Yes sure does, you can complete the same process however, importing old emails from webmail in GW, correct.

Hi Stewart! Thanks for the video. What if you only wanted to import certain folders (or do they call them labels?) - not every email? How would you accomplish moving lots (thousands) but not all emails to a new gmail account? Apprecitate the help.
I would import all and then just remove the files you do not want.
I'm struggling on this. There's article for it called "Exclude data that doesn't need to be migrated" using label, but I was not able to do that. Opened support chat but lost 2h of my life with incompetent support, had to explain over and over again the issue, to finally hear "it is not possible". Showed this article and escalated the issue (I don't even know how they get the job on google). I'll come back if I solve this 👍

I am trying to part of previous worker’s (at my position) important partial email to me so that I can carry out previous pending jobs.
Previous email so huge transaction, it is better to pick up only pending job emails.
What about if I want to import all workspace emails, where I don’t have admin access into a free or another workspace account?

Excellent video Stewart. Now wouldn’t it be quicker and simpler to setup both Gmail accounts in a desktop email client such as Microsoft outlook, selecting the email from one account folder and dragging and dropping to the other account in the desired folder? This would also work for importing non Gmail accounts such as outlook and yahoo as well would it not? Assuming one has access to a desktop email client of course....

If you have allocated folders, this can work for 'some' email clients. There are a few was depending what you use for emails. This is just the most effective and recommended process.

Hi Stewart, thanks for the great guide - I am having issues enabling the 'import' function on the Google admin console. In my console it doesn't give options for Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Setup. I note our account is 'Google Workspace Business Starter'. could this limit the functionality?

Welcome! No your can setup a Google Business Profile for free. You do not need Google Workspace (formally known as G-suite)

I am including the old google workspace log-in credentials into the 'Import mail and contacts' section of the new google workspace. I suggest transferring everything and then removing groups and contacts you don't want.
Could you tell me where that were transferred end up? Are they in their own folder or do they all get sent to Archive mixed in with your own emails?

I followed all of the steps but I get the following error Gmail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below and Could not validate this combination of email address and password. Your migrated emails will remain. Once you have completed the migration and checked all your emails/contacts/folders have moved across you can remove your old gmail.

Every time I type in my password in the POP pop-up box, it says: "Could not validate this combination of email address and password. I was so excited thinking this was it, but I hit another obstacle and I'm hoping you can help. I looked through the comments and didn't see anyone else with the issue.
Mine is two business emails under the same domain. I follow all your instructions for Google Workspace and when it comes time to "sign into your other email account" which I do... it then says this: Name-of-my-company, Inc. Mail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below. Then it gives me a POP username field, a POP server field, and I can edit the port which is defaulted to 110. I'm WAY outside my zone here - would love to get your take if you have the time - just trying to migrate one biz account emails to another : )
