Glad I could help!
if you have issues with missing images, to solve this you need to change the HTML links of the images and upload the images to an storage server like your web page and use this URL into your HTML code
Could you possibly ellaborate what you mean ? Thanks.
Thanks for that mate.
Basically,
If you use let's say WordPress, what you want to do is upload those images to WordPress and take the links and add those in your HTML code. I hope this makes sense.
@@StewartGauld What if I made the images on Photoshop and saved them to my computer?
How bout with a style.css
Very clear and straightforward. Thank you!

Welcome mate!
Hey ! Thanks for the video ! Although I am facing a problem. I have created a HTML file with photoshop and my file contains slices.
I export my project as a HTML file. When I double click on the HTML file I have created, the HTML opens up correctly on a web browser. However when I copy-paste its source code to Gmail, the HTML doesn't open. I can see the line of the design I have created but I can't see the images. I can see some broken images logo instead.
What am I doing wrong ? Am I supposed to upload my projects and photos online before I can use my HTML on Gmail ?
Hope you can help, thanks
Im dealing with the same problem I cant seem to figure it out aswell.
Sorry for late response but its because you have seperate files i mean the css style is seperated and it isnt placed in html file in formule. In order to make it work you should copy all the stuff from .css and make a (paste) thing. Also if i did say something wrong there are some tutorials on youtube. 😊
@@reverbvibes5111 would you point out a tutorial pls

Thank you. I am quite surprised as I was trying it a few weeks ago to no avail. Then I read somewhere that gmail no longer supported html email or something so I assumed it just doesn't work. It works well though.

The images on my HTML email do not show/ go through with the sent email. The body of the email was there, but only links are shown where images should be - please help :-)
Hey mate,
Few people have a similar issues, have a look through the comments for answers people have found and I have added.
I have built a PDF with hyperlinks on Canva. Looking to utilize that design and export to HTML. Any instructions on how to do that? I want to embed in the body to be like an email campaign rather than an attachment. If anyone can assist me here I would greatly appreciate it! I have saved as jpeg, pdf, etc.
Hi mate! That is a process in itself! We will look at putting together a tutorial about creating your own HTML email campaign.
Excellent tutorial!
Thank you! Cheers!
Stewart you are a life Saver.
Welcome 🤗
Hi by default at the beginning of the clip, as you clicked on a new email, how does the popup already have that little graphic thing at the bottom, where your photo is on left and on right your name, email, address, etc is displayed? I want to do such a default setup for my emails.
Hey mate,
You mean an email signature? We have a few tutorials on how you can set this up.
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
Thank you! This helped a lot.
Glad to hear it!
Very helpful video - thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Manya thanks, Stewart.
When I tried it, it looked like working, yet without loading the pictures in the email body.
And when I sent it as test mail, I arrived with the original place holder (999999) as text; nothing more.
Any ideas?
Hey!
That is odd. Make sure you are replacing the placeholder text, also ensure the image path is correct.
Hello, in case you saw this comment: I am at the very beginning with coding and it seems that my images do not get loaded in the newsletter doing so. Any suggestions on why it happens and what to do to fix it? Thank you so much in advance!
Hey!
Make sure your image path is correct.
Awesome Thank you!!!
Welcome!🙏
thank you this is awesome!

Stuart thank you for this video! For some reason, the inserted code processes everything correctly except it's in a very small ....any advice?

That is odd. I will need to look into this.

Hi Stewart, followed the instructions and it appeared in my draft perfectly but when I did a test send to myself, it doesn't go through as it looks in the draft. Any help?
Hey mate,
How does it look in comparison?
@@StewartGauld Hi Stuart! I just attempted this and am getting the same result - in drafts, it appears perfectly. However on the receiving end, all I get is a bunch of blank space.
@@samanthawest3773 Same thing just happened to me! It's just a blank message.
Same here
Same. I see it in the draft but when sent the file goes blank (in the recipient's inbox and in the sent folder)
Perfect, I have and old email design and I open the HTML file and and the images appear, but when I put it in gmail just like you did they dont appear. Can anyone help me?
Hey Rocco,
That's odd. Make sure the path files are correct.
YOU ARE GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Earned a sub for this one.
Thanks mate
Once I send it to a recipient or number of recipients, can go into my sent folder and forward to other recipients or do I have to follow this process for each email?
Hey Jason,
You can but I wouldn't. Send separately.
OMG IT WORKED! tHANK YOU SO MUCH!
Welcome!
Hi, no matter what I do, gmail is not retaining the formatting of my email. For example, I want the email body to be 1/4 of the screen width and centered; the message, once sent, stretches across the entire screen even though it looks right in preview. Any thoughts on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.
Hey mate,
I will have to look into this.

Hi! For some reason, this is not working for me. Once I insert the code all the template appears on the email, all nice and pretty, but when I try to send it for myself, in the email I received it only appears the "99999999". Could you please help me? Thanks
Hey,
That is odd. Try a few times. If you keep getting the same result, I will have to look into this.
@@StewartGauld thanks 😉
I think I may have done something horribly wrong because the HTML is good and showing up on my end, but once it sends, the recipient does not see anything on their end, and if I check my outbox, it shows up the same way. Any suggestions?
Hi mate!
That's not good. You will need to read some of the comments below. I have covered this a few times. Cheers mate.
@@StewartGauld Stewart I took a look through the comments and haven't found any solutions. Any suggestions? I'd love to hop on a quick zoom call or something I'm sure it's actually a very easy fix
Thanks for this video. I followed all the steps, the html appeared after editing but after the sent the only thing that could see was the "999999". Any idea of what went wrong?
Hey mate,
That is odd. Try the process again from the start. If you get this again, you will need to look at the HTML document.
@@StewartGauld Does it work also with UA-cam videos?
I pasted the embeded code (provided by UA-cam) where you paste your HTML code, it looked ok before sending it, it even allowed me to click Play on the video when the email was in draft. After I sent the email, the video was gone :(
same for me. I tried many times. and each time I can see the html before sending. once it was sent out, only 9999999 in the email body. that is weird.
Excellent and Thanks 😀
Welcome 🙏
I tried this with the embed code for a UA-cam video but Gmail just seemed to filter it out....????? Any ideas?
Hi mate,
How did you do that? I suggest using a tool like MailChimp to create campaigns with video.
Friggin genius. How to do it without Gmail business email option, very useful.
Glad you liked it!
Hi Stewart! I just follow your tutorial but it didnt work, when i send it to my friend the picture isnt available and the body email becoming HTML codes
Hi Stephanie,
That is odd. Make sure that your image paths are correct.
I'm trying to do this with a HTML from mailchimp. I paste the HTML code in gmail, looks great on mobile, but the images and text seems moved in desktop. What can I do?
Hey mate,
You will need to work on the responsiveness of your template.
This is very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
@@StewartGauld BTW I just tested you solution, but it didn't work. The email just plain empty without any color. The email still holds the layout and font though. Does it happen to you all as well?
Hi, It does not work for me... After I insert the code and close the "inspect" window, I can see the preview of the template (Exactly as It should be) but once I send it, the email sent will contain only a "dummy text" I wrote at first step... Any advise how to solve that? Thanks in advance!! :)
Hey Daniel,
Does it not appear correctly in your recipients email?
@@StewartGauld No, it does appear just as a text I tried to exchange 😊 In "Inspect" window.
I have a similar problem but the email at the receiving end is completely empty. Looks fine on the send side.
This was a great video! I am trying and I don't know what I am doing wrong. Can you help me figure out why the insert is there, but the images are not showing up. The links are working and everything, just no image.
Hi Pastor,
There are repeated answers below in comments.
@@StewartGauld Yeah. I looked through the comments after I sent the message, but it's not working for me. I'm gonna keep working on it, but I can't find the solution.
Tried embedding a google form into the html of an email and the form isn't showing up once sent. Any thoughts on this?
Hey mate,
I haven't had experience with this. I will have to look into this process.
awesome, thanks!
Our pleasure!
it is not doing it. It sends the placeholder numbers only in the email. not the custom html I did it 2 times and it is not working. I can see the updated. but what am I doing wrong?
I will have to look into this.
@@StewartGauld it is funny. I can see it on the browser. I can send you the sample I. Working with.
I know it is not my code. Cause it's not rocket science 😂 but. My email is on my about a page.
I keep getting "content is blocked, contact site owner" can you help me figure out what that means? I am the owner, and I have went through all my mac and gmail setting and made sure there were no settings to block any content.
I'll have to look more into this.
Thanks, Stewart, for the clear tutorial. When I follow the instructions, the raw html code shows up in the email. What am i missing?
Hey mate,
That is odd. Try is again, by following this process. If you have the same issue let me know.
Excellent presentation. Clear, concise and easy to follow. My problem is that I am trying to use imbeding a 2min UA-cam video. By copying from the YT 'Share' button. Even though everything looks perfect in preview. The gMail / eMail does NOT save. Please advise....thanks
Hey mate,
Embed a YT video into the email itself?
@@StewartGauld Embedding from YT (share HTML) is exactly what I am trying to accomplish. Instead of Text Notification for Training, Instructions etc. I want to simply substitute a 20-30second 'short' video. Why isn't it 'Saving'? Thanks in advance!!
What if the newsletter itself "attached" picture files or non-online accessible materials/graphics, do I just attach that to the email or this method is limited to skilful CSS coders to do only and not recommend picturesque in that email content. If not, could you tell me how? Million thanks Stewart. By the way, your video makes me see hope again. Brilliant!
Hey!
Hmmm good question, I'll have to look into that.
Hey Stewart, thanks for the helpful video, but images used in the HTML does not appear, can you help please,
Hey Jawad,
Check out the other comments for potential solutions.

A quick question I have tried this before and it worked but now whenever I send it goes out only as normal text, any idea why ?
That is odd. I'll have to look into this.
@@StewartGauld I am using internal CSS is that the reason why and if so are we suppose to use inline CSS only ?

I’m glad!
salute to you brother !
Cheers mate!
Love it! How would you embed it into Outlook in the web browser?
Hey Margaret,
All you need to do is insert into the body and it should work.
I wonder if the code has changed in google recently as I struggled to find the placement text in the code. How can I embed an image into that html source code? It will send with a broken link.
Hey mate,
I will have to look into this.
I tried it and the email rendered as expected when I clicked out of the inspector. I sent the email to my Yahoo account. When I opened it, there was only the 6 nines in the email.
Hey mate,
Try it a few times and if you keep getting this issue. There will be something wrong with the file.
@@StewartGauld Thanks for the response. I actually tried the exact same steps using my Yahoo account. I sent it to my google email and it worked. So I will be utilizing this technique moving forward. Quick question. How would I code the subject line and preview text in my email template if I'm using a text editor?
Hi, thank you so much for your video. I followed all the steps and sent the email to myself just to see how it looked and for my surprise there is only a link, not an image. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
Welcome! We are updating this tutorial soon. As it seems to not be working for many.

Hi mate,
Have a look at the comments below, I have answered this question a few times.
Thanks! This video helped a lot but I ran into the same problem some ppl in the comments had: I'm able to paste the html code but none of the images are showing in the test email, basically a white screen (also used a template I made on canva, not sure if that has anything to do with it). To trouble shoot: >open inspect
>clicked the "graphics" tab at the top (elements-console-sources-network-timeline-storage-GRAPHICS-layers-audit)
>scrolled all the way to the bottom and there is a blank line for typing
>I pasted the html code & hit enter on my keyboard
>at the bottom of my html there was a red error message that read:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token '
To add: I also had some 'Refused to apply _________ because it violates the following content security policy directive' red error messages and after researching couldn't figure out how to fix it but I'm assuming it has something to do with the images I used. I don't remember where I went to see that error message bc I was clicking through so many things so I guess if you keep clicking on stuff you'll find it eventually lol
This was one of the most accessible html coding videos I have ever seen! You explained it so simply! I tried to embed it in my email... and it worked. It showed up! The buttons worked and everything.
BUT, when I sent the email to myself to make sure it actually worked.. that section I had just embedded with HTML was a big blank space. I made sure my design was shareable... It was an embedded email template from Canva. What did I do wrong?
Following because same exact issue. With canva as well!
I will have to test this out myself.
That’s what happened with me as well!
