54 years old and just getting into all of this, awesome content Sir!
I hope to still be doing all of this at 54 good stuff sir!
Would love to see an update video
"Clear gun" Funniest thing I saw in internet today.
Like the safety & boresight
So I have a Gen Five 17 and I love the simplicity, reliability and safety design of this platform but do like the idea of the grip modification done by boresight. With glocks, in able to point the pistol properly I have to lock out my left wrist and arm as a right handed shooter which I notice makes my left arm tired. With a comfortable presentation of the glock, which means not having the wrists or arms locked, I have to bend my head down which is not ideal, but I can do it. I want to stay with the glock platform but after handling a VP9 and a PPQ, I notice they feel much more natural. While shooting those two pistols there's no underlying focus being put on any awkwardness in the way it feels in my hand as there is with the glock. This allows me to focus as much as I need on my target and I shot those two pistols really well. I shoot the glock well too but it takes a little more effort in the sense of what I explained. Does this modification to the grip by borelight bring the ergonomics close enough to that of the VP9/PPQ/M&P or should I just go out and buy one of those and ditch the glocks.
Jed, I know you are working with Walther now and they are making some nice guns but even they benefit from Ben at Boresight Solutions! I carry a Gen 5 19 Ben and team did for me and it is literally the pinnacle of polymer. Boresight is always innovating and improving on what they do. Lastly the fact that if the stippling wears down they will redo it for you.
Rick
Jedi, dude, I literally started laughing wayyy out loud of my control when you started fingering your barrel, my god dude you had me cracking up, I couldn't breath.
Sadly, did not check it properly ... his tongue stayed in his mouth
Love your videos. Can't wait for your class in Clarkston, WA. 1 year and counting down.
Ben’s the best in the business. And, PS Scott, it’s good to find someone else who doesn’t care for wide, flat triggers. 😊
ive followed you on youtube and instagram...thank you for the tips and tricks you show us. i live in Johannesburg South Africa, and if i coild i would love to take a course you present, but here in deep dark africa we are trying to survive any way we can
17 is awesome I’m really loving my g45 but I can’t help my first love the 34 it has a soft spot in my heart fantastic gun
I'll be carrying my 17 as well. Getting it set up over the next few months before I put it into action. Going with a tlr7 I don't want to add too much to the size of the gun since it's aiwb. Still need a slide and sights but I have a kingslayer dot that I love. It's big but so is my glock so it fits well on my p80 19. I think it will be very happy on my 17 once I have a way of mounting it.
Great Gat from a great company with fantastic customer service!
I like that striker control device concept
You’ve been a big help, thanks.
Beautiful Glock! 👍
Not boring.
Very nice piece of gear.
Thanks for sharing and keep yourself safe.
Randy
I stumbled across your sight and let you strong arm me into subbing. Your sense of humor is strangely like mine. I don’t know whether I’ve complimented or insulted either or the both of us but it is what it is. Anyway , I know more than I did before I watched you and your rationale for 10 yards makes more sense to a 73 yo fart like myself who also, “…can’t see shit.”
The other young micro 9 snipers can zero their wonder nines at 200 yds but I’ll stick with 10, appendix carry, and stuff my crotch with athletic socks.
Regards, Samurai
David
I think it's time for a new video and an update on your current gun. Love these.
SLR and Dawson also have gen 5 magwells.
Gen 5 mos Glock17 is a GREAT choice for my personal edc
Wish I came across your channel sooner. It's gold. Thanks for all the good info.
Hopefully I get to take one of your classes down the line
Interesting that you mention telling a friend. A buddy just texted me about a G19 MOS he bought the other day I was like you gotta check out this dude on UA-cam called Modern Samurai 😂
I also found you through James yeagers channel.
You got some very informative information on gun fighting!
Thanks for the info!
New subscriber, thanks for putting up your videos... I'm making the transition to AIWB carry and your videos are a great source of info.
Should try the Johnny Glock JG VEX trigger…. Has the same shape as OEM but the reset is amazing and it’s about 3lbs
Just subscribed.
I told the warrior poet society Dude he should take one of your classes. He's so dramatic it's horrible. Anyway your freaking awesome thanks.
You damn right we dig it brother
Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I thought I was the only one who didn't like flat triggers...
Great video just would have love to see some close ups on the pistol.
I've got odd hands, in that I have bigger than average hand/palms, but shorter thicker fingers. For me to see the dot on my G19 I have to hit the perfect grip, where as on my G17 I can see it even if my initial grip is a bit off. I have the issue with my G19 as the grip is a bit too short and the bottom of my hand/pinky hangs off the grip. I've found that my draw is faster and more consistent with my G17 as well.
Just found your videos, transitioning to a red dot. Appreciate your information
Thanks for the tips.
Good advice!
Judy chop..... Lmaooo been years since I seen that video
I'll hit the subscribe button for thatlolll
Sweet blaster!
Always useful
Enjoying your thoughts would like to take your class sometime.
Nice looking gun.
Good video……thanks for posting…..
Great guns from a great company!!!
That’s a lot of carry gun there! Good on you man!
I just picked up the PDP and added a 507. After I saw your video with yaeger, I’m looking for any material of yours I can find, and I’m taking a class on rds soon.
I would love to take a class with you
Love it Jedi!
Looks good brother RLTW!!
Ben is a great guy and make truly amazing fighting guns!!!
Raptor4
Just curious if you've shoot the SIG P320 X-5.....great vids as well!
The P320 has the potential to shoot when dropped or even holstered, also a dead trigger on a P320 can be reset by smacking the pistol on it's back on a hard surface. If you're wondering if that issues has been resolved, here's a new video on Sig's Lawsuit situation on that matter ua-cam.com/video/-VTtnrFPLGs/v-deo.html
Scott, feels weird to say, I am lovin' the videos, but I will share the videos with associates. Question: Looking for a Red Dot form my Glock 19 Gen 4. Purpose: Home Dee...
Scott, I'm curious your take on minus and or dot connector(standard on gen 4) in a gen 3 gun... for carry. I watched the episode a few times on P&S about pistol mods, but I guess I'm curious your specific thoughts on carrying a "modified" trigger. I waver back and fourth... I don't get any accuracy benefit in slow fire from a lighter trigger, but shooting a FAST with stock trigger can get a bit ugly if I'm trying to make up time with the last 4 shots.
hawkgeoff If something makes shooting easier and doesn’t take away from reliability, I am all for it.
Thanks Scott.
Ever try the shadow systems xr920
Scott - Would you do an updated version of this now? I believe your carrying the PDP now?
We would love to have a recent update! What do we buy if we're going to come train with you? pdp 5" + 509t? tier1 concealment holster? Thanks a ton!
Buy a quality gun, optic and holster that you can afford.
you have changed the way i shoot for the better. no doubt.
my question to you is just how much of your glock is actually glock? after watching you talk about shooting, you'd likely be better than most people with a stock hi-point.
you can tell i'm no glock fan, but i do thank you for putting that safety gizmo on there as stock glocks are incredibly unsafe.
Looks super nice. That striker prevention system is very appealing... I'm going to have to pick that up for the G45.
G45, love mine.
Seems like a fine gun. I've never understood why guys press the trigger after they verify the gun is empty though. If you know it's empty, you don't need to press the trigger. If you don't know if it's empty, don't press the trigger. Just sets guys up for an ND. It's one of those terrible ideas gun competitions force you to do.
Keep these videos up
Ever tried or reviewd the Shadow Systems platform?
Scott, I'm curious your take on the auto adjust rmr vs the 06. I've heard a bunch about washout with a weapon mounted light, but if you didn't roll with a light on the gun would the auto have an advantage? ie… Neck index with a handheld... any experience?
hawkgeoff I use a both a handheld and a wml. That said auto adjusts have issues with shooting from a dark area into a light etc.
I have a boresight solutions Glock 19 duty series. I’m unsure if the zev magwell will fit properly. How did you do it?
Could you direct me to your dot size video?
Thoughts on the c2dpo?
Are you still with Agency Arms? Just curious.
Do they allow weapon light on gun for USPSA or IDPA ?
In Open they do
Do you still recommend the striker control device?
For Glocks? Sure. Why not?
@@ModernSamuraiProject good to know! I’m looking at getting the grip reduction for a Glock or just not really worry about it and I saw you had a boresight solution Glock
Allygoorithmith goodness for you...
"Internet Nazi's" with facial expressions! Thanks for the laugh!
👍🏽👍🏽
Are you not with Agency anymore ?
Phil Macracken what holsters are u running? Haven’t been able to find a comfort fit for my pistol with the sure fire x300
LOL!
When u say u love glock. You buy one then change everything expect the serial number. Do u really love glock. I always founded it strange and confusing.
When did I say I love Glock? .
@@ModernSamuraiProject i was speaking generally. I was not singling u out sir.
4:16 you forgot to flip off the camera after fingering your pistol.
I bet if you featured your wife you'd get more subs....
