Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and vocalist Robert Plant were inspired by samba beats that played during the 1978 FIFA World Cup tournament in Argentina. Zeppelin ended in 1980 just as I was getting into hard rock music but I've loved them ever since. Saw Page & Plant live in 1995 in the UK where they played loads of Zeppelin stuff so it felt like seeing them though of course Bonham & Jones were missing. Thank you my lovely girls for the surprise! This video reaction made my weekend. Mia, thank you for the shoutout at the very end of the video! That was awesome. The song was inspired by the sounds of carnival. Robert Plant and John Paul Jones were the ones who came up with the melody. It is John Bonham's late brother, Michael, blowing the whistle before John's outstanding drumming. I just love everything about this song. It puts me in a good mood when I am working away each day. I power walk listening to this as well. Zeppelin were changing their sound up a bit near the end of the 70's. This is certainly a different sound for them. Another great reaction Ladies ! This has always been one of my favourite Led Zep tracks. It demonstrates their incredible ability to amalgamate SO many diverse musical influences. This was recorded in Stockholm, at the studios owned by ABBA. Bjorn and Benny were both huge admirers of LZ, and personally invited them to Sweden to record In Through the Out Door. Robert Plant said it was the best recording studio he`d ever seen, or used.
One of my favorite songs of all time. Back in the nineties my restaurant manager said this is one of the most perfect songs ever written. I agree. So full of feeling, so fun. Can't say enough about this. Yes, the drums.
I think this is a perfect example of Led Zeppelin at their musical peek. If you can, listen to this song with headphones and pay attention just to the drums. Then play it again and listen just to the base. It’s hard not to hear Jimmy pages guitar of course and it’s impossible not to hear how clear Robert Plant‘s voice is on this particular song but give it a try?
It’s such a cool song. He’s standing on a corner in the rain waiting for his girl and she doesn’t show up because he’s on the wrong block. Obviously written way before cell phones.

Yes Robert Plant did make the song, wildest album was being created Robert Plant and John Paul Jones was in the Studio's pre-recording the singing in The Voice lyrics the bass and piano lines. Jimmy Page and John Bonham we're on the other side of England and hanging out on vacation later page and Bonham came to the studio they're part of the album. Fool in the Rain is hands-down my favorite John Bonham beat, a lot is going on with him on the drums. First of all the solo has a touch of Latin in it. Also there are two different kinds of Beats going on throughout the whole song this is called a polyrhythmic Beat. On top of that John Bonham ads in these low sound notes on his snare just to spice up the Rhythm you can barely hear them unless you are specifically listening for it. These kinds of drum notes that are barely hearable are called Ghost Notes. Good reaction ladies, please do a reaction of Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven from Earls Court 1973 it is purely a different guitar solo that you will definitely enjoy and discover how Led Zeppelin never did the same exact concert twice it was always different

girl was actually waiting for him in rain , because her love was so deep for him = his error was that he was on the wrong block ( he foolishly thinks he was stood up )
John Bonham killed it!!! It's so sad, I think you know his story, Bonham didn't think he was a drummer that compared well to his contemporaries at this point... yet he was soooo very very much the best.
Nice to see you react to what I'd probably categorise as a 'lesser known' track from Them. When I saw the name of the track my brain went a bit blank and I thought, "I don't think I know that track .. huh?" Then I heard the first notes and realisation dawned: it's from In Through The Out Door. It's one of those tracks that, I think, you cannot unhear the vocalist: I cannot imagine anyone else singing it, it HAS to be Robert Plant's voice, none other would fit the track. Loved the way (and now knowing I knew the track, I knew what was coming up ...!) you reacted to how it changed, how the keyboards came to the fore, the style of the music to .... I will show my ignorance here .... a salsa/Latin-feel rhythm? Can't recall the exact timing but the album was released around the time of their Knebwoth concert which I saw, I think it came out afterward and they played two tracks from it, one of them being In the Evening (the other my memory is hesitant about!) And that track is also very different to a lot of their 'usual stuff', being more mellow in approach, maybe?
I love to see reactions to this song, and your reaction was fabulous! This is one of my favorite John Bonham drum songs. If you didn't notice this song has, throughout most of the song, a 3 over 4 feel. The guitar and bass are playing a quarter note triplet groove while Bonham holds it down with a 4/4 drum groove. Really tough rhythm to hold together. My favorite drum part is just after the calypso breakdown part as it transitions to the guitar solo. What Bonham does there with his fills is pure genius. Anyway, nice job girls, and keep the great reviews (and Zeppelin tunes) coming!
This song is on my "Cruising" list of songs, when I'm cruising in my Chevy S-10 pickup!! I remember when "In Through the Out Door," came out! I was 17 and it rocked my world!!!
Great video girls! One of my favorites that you both have done. As you can tell by my name I'm a huge led Zeppelin fan also. I love this song. I thought you both sang good in this video and you both had cool shirts on 💜❤️💜
It's great watching you girls get into Led Zeppelin. I'm twice your age and I just recently became a fan. Fool In The Rain is in my top ten of favorite Zeppelin songs. Some hardcore Zeppelin fans don't like it because it's not the rock or blues they're use to. One of the reasons I like Zeppelin is because they don't make the same song over and over. And to prove how good this song is, my mom is NOT a Zeppelin fan and she loves this song👌
more zeppelin-ramble on.communication breakdown, black dog.rock and roo,.whole lot of love and there reggae song dyermaker-then after that we have 150 more
This is one of the 'simpler' Led Zep tunes...mainly featuring the drums and percussion. Most of the main percussion part is just Bonham, tapping all sorts of things in rapid succession, and then the end of the 'middle part' is just amazing. Listen to 'In My Time Of Dying' and 'Achilles Last Stand' for more Bonham power drumming (if you haven't already...). Love you girls, keep rockin!
@@markuse3472 Not saying it's not a great song, just that there are only 2 basic parts, and they're more for the rhythm beat; The whole thing probably started with Bonzo fooling around with that intricate beat, and the rest just filled in. Overall pretty neat, I listen to it often!
When, in your own time you continue exploring Led Zep, you will find the later albums to have a wide variety of sounds, lots of experimental, very cool stuff, Nice Reaction! Also, I watched a cool video showing comparison between an electronic drum track and what Bonham actually played, really highlights his expression.
4:55 Mia hit Salsa Mode. Another awesome video, girls. Sorry Juliet, Mia stole the show, again. Also, I'm recommending: I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick.
Just don't use the Official Video. For some unknown reason they chopped 44 seconds from the bridge, which ruins the song. Make sure to react to the studio version which is 5 1/2 minutes long.
On second thought, I don't think that song is appropriate for them, especially the 11-year old. It's pretty raunchy with some explicit lyrics and other vocalizations.
Great show! Thank you! If you two like John Bonhams drumming, you should listen to their songs Bonzo's Montreaux and Moby Dick. True art like Led Zeppelin stands the test of time.

Girls your amazing as usual, I grew up listening to Zeppelin in the 70's and I always thought there music was way ahead of there time, Custard pie anyone? Just kidding that's another one of there songs.
They’ve so many great songs to choose from its not funny. As always enjoyed your reaction. You two beautiful young ladies are expanding your music horizon and listening to music you probably would have never listened to ever and it makes me excited to see you hear them for the first time.🤘🤘🎸🎸☮️☮️💕💕
girl was actually waiting for him in rain , because her love was so deep for him = his error was that he was on the wrong block ( he foolishly thinks he was stood up )
John Bonham killed it!!! It's so sad, I think you know his story, Bonham didn't think he was a drummer that compared well to his contemporaries at this point... yet he was soooo very very much the best.
NICE SHIRTS!!!!!
Remember buying this when it came out. SOME people were in shock because it wasn't hard heavy metal. And of course hearing the news about Bonham.
Led Zeppelin was never heavy metal. If that's what people were expecting, they were in for a surprise!
I thought you both sang good in this video and you both had cool shirts on 💜❤️💜
Thank you Jimmy!
Let's get to it! Yea!
Yee!
From their last studio album "In through the out door" which was one of the many great albums they made!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love that your impressed by both John Bonham's drumming and Jimmy Page's guitar technec Love you guys!!
more zeppelin-ramble on.communication breakdown, black dog.rock and roo,.whole lot of love and there reggae song dyermaker-then after that we have 150 more
Zep could turn their hand to anything. A little samba? Bring it on ( home)!
Gals .... ....... Once again you both made this old tune so much fun!!! You guys really bring the FUN with you!!! Nice work!
"simpler," but one of the most beautiful songs and melodies in rock and overall popular music history.
simple and fun
@@markuse3472 Not saying it's not a great song, just that there are only 2 basic parts, and they're more for the rhythm beat; The whole thing probably started with Bonzo fooling around with that intricate beat, and the rest just filled in. Overall pretty neat, I listen to it often!
@@paulbewlay4527 I know. Regarding the majority of songs out back then, prior, after, and today, it still stands out as Great.
One of my favorite Zeppelin songs.
It's not a sad song because he realizes he was the fool in the rain because "I'm just a fool waiting on the wrong block".
Watching Y'all react to this song made my day.........Thanks girls !!
That beautiful "shuffle beat" on the drums!
Such a great Zep song, it's a late one in their catalogue. You guys picked a great one! And your comments are always spot on.
Yes John Bonmune RIP best drummer
4:55 Mia hit Salsa Mode. Another awesome video, girls. Sorry Juliet, Mia stole the show, again.
Also, I'm recommending: I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick.
just an FYI....this entire album is incredibly good. all of it.
Wow! HAHAH! LOOK AT THE TWO BEAUTIFUL GIRLS REACTION FOOL IN THE RAIN By LED ZEPPELIN. FANTASTIC!
I hope whole lotta love next I think you girls will love this song bye girls keep on rocking !
Led Zep is a class of their own🎉🎉🎉
"Groovy' is a perfect way to describe this song!
Great show! Thank you! If you two like John Bonhams drumming, you should listen to their songs Bonzo's Montreaux and Moby Dick. True art like Led Zeppelin stands the test of time.
Moby Dick live. From The Song Remains the Same. Incredible.
Wear those t shirts with pride ladies. From the same album in 1979, try " In The Evening"!! Excellent reaction , as always. Stay safe and smiling.
Thank you Malc! We love these shirts!
@@danasfaith5738 we all love them!!
Muchas gracias Lobo!
Led Zeppelin- Dazed and Confused live via Song Remains the Same. You already did Stairway to Heaven from Song Remains the Same, but Dazed and Confused will blow your mind. Trust me
They did half that song but it got blocked. It's on their patreon. Minds were blown.
It’s funny both your heads start bobbing perfectly in time immediately.
OMG!! From The Album "IN Through The Out Door" !!! Very Solid Song!!!!
QUE LINDO TEMA CHICAS COMO SIEMPRE CON USTEDES DESDE ARGENTINA
VIVA ARGENTIINAA ! !
Gracias Lucas!
Ooohhhhh you were so close!!!!! When I saw there was a new Led Zeppelin reaction from the amazing Dana's Faith and I saw the word "Rain" in the title you had me hoping for a second there! Good as this song may be it cannot hold a candle to "The Rain Song"! Tell your t-shirt supplier and song checker-outer to get on it! Best wishes to the both of you!
They have covered it! 🤨
@@williamcabell142 Great, thank you for letting me know!
Groovy song! Groovy reaction!!
Old guy here...I think this might be John Bonham's (drummer) best LZ song.....certainly up there.
