Wow Finally. Fool in the Rain was sooo good. It’s one of your shortest videos and you’re not talking too much during the song .I think it made you speechless. Great review !!!!! 7:54
I love you the way you are! ♥️. BTW this song is about Robert having a new girlfriend that he is so excited about but he gets her address wrong and he waits for her at the wrong street, while it’s pouring down raining - thus “Fool in the Rain”. Bonham has that samba swing that few if any other drummers could do at that time. He was so talented. JPJ on keys and bass going to town. Jimmy with the melody, and Robert with his incredible vocals. Fantastic song! YOU’RE BACK!! I’m so happy. ❤
Ahhh, another BrainSqueeze reaction to Led Zeppelin - whoooSaaaaaaaa. Made my day! I have a fond memory of this song, roommate in college bought it and we wore it out. - did you know the cover was watercolor? It came to life when you brushed water on it! Lost my best friend and roommate shortly afterwards, so watching you so enjoy this song lifts my heart!!
So … SO much talent in 4 men. JPJ on the keyboard, and John on the drums. None better then or now! It was so incredibly heartbreaking when Bonham died; they were definitely the hard rock ‘sound of the 70s’. Thank-you for keeping their music alive - great reaction!
YES!!! This music is why we were all happy teenagers!!! Lots of fantastic music. Lots of parties… lots of happy dancing!!!! Riding around with friends on country roads listening to music, drinking strawberry wine and smoking pot. Thank you for sharing your joy with us! It’s my happy place. So glad your back on here!
My favourite band hands down!! I got married to Led zeppelin & gave birth listening to misty mountain hop. Thank you Mark for putting a massive smile on my face today!! ❤
Such a heart breaking loss--and right before I finally thought I was going to have a chance to see them live. My best friend and I were breathlessly waiting to hear what their North American schedule for their upcoming tour was going to be. We lived in central Oregon, and figured we were going to have to beg our parents to take us to Seattle to see them--and prepared to beg we were. Probably my biggest musical regret, not being able to see them live.
One of my all time favorites. I've been humming and singing this song to myself for 30 years. My mom called it the circus song and she would play my leg like a guitar while driving down the road. Love it and love you brother.
I remember as a teen I’d stay up late at night sometimes to hear this song on local radio because the deejay would play it for me once his boss went to bed. There were so few songs that we could request that weren’t currently on the charts. I now know that payola was in full effect & it wasn’t that radio station managers were unaware of all the good music they weren’t playing. 😂
Another example of how Led Zeppelin could continually stun and amaze with their ability to amalgamate many different musical styles/influences on to one track.
I don't know why it makes me so happy to see you enjoying yourself so much to Zeppy, but it does. I just grinned and laughed through this whole thing! Thanks for the good vibes. 🤣
I actually went to the Brain Squeeze Reactions channel this week to see if there'd been any new LZ reactions, and was surprised to see all the videos gone-I don't know what happened, but am delighted to see this new one. I have zoned in on LZ drums from day 1, love the band, but Bonham has an extra special place in my heart, great to see someone else enjoying them too. Thanks so much 🥁💞
If you really want to hear songs with flutes, you should check out a group called Jethro Tull, if you are not already familiar with them. (Yes, another group that sounds like a "he" from their name, but they're a them.)
ZEPPELIN THE HAMMER OF THE GODS! 🥁🔥🎸🎹 That snare roll at the end of the samba section gets me every time ❤ Love your reactions never stop what you do 😊
These reactions are brilliant! they're fire man. Ive been subscribed for a while now and you never ever disappoint. Just pure energy and positive vibes all day long. 😃🤘
I just spent the weekend watching quite a few of your reactions to both PF and LZ. Thank you for such great reactions. You remind me of how these songs make me feel inside.
It's too bad you have to hide your light under a bushel in the "real" world. That is why you are so loved here because your light is shining and illuminating your sheer joy witch you share with us💕
Your Led Zeppelin reactions are pure gold, my friend. Glad to see you getting back to them. You should keep going! Listen to everything from each album. Hope you're well!
I love the intensity with which you experience listening to the great classic bands. Don't forget YES, the greatest symphonic/progressive rock band in the known galaxy. I suggest you start with The Yes Album; begin with "Yours Is No Disgrace." But be forewarned, like Pink Floyd, the band YES will rewire your brain and send you into sonic landscapes you never imagined.
Led Zep were my favourite band for years. They were good times🤩 Much ADHD love - you are right Mark, the "typicals" are not ready for us yet but we "divergents" are making more ground every day. We will get there. In the meantime stay strong and we will prosper. 🤓😺
You should definitely learn to play drums! And that shuffle that Bonzo does on here is not only difficult, but it's just so fun. I love all those fills coming back out of it as well. But I like everything about this song, and the lyrics are really pretty clever. I also like its placement on the album as well, there's a pretty good flow of songs there.
One of the greatest Zeppy tunes!!! I know myself and EVERY other Flodonian is waiting patiently for THE original Brainiac band Pink Floyd!!! How about Pulse concert series of Coming Back To Life???? It’s one of my faves!!! Love ya bro!!!
Toto‘s drummer Jeff Porcaro took inspiration from Bonham‘s shuffle in Fool in the Rain when he developed the shuffle for their song Rosanna. There’s a video in which Porcaro explains how he adapted Bonham’s idea; I think you can hear it easily enough. The Rosanna Shuffle is now legendary among drummers - go watch some of the UA-cam drummer channels and you‘ll soon find many tutorials about how to play it. A non-drummer like me can tell that it‘s challenging. For them the Rosanna Shuffle seems to be a rite of passage, you‘re not the real deal until you’ve mastered it.
Bonham giving a masterclass in drumming. Rock, blues, funk, jazz, even a f**king samba. The guy could do it all. And he could do it better than any other drummer. Sex with pigeons? I suppose anything's possible these days, lol.
This is Brazilian samba inspired with the whistles that their soccer ( football) fans would torture everyone with back in the days of Pele. Page was intense about Brasil and took on the homeless children of Brasil as his charity.
O&hhhhhhh yesssss . From one of thier slightly under appreciateated songs and albums. Thank you , thank you, needed this splendidly honest open and joyful reaction. Your reactions make me laugh, smile, dance, and exalt in joy at life again, just like when I was young listening them the first time, or 200th time. I literally walked off the job and went home early when I heard the news that Bonzo had died. Thanks for the memories.
Awesome song.. So many good memories out and about with my friends back in the day. This band was our party maker. Thanks for the memories friend.. Loved it man!!
I grew up listening to Led Zeppie. Found tapes and records and listened to them by myself and got encapsulated with their music. You remind me of myself hearing for the first time. I usually played a song multiple times before moving on to the next. I never really found anyone who listened to music like I’d did growing up. Oh, by the way, flute? The Marchal Tucker Band- can’t you see. If you haven’t heard it before, I think you’d like it.
John had a habit of breaking the snare skin. He got a hold of a snare with deeper sides . This softened the air pressure that tore the skin . Now he could smash it ( like you're suppose to) and gave a deep bottom end to zeps beat.
We get you Mark your perfect just like all of us are, I tell people I'm perfectly imperfect. No one is perfect, we're all different the world would be dull if we were not. So glad your back ❤

No songs with a flute, you say? Time to check out "Locomotive Breath" by Jethro Tull!
oh yeah, coming back with LZ!! I was especially waiting for this one since Bonham's work here is fantastic.
I just spent the weekend watching quite a few of your reactions to both PF and LZ. Thank you for such great reactions. You remind me of how these songs make me feel inside.

It's called the Bernard Purdue shuffle, where Bonham got it from. Look him up on UA-cam.
@@antarcticorb9197 It's Purdie, but yes. I think Bonham's take on it is the best though. Of course, I am a biased Zep Head.

I always wondered how often Bonham had to change the skin on his snare. Beats that like a red headed stepchild.
