmyTheToolman
Yes, I must’ve missed that part.. had to watch it with the sound on low
Would changing the transmission mount help with vibration while idling in drive or reverse? Vibration doesn’t happen in neutral or park.
@@kuhyuan6954 It would only help if the cause of the vibration is from a broken mount. In drive or reverse, there is a load on the engine and thus resistance. The vibration could be coming from a rough idling engine that is in need of a tune-up. Something like the exhaust could be rattling. You'll need to investigate further.
