I didn’t realize that you did a review about this kit. I always ask you about this in the live. I’m sorry I didn’t do my due diligence.

Is your made by Ciener or Kimber? I learned that older Kimber kits were actually supplied by Ciener, but later Kimber started building their own. Neither will lock back the slide after the last round, though.
1:30 I got my Umarex/Walther/Colt 1911-22 Gold Cup in January of 2022 (Umarex makes the 22 replicas, but since they own Walther, they can put Walther's name on it), for $375 plus tax. It was the only one selling at that price, I believe one other dealer was a few bucks cheaper. Like the GSG, it's also a fixed barrel, blow back design, same as most 22's. The one thing GSG did right was the magazine: Colt's magazine is proprietary, similar to Umarex's first creation, the Walther P22's; whereas GSG 1911-22's mags are identical to 1911's mag dimensions. So if you want to train using the 22LR, you can use your regular 1911's holsters, but with the Colt, the mag carriers won't work :)

Another cool option is to 3dp your own 1911 frame and build it up as a 22lr specific lower. You can have your kimber (or not), and have a seperate pistol.
You can actually build a few things with 22lr conversions. All depends on how mechanically inclined you are.

You can use a 1911 bb gun frame the slide goes right on

@Jack Sin it works you can find videos of it on UA-cam just lookup 1911 bb gun 22lr conversion.

@Jack Sin the way the hammer works is basically the same so it works with the new slide and barrel and firing pin and all that and a 22lr 1911 magazine and it works great

You should be able to. I know it fits on the G version. You might have some of the slide past the dust cover, but it still works.

Fun fact, you can demonstrate the workings of a firearm, and disassemble/reassemble it without flagging yourself. It's possible, give it a try!

More fun fact. I check the firearm before manipulating it. If you are so scared of your gun that you fear it being able to load itself, i suggest you get a body pillow and hide in your closet. Give it a try

@@TheJimminiShow Hey I liked the video, very thorough. Just wanted to point out that you are setting an example for thousands of people here. You might want to read your own response and take things a bit more seriously, as your response just further demonstrates your lack of seriousness toward this issue. My comment was not revolving around any fear of guns on my part, it was about you. I don't fear a gun jumping up and loading itself because I don't point my own guns at myself (or anything/anyone else I don't intend to shoot).
I suggest you start by taking (or retake) a basic firearms safety course. NRA's first rule of firearm safety is to "ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction". As long as the slide is installed on the frame, it's a gun. You can point a slide, or a frame at yourself all day long, but once they are assembled together into a working firearm you are demonstrating your lack of basic firearm safety in front of thousands of people, as well as just a plain bad habit.
Of the ~50,000 unintentional firearm related injuries a year in the US, the majority with adults occur with either a lack of proper training, no realization that the firearm is loaded, or while cleaning the firearm. I would further suggest that most of these negligent discharges occurred with the adult handling the gun, "knowing" it was unloaded. All I'm saying is that there is an opportunity here for you to do better and to set a proper and professional example in firearm handling to your audience.
