Thx so much for the channel...61 yrs old with adhd/dyslexia and u bring me to tears...my friends would yell at me cause I couldn't sit and listen I had to dance (I can't dance either, who cares is the answer) please keep responding, u lift my spirit THANKS
My favorite Led Zeppelin song is usually whichever one I'm listening to! Because they are all so awesome. But if forced to pick one, or half a dozen, Kashmir is certainly on the list, at or near the top. I'm glad you finally listened to it--seems like you enjoyed it! Stairway to Heaven is certainly LZ's iconic track, but Kashmir is arguably their best. I read somewhere that Jimmy Page said it scared him to play it, and Robert Plant said that singing it moved him to tears. And they're the guys that wrote it! I trust you understand now why everybody has been saying "Do Kashmir! Do Kashmir!"
Now go listen to the 2007 version performed at the O2 in London when Robert was 59, JPJ was 61 and Page was 63. They had Jason Bonham, son of John on drums.
I'm gobsmacked that you hadn't gotten 'round to this by now, lol! One of their most-requested (Yeah, I know, me and others were naggin you to do "In my time of dying," which, to our ever-thankful eyes and ears, you did!) for reacotrs. And for good damn reason. And yes, the video live Knebworth version (1979) of Kashmir is a MUST for DRUM-lovers of Zep like yourself. John Bonham takes himself to new heights, the whole band is ON, it's a jaw-dropping performance all around!
OMG! I've been away for awhile and your wild tangent off into the "WIN ONE FOR PETE!" story got me laughing so hard and thinking SHAME ON ME for missing out on so much! IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK!
This is the song the band is most proud of. It’s about Plant & Page driving through the Sahara Desert, on their way to a music festival in Morocco, nothing to do with Kashmir. Nobody in the band had been to Kashmir, though Plant fell in love with Morocco, & still visits there often.
Watching your head bop and thrust reminds me of a figurehead at the front of a ship in rough waters...cutting through the sonic waves of the Zeppelin ocean!
Yes 🔥 Yes 🔥Yes 🔥 I've been waiting for a long time for you to do this one ,🤣 We used to come home after work and play the records over and over, esp this one in the 70's🎶 Led Zeppelin , Pink Floyd, ELO, stones etc. I'm glad you're enjoying it and bring it back great memories for me 💕
Haha! You don't restrict your brain with logic so sometimes you come up with delightfully incorect word interpretations. AND YES you need to appreciate the video of them performing this live with Bonham's son in 2007 when in their 60's. Beautiful! Also I can't help wondering what Zeppelin songs would be like if Robert had a brain like yours and imagined the words for the music in your way!
I LOVE this song!! I LOVE Led Zeppelin!! I grew up in this era and this is one of my all time absolute all time fav songs ever, it's right at the top if not THE TOP!!! LOVE IT!!! Check out Kashmir from Celebration Day Tour, I think it's even better with time.. like fine wine and cheese!!
Concrete basement party, billiards table, half kegger in the outside stairwell, bong pit, pretty girls, one light above the pool table, and Led Zeppelin A to Z on the reel to reel blasting from 6 in the evening until the sun came up around 5am. That's how we did it in my neighborhood.
Page and Plant rereleased a version of this with orchestra and Egyptian band added. It's AMAZING. Irvine Meadows Amphitheater is a great live version to watch and hear.
It took me about 40 years to decide that "In the Light" is my favorite Zep track!!!! Please react to it. It's kind of like PF's "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" sort of!
When it comes to the word fuck you should listen to George Carlin usage of the word fuck. He comments (and gives great examples) on how versatile fuck can be. I think you would really enjoy it
The the music only not the lyrics, is from the movie GODZILLA 2000 or MANNHATTEN.... but the song it one of my favorites of all time....!!!! Thanks Hector.... Love from Canada....
Now that you've heard this, listen to the live versions; Knebworth from 1979 [ their last UK concerts. - They did two weekends, & I saw both, because it is 2 miles from my house ], 'Celebration Day' at the O2 in 2007, with Bonzo's son Jason taking his Father's place, and the 'Unledded' version by Page & Plant, with a pick-up band including Page's son in law Charlie Jones, and a British orchestra, and an Egyptian orchestra. Truly amazing.
Another great one ! I love listening to Led Zeppy with you. And yes, John Bonham was the best rock drummer as Jimmy Page is the best guitarist, Plant the best singer and JPJ the best bassist….THE BEST BAND EVER! I’d love you to do their whole catalog….❤
Thank you loved it. Soneday listen to the 1979 Knebworth versuin live, and the the Celebration Day live version. The difference is 1979 is the original band version soooo good especially drums. The celebration day is thier reunion version 30 years later. The drummer is John Bonhams son, very good version from guys in thier later years.
FINALLY! LOL There's never been a song like Kashmir! And if there were, it wouldn't be even a shadow of what this is! 9:20 my car speakers blew at this point literally lol!
Mark once again a fantastic reaction to some classic Rock looking forward to your next floyd reaction and once again im calling on all you old rockers to encourage mark to listen to some YES where is Brain will melt and his soul will leave his body, lets start with either I've seen all good people or starship trooper come on you old farts lets encourage the younger generation into some great music 🎶
Led Zeppelin and the Doors played a festival in 1969 in Woodinville, WA USA where I grew up. It was 2 weeks before Woodstock and apparently had the same atmosphere, but the facilities at the Washington festival were decidedly superior to the Woodstock gig.
They were SO good… (and the 3 remaining members still are - in their separate careers)! I was 25 when this song (album) came out.. they had only gotten better over the years. I’m from that very fortunate generation of the 60s-70s-80s music; we took it for granted. Re-experiencing it today through reactors has been great fun! Thanks Mark - you’re the best, I always look forward to your reactions! Although - gotta say, I occasionally worry about you!😏 (And, you might have heard the song in Oceans 12??)
I first heard this song a long time ago. I thought I was the only one that really liked it and is one of my favorites. Then many decades later, I learned from my nephew that it is his dad's favorite, too. His dad is WAY younger than me. Glad you rocked to it, too, Hector!
Awesome! Been waiting for this reaction for a long time. You didn't disappoint. I believe many artists have sampled this song including Puffy and Beyonce. Keep doing your thing man. You're killing it.
This is the one where John Bonham decided to hit the cymbals really hard. 😮 The whole beat is about where the crash cymbals aren't. That desert distance... I never get tired of this song.
The family of the person named Zeppelin who invented the airborne vessel tried to sue these guys for using the name for their group. At one concert in Copenhagen, the group used another name for their group. I think it was The Nobs or some such name.
Led Zeppelin is the greatest band EVER !! And this song is so amazing !!! John Bonham without a doubt the best drummer ever !! Thank you for an outstanding reaction ♥ Much love Mark
Such a masterpiece! Do yourself a favor and go find the lyrics and read them without the music. They are stellar...absolute pictorial poetry. I can remember floating on a water mat on the lake on sweltering day. And the warmth on my skin was taking me somewhere exquisite. Suddenly I head Plant singing, "Oh let the sun beat down upon my face Stars fill my dreams." It was a damn moment!
In Fast Times, his friend says play something from Zeppelin 4, but we know this is from Ph. Graff. wonder if that was a mistake or they did that intentionally.?
One of my favorite by them! It makes me sooo happy when you react to led zeppelin!!!! Thank you brainsqueeze 😊 I'm excited for this one! This song was in oceans 12! Ha
Kashmir is the bands and most fans favorite song. Gotta check out 79 at Knebworth. Your next logical step is Achilles Last Stand, and yes you will love Bonzo on thst
He‘s reacted to Trampled Underfoot, look for it on his channel. It‘s a great reaction. As we‘ve come to expect, he is his usual calm, collected, and understated self, if you know what I mean.
My "old" self says "fuck yes!" I knew this would be a brainsqueeze. That opening beat....It's from Led Zeppelin....😅 You hear cars, I hear trekking across the desert astride a camel, looking for an oasis or stepwell as the interminable sun beats down. But, really, the song is about nipples...
I love this song! No other voice in the world like Robert! Love them all! You should check out the guitarist Marcin doing his take on this classic! It will blow your mind!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Thx so much for the channel...61 yrs old with adhd/dyslexia and u bring me to tears...my friends would yell at me cause I couldn't sit and listen I had to dance (I can't dance either, who cares is the answer) please keep responding, u lift my spirit THANKS

@mikepowers6659 you can dance.. Even if it's not up to other people's standards.. who cares go shake your butt and have fun
2:49 "Where's that from?!?"
Fugging everywhere. If you've been alive in the past half century, you know that opening riff. It's just in the air.
Haha! I've found the answer...breathing is where I heard it!

I agree. The drums are over the top. Best drummer ever for the best band ever. ❤😊

Now he knows. Finally.
Most drummers play rhythm. Bonham is one of the only ones I've ever heard who play lead.
I've never thought about it like that, but you're absolutely right!
The Celebration clip for this is righteous! They still kick it. And Jason owns the drums. RIP JB.
Achilles Last Stand is my flavourite
Yes. Live from celebration day. It’s unbelievable how great this still are.
My favorite song by them. Im sooo glad you FINALLY got to it!!!😊 You saved the best for Last😁
The Phase shifter on the Drum rolls are incredible.. R.I.P. John Bonham
Now go listen to the 2007 version performed at the O2 in London when Robert was 59, JPJ was 61 and Page was 63. They had Jason Bonham, son of John on drums.
Also 1979 at knebworth...absolutely magnificent!
I think the 2007 version is the BEST version ever.
Celebration day.
They hamnwred it!
Celebration Day Concert live version please Mr Hector 🙏

Astonishing that you waited so long for this masterpiece, but what a finale to your Led Zeppelin journey!
IMO, and Led Zeppelin’s opinion, this is their true Masterpiece. This is the song they want to be remembered for. Now you see why. It’s EPIC 🔥
the drums are ridiculous - RIP John (Bonzo) Bonham
OMG!
I've been away for awhile and your wild tangent off into the "WIN ONE FOR PETE!" story got me laughing so hard and thinking SHAME ON ME for missing out on so much!
