Very nice this tamiya. It's a really good place to test the rc this bmx track. Excellent bashing and jumps 👌

Mick, Awesome run mate!!!
Thanks mate! 🙂👍
Cool RC and awesome run brother
Thanks Duke. Glad you enjoyed it mate! 👍
This is a great looking buggy. Got one stashed after finding a great deal on it.
They are mate. Awesome, gotta love great deals! 👍
Hi Mick !!! Absolutely love the the running videos as it shows how the buggies handle and what they can do and more importantly just how twisted you are !! 🤣 We love that about you!!! Thanks my man!!
G'day! Thanks mate, glad you're enjoying the running videos. Loads more to come as I have quite a backlog of cars I haven't run. Haha, thanks mate, you just won comment of the month! 😁👍
Not so a fan of this bodyset, but I do like the Thundershot a whole lot so I bought one of these and converted it over. Im glad to see you have fun out in the dirt with yours. Thank you for taking the time and sharing yours with us
I'm still not sure about the body. I think it looks good on some angles but I can't remember which ones 😂. The Thundershot is a classic, think I might grab the 2022 release 😁. Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed the video! 👍
@@RCHobbyShed racing my Optima back in the 80's I was up against the Thunder Shot regularly. I like it more now than I use to
It must be thunder dragon week! I just treated myself to a dragon for my 50th as I had one back in 88 and its getting well used for sure. Excellent footage at the track and those puddles probably helped keep the motor temps down👍
Happy 50th mate! The Thunder Dragon was the perfect choice for your birthday. I'm sure it brought back a lot of memories from '88. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Haha yeah I'm sure the water helped a little, it had a few good drinks.😂 👍
Great buggy. Even better shirt.🤘🏻
Thanks mate! 😁🤘

The best things come to those who never give up....
Well done my friend. I am so proud of you.... 😉👍👏
Mic great thumbnail, build and run. Looks really cherry. Love the man’s dark blue helmet.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂👍
I love these cars! It looked and ran great out there! My favorite part was @2:38 when you landed into a wheel roll down the backside!
They're great buggies. Yeah it did run great, great fun! Haha that did look kind of cool, I almost made that part slo-mo. 👍
G'day Mick, your TD looks amazing and seems to drive as good as it looks! You said it wasn't that fast, but it sure was fast enough for a bit of fun out there, with some nice air over the jumps and cool drifting on that surface. Great video, mate. All the best as always! :O)
G'day Mark! Thanks mate, yeah I think it runs nicely. Oh yeah it was definitely quick enough for fun. Thanks mate! 👍
I Loved watching this getting around and i think for what it is no wing and uni shock up front, its just a little different and still does real well for it self there Mick and quick enough too, without busting anything is always great bonus, thanks again for another sweet running video Cheers Bud.
Glad you enjoyed it mate! I think it did quite well out there. Was fun without being nuts, and yeah the bonus of taking it home in one piece lol. Thanks Andrew! 👍
That's a great buggy Mick, I had a feeling it would handle and jump well as it did👍.
Mrs has one to build one day so I'm sure after seeing your video she'll be getting started😁.
Thanks for continually pumping your video's out mate, they're great and we're always on the lookout for new ones👍🍻🦘🇦🇺
Thanks mate, yeah I think it ran very well.
Haha good stuff, I'm sure she'll have fun building it!
Glad you enjoy the videos mate. I may have to slow down though as I'm starting a new job on Monday, but there will still be videos. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed
We've been pretty spoilt with all your video's so I can't complain if they slow down a bit, thanks for everything mate and looking forward to seeing more in future.
Yes she enjoys building when she has time so it's great.
Congratulations on your new job Mick!🍻.
I always knew you'd be our Prime Minister one day😁
@@outbackrcaustralia4895 I'm not sure how many videos I'll be putting out in the future, depends how tired I am when I get home I guess 😂.
That's great, she love this build!
Haha, no more taxes and 1000% pay rises across the board! 😂👍

Thumbs up. The car is good, the run is fun and the Megadeth shirt and soundtrack nail it. 👍🤘
Thanks Eric! 👍🤘
Great video Mick. These cars look space age. I didn’t like em as a kid but they appeal to me now that I’m in my 40’s lol.
Thad✌️
Thanks Thad! Haha yeah, I never used to like them either but I think they don't look so bad now. 🙂👍
Nice video, enjoyed watching it. You can see how it loses a little punch after the 2s lipo runs below 8V. Have the same when I run mine, the first 5 minutes after a full charge are the best 😂
Thanks Richard, good to know you enjoyed it. Oh yeah, nothin like a fresh charge for maximum fun! 😁👍
It's a Beauty!! Cool looking and drives very nice!!
Thanks Steve! 👍
Wow 👍😍👍 It's strong
Nice running video. This one handles really well.
Thanks Nick! 🙂👍
Hi Mick, a great running of the thunder dragon. Alright not warp speed as a brushless set up, but still, looked fun. Take care and best wishes 😁😊😉
G'day John! Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah it was still plenty of fun. Cheers mate! 🙂👍
Hey Mick that was some great puddle dodging and must say l forgot how well these go! Great stuff mate😉👍
G'day James. Haha had to hit a few of them, was like a bunch of lakes out there. They do go great, lots of no fuss fun! Thanks mate. 🙂👍
@@RCHobbyShed lol yeah you could of taken an rc boat with you too!😆👍
@@mad-beerc3818 😂🤣👍
I hated the low ground clearance of this kit so I just mounted some small crawler tires on this and widened it as well. I am gonna test it out on grass
I ran this one on grass after this run to clean mud off the underneath. It ran fine on the grass but tips over easy when turning. Yours being wider now should be great on grass. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed it was not tipping over so much. much more stable when turning. i finally got a good use out of the 108 mm diameter tires. it is now wide as the dt03t now
Cool Mick 👍 Do you film and drive as well ?
Thanks Mike. Yeah I do, I'm a one man band! 👍
Hey 👋 what type of camera do you use for your videos when you film your cars racing 😅
G'day! I use a GoPro Hero 9 Black, usually with the head mount or mounted to the transmitter for close ups. 👍
Remember me this rc the gig nikko 80s / 90s
Just goes to prove as much as we like to overpower them , you can have a lot fun and not tear them up building them as there meant to be . Ok , so when are we going to put the brushless motor in it 😂
That's right, Eric. I think the power level was quite good for this buggy, and it was good to be able to take it home looking much the same as it started. 😂
Haha brushless might happen, we'll see! 😁👍
Beautiful. Much as I loved my Terra Scorcher, over time, I think this looks better even if it might not perform quite as well. Is there any noticeable difference between it and the TS, with the mono-shock and no anti-roll/sway bars?
No great difference between them. I've run every variant of this chassis and find they all perform exactly the same, for me anyway. The mono shock, lack of sway bar and non-adjustable upper arms is really the only differences. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed that's really telling isn't it? When it boils down to it, the differences are non-existent, so why spend more? Interesting!
@@amc_sounds Maybe on a race track the difference may be seen in lap times. But for the average RC driver, I doubt they'd notice much if any difference in performance.
This was my first R/C car, circa 1993. Great memories. Terrible product. I shoulda gone for an RC-10 or Kyosho Lazer from the beginning.
Get out the way people there’s a Dragon loose! 😆
😂👍
The original thunder dragon 2wd qd had 2 foward gears, how many on this one please
The 1/10 version (original and rerelease) is only single speed. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed ok thank you
im in the middle of building all the rere dragons disabled and home an issue at the moment so cant build ,can i send to you and pay to build for me ?
or geelong person
G'day Lee! The Dragon family are great buggies. I'm sorry to say I won't have time for extra builds, maybe not even my own as I'm starting a new job on Monday. Of course that could all change by next Friday, I might be a free agent again. 😬
