This helps a lot. Thank you. One little O-ring can cause the leak. Sadly, most O-rings will require you to evac the system :(. A 25 cent part costs about $50 in refrigerant. And that is only if you have the tools. Evac systems cost $300+, Vacuum pump with manifold gauge costs $130+, Tank for evac is about $80, and lets not forget your labor cost lol. Doing it for the first time is costly, after that, it is a lot cheaper.
You're welcome! I mean, I wouldn't personally bother with the Evac systems/tank, just pay a garage to do that for you (Assuming casual DIY job) The manifold gauges and pump are a good investment, $100 for both.
Thank you so much for a very comprehensive and easy to follow video tutorial. I have some mechanical background but not familiar with hvac. Your video answered every question I had. Thank You Mate!!!
@2:45 Thank you very much for the information about Refrigerant Leak Detector. They sell it in Harbor Freight for 69.99 (PITTSBURGH AUTOMOTIVE Electronic Refrigerant Leak Detector). Many positive comments about that device. I've never heard of such, thank you.
From what i saw, there was the air in the blue that was fed back to compressor. It wasnt purged during this video instructions. No wait. The blue hose was in vacuum. Right right right
Hey thanks for video can i ask where do i get that fittings on your manifold gauges where you connect the red and blue cpuplers on i want those what is it called and where do i get them
I just wanted to know how to add dye and make decisions on dye results, I.e., tighten parts, replace hoses, get a new compressor, etc. Far too wordy explaining ancillary junk.

Thank you sir. You are the only one who can explain thoroughly, and not afraid to😊. So many are so secretive.
So nice of you! I'm glad it was useful! :)

You're welcome! Glad it as useful!
Great video, I'm new to this so the detail you go Into is appreciated
Great step by step video, thank you
Thank you I was about to do a leak test with dye .you said there might be dye in already and you was right
Great video. Thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! :)
14:46 Recharge Low Side With Gas (not liquid)
Long-winded video with good information.
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice video
Very helpful video 👍👍
I'm glad it was useful! :)
The dye - can it clog anything, like the expansion valve ?
The yellow glasses - does it protect the eyes from UV ?
I already talked about the glasses in the video.
No, the dye doesn't clog anything.
Great video
Thanks
Could ya purge it first; Then add the dye ?
What are you are purging? air? contaminants?
You can add it when you charge the system if you vacuumed it.
If you have an evaporator leak can you check condensate water under drain pipe under car while running car with ac on to see dye in this.
If that's where the leak is
Did you pump down your gauges???
do you purge the blue line ?
Everything gets purged! :)
From what i saw, there was the air in the blue that was fed back to compressor. It wasnt purged during this video instructions. No wait. The blue hose was in vacuum. Right right right

Everything comes as one unit! You can see here: ua-cam.com/video/rN4FmSdzgxw/v-deo.html
Will that same dye be compatible with older R22. I have a home AC I like to check.
Yes it does. See here: amzn.to/3XJRjfA
is this the same s the dye used to find oil leaks ?
Same, no! Similar? yes!
Yes, you can use it to find AC, Oil and Coolant Leaks!
can uv dye use to find engine oil leak?
Yes you can!! and fuel leaks too! Make sure the dye is especially for oil and fuel. But its the same principle, yes!
You must love to hear yourself talk.
Each and everyyyyyy day
🥶😎

and this is why you're still in this situation. Sometimes people need words :)
Ngl its nice explaining the system so we have a better understanding of hoe things work and therefore know why you are doing what you are.
That’s what I said! Lol
