I'll be honest, when I read "Prefabricated Homes" I was expecting a stereotypical trailer park. These were all actually very well put together and modern.
Just please make sure the value in the resale will be there, I would hate to see you put whatever savings you may have left into a depreciating asset. Really enjoying your new content, it's great to see you active again.
Haven’t even watched the video but wanted to say love these irl vlogs. The last one on the mission to get your asic shoes is so cool and entertaining to watch for whatever reason. Very chill and laid back. Keep it up swifty
swifty!!!!! those are beautiful home but u got too think about hurricane season u would most likely have too leave because im pretty sure the hurricane winds would wrack it it took category 3 too wrack mine just tryin too help u out man
make sure you check for cost of, plumbing, electricity, hvac and sewage + water... i work construction in canada and even tho you're in florida i'd pay extra $$$ have a proffessional insulate everything to be cold proof all year round that weather can be tricky for pipes... happy to see you house hunting can't wait to see the land
Remember swifty sometimes there are extra expenses with land like septic system installation, water well installation also running a power line to your house.
Gotta do a lot of site prep for a prefab..septic, well drilling, water softener with UV bacteria filter, water pressure pump so you always have good pressure ect. All can get really costly. Depending on cost prolly better to just buy a house that’s already built in suburbia. And be prepared for a lot of cracking in the house when it settles. Usually companies will fix whatever we t needs in the first 12 months.
Half the homes in florida are double and single wide and i can find a used one for less than 10 grand, sink 15-20 in and it be brand new. A new property will always have to have septic and well...... Even for a normal home. These are more cost effective depending. Septic and well always fall on the property, is it existing or do you have to put it in yourself? You buying a property lot and putting this on? This is all i do for a living in florida and georgia.
@@JRileyD iAnd 99 percent of land in Florida does not have a septic/well. And power could be miles away. Most of the land in Florida is no good. I live here for 16 years. 8k min for well. And that’s even if they can hit the water table.
These houses look amazing. I'm so used to my generation getting crappy house builds built on top of each other in estates. Refreshing to see nice big moveable homes
If you have troubles finding a house with a streaming room, why dont u just go with a house that you really like and build a nice cabin in your backyard? a freind of mine got one by his own. he is not streaming but he has a cabin as his man cave. he got the internet and everything in there, he can be as loud as he wants to be even if the kids are sleeping and enough space for all the stuff he needs. it would also be a really cool project to document as a vlog.
This is crazy lol. I just started a job building pre fab houses and i started watching swiftys older videos and now you are visiting pre fab homes lol.
I owned a modular home and they're a cheaper option for a lot of the conveniences of a more modern home. You get the customize the decor, layout and siding color when you order one. The big appeal is what you get for the cost. I paid 120k for mine at the time, when other 2bed 2bath 1000sqft homes were around 400k and were needing repairs. It was a great option to be able to afford a home in a inflated real estate market
The 4 bedroom one you guys really liked, are you not able to hire a contractor to add an outside you like? Say like extend the outside with a porch and what not?
Jeez, these houses are so nice but what made me an impression is the size of them. Every room and even the furniture looks gigantic. Meanwhile in Europe you can only hope that you can get an apartment with 3 tiny rooms for a similar price.
It looks VERY nice on the inside, especially after seeing the outside. That said, you need to be very critical of the quality of the interior construction and make sure it isn't cheap.
With the need for new homes and the times it takes to build a new traditional home I am interested to read up on other options. I would like to know how serious of a hurricane these homes can take. I am assuming this will be shipped to Orlando.
This video gives me hope that i will continue to be able to flip houses and properties and make good margins cause no one knows a thing about housing thats a regular joe.
Not sure if you bought one of those already, but if you can afford it, I'd recommend buying a real one. We say "real" home for a reason. These prefab stuff is not solid enough, and in Florida, I cant imagine living in a prefab, where strong winds and strong rains occur from time to time. I wouldnt feel safe and that's what a house is supposed to be: your safe heaven. They make it beautiful inside, to make people think it is amazing, comfortable, to feel at home. One hurricane is all it takes to turn your life upside down. Also, you checked a house that doesnt have A/C; it is a good indication of how bad the isolation is. Though we shouldnt have any electricity issue for the next few years, it gives you an idea of how much your electricity bill will be (even more since you live in Florida, and probably will use A/C a good part of the year). Consider also the resale value. Finally, the 1st house was quite bad, with a highway just in front of the house. Anyway, take care bro, and be safe!
My sister build one of these in WA. Like a lot of people I had an incorrect misconception that Pre-fab meant mobile home. It's not. Pre-fab is a lot like a regular house, they just prebuild walls ETC and ship whole pieces to the location. Then assemble it like big Lego's. The end product can be pretty nice
I like the inside of the houses. The thing I don't like about the outside is they have no charm/character. But if you don't care about that then these look like great houses.
I don't understand, in one of the last videos you kept talking how you liked your actual house and how your mom told you to not change house cause she was fine with climbing stairs.
My boy moving to Tampa or just buying a house in Tampa and transporting it somewhere else? Either way, if you move to Tampa drink and dinner on me. Wish you the best!
Wait, is this going to be a really long term home? If not, what is the resale for a prefab home? For $400k, I would imagine you could find a home. If not then, if possible, increase the budget a little and have something w/ equity later on. Idk, my 2 cents. Not sure what the market is in Tampa but I just bought a town house for short term rentals in PCB for $375 across from the beach.
Just out of curiousity, what does a house like this cost in the usa? the size of the houses and how they look from the inside would be hilariously expensive in germany. the kitchen alone would be like 15 to 20.0000 USD in germany. the first house as is would be alteast 500.000 in germany and thats the house alone, not even the ground to put it on. well, i would have to mention that the houses in germany are usually stone and not wood. 50.000 dollar for land is a joke xD in germany its like atleast 5000€ per sqaure meter.
Yeah that's why most people here in germany rent flats. More than 70% are renting. It's pretty much impossible to own a house right now and it will only get worse thanks to the material shortages.
This really puts the “you can’t judge the book by it’s cover”, the inside is very nice.
swifty is like a golden retriever
love it. keep em coming old friend

I'll be honest, when I read "Prefabricated Homes" I was expecting a stereotypical trailer park. These were all actually very well put together and modern.
My thoughts exactly! Very nice inside^^
Super nice indeed, totally unfair to judge based off “prefabricated”
"modern" - has wall to wall carpets in almost every room. Welcome to the 80s
get off this channel you poison
it must be why there prices are low. that and the outsides are very plain. i'm actually genuinely considering these now!
Just please make sure the value in the resale will be there, I would hate to see you put whatever savings you may have left into a depreciating asset. Really enjoying your new content, it's great to see you active again.
Ima be honest Swifty you look really happy and its fun to see!!! :)

I liked the 1st house the best. Was thinking you could always decorate/add on to the outside later. Porch, garage, etc...

2:49 it's call a mud room. Washer and dryer hook up is there too on wall. Happy house hunting.
That first one and third one are both beautiful
This first house looks freaking awesome! Go for it man!
Man these are nice and more
Modern than regular homes
And bigger too.
Might as well use that last bathroom as the gaming room, already has the RGB.
Very nice looking place Swifty, I like it. Make a EPIC gaming/streaming room. I LIKE THE FIRST ONE!

I think that house would be perfect for y'all :) so happy for y'all!
The first one (trade winds) was the best imo
Swifty calling the laundry room another kitchen has me dying 🤣🤣
Wow I didn’t know this was a thing. Really cool. I’m glad your so happy Swifty :)
First one was great man, looked amazing!
Not going to lie the inside looked really nice.
I was really not expecting it to look that good inside
woah i wasnt expecting those houses on stilts to look that amazing. that looks like a 900k home here in San Diego
What a beautiful house at the inside
I’m going to build this house in Mexico, thanks swifty 😍❤️
Keep laughing when Swifty gets excited when a house has a bathroom :D
Looks really nice inside!! It reminds me of the sims for some reason

Namaste Swifty,
You should really go with the first home. It was perfect.
the inside suprised me GREATLY lol
Mby build the main house and get a prefab house for your smaller secondary house.

I'd be a little worried about a hurricane with a prefab no?
Central Florida isn't as affected by the hurricane aoe like the coast
The inside of these houses are insanely nice. Hope the best swifty

oh man get the first one and put on a bunch of additions onto it

Those look better than the inside of most California houses
My house is lake front I love it but the mosquitos are brutal.
Tradewinds 2 was the nicest inside for room
actually really nice on the inside

Many of the homes have different exterior options if you don't like the appearance of the exterior, you can pick another.
when checking land dont forget to look into those internet speeds

Who remembers the Tijuana Flat days! That place is yummy
Was looking at this exact house 3 weeks ago one the few i loked there and of course if over 400k
I don't understand, in one of the last videos you kept talking how you liked your actual house and how your mom told you to not change house cause she was fine with climbing stairs.
Only drawback is noise. How isolated is it from the inside? I would suggest being as far from the road as possible.
yeah this is surprisingly nice, id totally live in there, the thing about that price tho, but yeah dad got it right, get land for sure!

be careful with getting land away from the city, with your streaming and youtube, internet will be horrible out there compared to inside of the city.
The houses look less plain once you put shrubbery and decoration outside. They look plain because they are not decorated outside

Like the first one best :D
The funny part is that in Sweden and especially in Stockholm houses like these would be costing 10-12 million Swedish kroner it about 1 mil dollars
I think most of those houses would look pretty pimped out with a big porch added
trades winds 2 is a nice prefabricated house but the closet is your gaming room.
You should have shown the first house last lol. I feel like the first house was just crazy compared to the others.
