If you have already 11-20mm wide angle then you should go for sigma 30mm f1.4 for potrait video and sigma 56mm 1.4(equivalent to 85mm full frame )for potrait photography.
I picked up the manual version for a good price also for my zv-e10 after watching this. Is it normal that I have to mount it differently from other E-Mounts? I also had to disable the release without shutter option for my camera to work.
Hey! The quality of the Sony Lens 10-18mm is insane! The Rokinon has less contrast and sharpness, something as if it had raised the shadow in "curves" and also as if I lost 2 points in color saturation. Congratulations on the excellent review and lens comparison! Best regards from Brazil!
I have the Samyang manual version of this lens, and it's actually one of my favorite lenses. I use it on my a6400. Easy to focus, and the colors are awesome. Tons of character, almost like a vintage lens. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Ayyyyy thanks for the sub!!! I can definitely do a little low light test with a ZVE-10. I actually got a lot of little late night footage already filmed just from having some fun with this guy. Won’t be too bad for me to put something together for you. I can tell you upfront that I’m not super impressed with the lowlight capabilities of the Sony ZV-E10. The biggest flaw is the Autofocus. As soon as you go over around 3200 your auto focus performance massively degrades. My first test with a Rokinon 12mm was almost all out of focus but I can’t blame that on the lens because when I put it on my FX3 at night I don’t have any problems with it lol"
Another side note is I don’t think that this camera was really designed with low light in mind. It is a crop sensor so in general you will have more noise at higher ISOs and with the crop factor you are always letting in less light. But hey if anybody can show me a $700 camera that is a low light beast then let me know

I was actually referring to the Rokinon. I haven’t done any lowlight stuff with the kit lens yet but will definitely add it into the mix when I’m out and about at night next time. The 2.0 lets in a significantly more bit of light but at the same time you only get so much out of the smaller sensor. Still better than most cell phones though!
Also I’m talking like downtown area darker lighting like a pretty dark lighting conditions. I will do a video on it so you can get a better idea of what I’m talking about honestly I’ll probably start it this weekend
I would recommend the 16mm 1.4 for the best lowlight but for a wider field of view the 12mm is great if you are in a small space and it's only 2 stops difference. 100ISO vs 400ISO for example. So not a massive lowlight difference but noticable especially at high ISOs but if you got lights already definitely think about the field of view you want first.

Absolutely that is actually just a free title graphic in premiere pro 👌🏽 if you narrow the results to the free options you should find it pretty fast in the essential graphics panel
To be honest I do not know too much about that Irix 11mm and have never used it so I don't want to tell you one way or another. However, if it is the same lens that I'm kind of looking at online right now then this is an F4 lens versus the Rokinon being an F2. I would rather have the f2 for lowlight to minimize noise in my shots but if you are talking photo 11mm might be better for astrophotography but again the f4 makes me question it for lowlight usage. 12mm to 11mm is a noticable difference in angle of view but I think I would take the 12mm. Just my initial thoughts from checking out the Irix 11mm. Thanks for introducing me to a new lens BTW and thank you for watching. Hey man, great video. Question. I'm picking up the zv e10 and do two person video interviews indoors and outdoors. Want a bokeh, wide field of view, and light to travel. Which lense would you use? Rokinon AF 12mm f2 or Sigma 16 f1.4 or something else?
For interviews I would get something like a 50mm 1.8 and a 16mm 1.4. Something similar to that. You will want something tight and something wide. I usually put my wide angle on a tripod and get my tight shots on a gimbal with the tighter lens. 16mm 1.4 will probably be your best bet for a wide for interviews on the ZV-e10 it will be a 24mm and your 50 would be a 75mm
i have bought a ULANZI WL-3 for shooting wider and not sure if it is much difference with the rokinon lens you suggested ? should i consider to get one too?
They are the exact same lens!! Just get the cheapest one at the time. Or the one that is on sale. Rokinon is the North American version of Samyang. Exact same lens just rebranded and sold in North America. (There is a little more to the 2 brands but this is it in short maybe I will do a video about the two brands)
For real estate I think this would be a pretty good lens! It is ultra wide and has a pretty wide aperture. I think it also depends on how you like to shoot real estate. For example some people like to shoot real estate with no lighting whatsoever. In that case they would definitely want something with a large aperture. However if you shoot real estate with the lighting you can probably get away with something like the 10-18 which would be a nice focal range for real estate. I think you could get away with anything that is 18mm-24mm equivalent on a fullframe
@@JamesDBuzzard I don't have an experience of Mirrlees camera I am using my cell phone camera but the cell phone exposure usually struggle in the low light situation that is the reason why I am going to buy Mirrlees camera.
You are on the right track!! Upgrading to a larger camera sensor will definitely give you better lowlight performance and you will right away see better image quality. I think even the kit lens and the ZV-E10 will be a better experience for real estate photography/ video

turn off the in camera stabilization and run that through Sony catalyst browse.
I will definitely be doing a video demoing catalyst browse on a few different lenses including an old manual focus vintage lens!! 👌🏽
