Great job of the video! You guys were very detailed on how to use the ramen convenience store. So nice meeting you both and hope we can meet up this spring, as we'll be heading to Tokyo!
Tip: leaving the ramen as a whole block cooks the noodles at a different rate than it would if you had played with them and separated the noodles in the broth. When you separated the noodles, it exposes more of the surface area of the noodle strands and thus they cook faster than the described cooking time on the package. That’s why you felt it was a bit overcooked
What a great concept--so convenient and such variety! I loved the post-it note "wallpaper." I hope you guys added to it. 😊 Thank you for the Korean ramen adventure, and a special thank you for including a vegan option. The toppings bar was such a plus. Love to you both. 💜💜
That ramen store is amazing! If I lived there, I might be eating ramen every day! I love that the labeling is so clear and that there are vegan options! 😍
Been loving your videos!!!!! Love that you have the American culture/Japanese culture insights on travel/food and really appreciate the information you give. Thank you!!!!
Satoshi got the sesame ramen mild. Yea, I'm korean, I prefer package ramen over cup ramen. I think package ramen tastes way better and the soup is more flavorful. I'm the same way. I prefer my noodles on the firmer side. Cause while you eat, the noodles gonna get softer and soak up the soup.
Yep, I always noticed that that package ramen is better than cup ramen. I guess it's the noodles, since cup is made to be cooked with just kettle water instead of continuous boiling
Even with that beard, Satoshi looks like a big kid lol! The two of you are like the two protagonist from the Frog & Toad are Friends children's storybook. Clean, family-friendly and heartwarming.
One of these opened up in north Taipei. Fun convenient thing but I still like making ramyun at home with the old fashioned Korean copper pots. Wish Korean food was better in Taiwan, it's so localized, the banchan are always lackluster, and it seems restaurants only serve soondubu, kalbi, bibimbap, and ramyun. So much more to Korean food.
Lol, it's possible in Asia not because of the "culture" or whatever but because of how harsh the punishment for stealing is. You are basically guilty until proven innocent, Japan itself has a 99% conviction rate and inmates are treated terribly. It's just not worth it.
They need to recoup fees for bowls and toppings and machinery and utility bills. It’s an experience. If you can’t get the basics of how economics work it’s very sad. The owners need to make profit so they can be in business.
Now I'm craving instant ramen with lots of extra toppings but it's 2 a.m. so will need to wait until tomorrow. So sad... Glad you both had a great experience at this shop!
Here's something I enjoy about Japan , most of the things that you can go and do in there, only works in Japan. case and points, the place that your in right now in the video.
Unsupervised food, especially the fresh add-ons, makes me nervous. People can be cruel. I am thinking about the person who spit in food and teacups at a sushi conveyor bar. I have also heard of staff spitting in food for complaining customers, but I would rather take my chances with that, since I very rarely complain. I won't even mention other hazards.
Shinichi mentioning the five vegan ramen as if that’s a lot 😅 I would eat them since I’m a pescatarian, and it’s genuinely disappointing how few there are
I'm so proud of my homeland for this haha. I wish we could have this in the U.S. but people would just steal
Yeah wish we could have these in Australia, but same, stuff would get stolen more than paid for. 😢

We will definitely meet up! Glad to have bumped into you!

The free toppings they offer are generous! I wish we had something like this where I live. I love ramen, especially for breakfast!
I never thought I would enjoy watching someone make instant noodles. You guys keep me totally amused. Thank you, Muffy from Oz (Australia)
I’m glad it’s no where near where I live. I’d be there everyday. Thanks for sharing.

We did!

🤤🤤🤤
Brilliant idea, wish we had this in Scotland
It's amazing that this exists, I'd love to start a business like this here in NZ, but I know people will just steal and trash the place. So sad.
I am definitely going! YUMM!!! Great video guys
Feels like a place made to live your Ramen Hacks dreams.

i wish they would make one in hawaii looks so fun
That looks like so much fun! Thanks for the awesome video, always happy to see you two.
Thanks for watching!
Pretty cool. I'd be overwhelmed.
Gomtang is made from boiling beef bones (usually oxtail) for a really long time, ends up being a milky color.
Awesome. I actually saw this on Facebook a few weeks ago
This is an absolutely wonderful concept 👍❤
What a cool shop. I would love to try this place.
Love Ramyun!!! Just had a spicy one with some cheese egg, springonion and steamed gyoza in it.
Wow that’s so nice n very convenient 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😋
I love ramen! Yum!🥢🍲😋

韩国资源匮乏,只能吃拉面,当美食。
Happy Birthday Sinichi!!🎉🥳🎂🎁🍨 Have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much 😊
10:46 this is ox bone soup based, similar to seolleongtang myeon. It is best to eat with green onions only...

グリフさんからきました。とても心地よい動画ですね。落ち着いた声と食べ物どちらも大好きです。また俺得のチャンネルを見つけてしまった。
Thanks for picking a Vegan ramen ! Enjoy your channel.
It looked so good, I now need noodles…. Yum. ❤
I’d be willing to try it for the novelty.
We could never have something that nice and cool in the USA. Unfortunately.
Lol, it's possible in Asia not because of the "culture" or whatever but because of how harsh the punishment for stealing is. You are basically guilty until proven innocent, Japan itself has a 99% conviction rate and inmates are treated terribly. It's just not worth it.
I would have wanted a little cheese as topping too and egg
i loved this place so much, eveyrhting else was closed already by the time i got into town 😅
This would have been so fun in America but unfortunately, theft and vandalism rate is high here where we now resort to locking up products now.
Americans would destroy this in 5 minutes 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Neat
"No Eggs cuz risk of fire" I would love to know the story behind the reason for that note.
Belated happy bday sinrchi san.kong hei fat soi advance.
Thanks!
Imagine such a shop in say Berlin, Paris or NYC. It would get robbed blind within an hour.
I cannot imagine having these in finland. People would steal everything and leave mess after eating.
Why didn't you mention in the title that it was in Korea?
Yes they did. This is the title of the video: INSANE! Ramen Convenience Store in Seoul Korea. Please check it.
I dig the concept, but $4 for a pack of instant noodles is a bit steep. I love that they have takuan though, I love that stuff.

You're so welcome!

That’s not Japan. It’s Korea.
@@JumboJuneau , okay.
