Hope this video gets some minds going and some cool projects come from it! I have personally had a great time with these projects.
    Materials:
-15A silicone - The kit I buy comes with color dyes and lego bricks
-25A Platinum silicone - Needed for casting models from resin 3D printers
-Craft resin - I use a 1:1 ratio resin. Follow the instructions on the resin you use
-Drill and different mixing heads for the different silicones and resin
-Vacuum chamber to suck out the bubbles from the silicone and especially the resin
3D files for American Lock display found on my Thingiverse:
    www.thingivers...

00:25 - Silicone Types for 3D Resin models vs FDM models
    02:10 - 25A Platinum Silicone vs 15A Silicone
    04:05 - My Process
04:40 - Using the wrong Silicone type
    06:33 - Precautions
09:00 - Building the LEGO brick barriers for the Silicone pour
12:35 - Orienting models for silicone molds
    15:29 - What to do if a mold/cast isn't quite right...
17:23 - My Locksport resin projects
17:56 - Combining 3D printing, silicone molds, and resin
21:14 - Other resin projects I've done. Make sure the materials being cast are dry!

I just wanted to clarify something about the silicone. You are referring to the "shore hardness" as if it were a model number of product when it is not. the 12A you mention is just how hard the silicone is (squishy) and the 2 "types" of silicone are "tin cure" and "platinum cure" and you can get the same hardness in either of these. You are absolutely correct about platinum cure being what to use for resin 3D prints and that tin cure is stronger, longer lasting (no matter the shore-A hardness). But you really should not talk like the numbers you use are a "type" of silicone. The correct wording would be Tin VS. Platinum cure are the 2 main types but they both come in many different hardness (Shore-A value). Carry on.
