I'm thinking the dye my next step. Disappearing collant, passing all tests Block test, pressure test, leak down test. I'm praying, no head gasket leak, but thinking with this dye, even an ever so minor a leak, pull spark plugs, shine the black light into the valves and if a leak will light up spark plug or in the valve, like a Christmas tree, if only a drop. If coolant burning off, anywhere on the vehicle, hopefully will leave some residue that will light up with the black light, as well. I just don't know if it could cause damage to cooling system or engine parts. Why don't dealerships suggest the dye as a diagnostic option. Too easy or liability risk?
I wonder if you can us the UV dye for "coolant systems" in engines to detect oil leaks. I suppose it's the same thing but that it is just marketed/labeled differently. I bought an entire box of this bottles for dirt cheap and just wondering if it's one and the same. Does anyone know?
UV dye works best under specific UV band width light . Look into UV BEAST Brand . Moderate priced high performance . Air conditioning industry use this brand alot . CAUTION some high priced uv lights are way way overpriced poor performing units .
Answered my question, lets hope I find my leak soon!
You can rent a pressure kit from Advanced auto and maybe other auto stores too
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for your help much appreciated
Can I use my MCR103A as a cooling system pressure tester?
I added the UV dye yesterday and have yet to find any leak even though I think I can smell a leak.
Well if you have one that stuff will find it for sure!
It Will work White Dexcool GM preston....?? Merci
this will not harm antifreeze in system cooling ?
No.

Easy to figure out if it's your head, check your oil dipstick. Clean oil = not your head, muddy sloppy oil = head.

They already make the same product for oil leaks. It’s made by the same brand. You can find it at autozone
I think they have different uv dye for each kind of fluid. One for coolant, one for oil, one for ac systems, one for power steering.
Can you put the dye int he overflow tank? There is no room for it in the radiator its like about to overflow, so I put it in the overflow tank.
Pull some of the coolant out of the radiator with a syringe or something. You really want that dye to be in the system that’s under pressure.
@@FlyingWrenches13 Yeah, but im trying to save from having to buy another thing of dye lol. Guess illjust have to buy one.
You can buy a cheap turkey baster and suck some of that coolant out and put your dye in
@@adrianpate4694 Preciate the tip thanks.
Then you probably don't have a leak if it's full right?
I love auto mechanics
Ultra violet light
Almost as good as WORLD MECHANICS
