Myojo Char Mee 100 was originally 100 grams in the normal instant noodle packaging. It was considered 15 to 25 grams heavier than the normal sized instant noodles. Eventually, the reduced the weight to normal size but kept the 100 label.
If you like instant laksa, you should try Primataste Laksa La Mian. It is not in a cup form though. For something that is more uniquely Singapore, you could also try the salted egg instant noodles. I do remember the Nissin Tom Yam which is a fav of mine growing up. Char Mee as you mentioned translates to fried noodles. The closest dish that I can think of is the breakfast fried noodles in dark soy. Mee Pok refers to the type of noodle and not the taste of the dish. You can have mee pok with different types of noodle dish in Singapore like the fishball noodles, bak chor (mince meat) noodles, even wontan noodles. I think someone else already described soto more thoroughly than I could. LOL
The mee pok is just the dry pork noodle dish you see just about everywhere. The flat noodles are just one type of noodles available that you can have with that type of dish.
Soto is an Indonesian soup dish, a dish with broth, meat and vegetables. Almost every region in Indonesia has their own version, but I think the one in Gaga Kuah Soto is Soto Ayam (chicken soto), the strong lime taste is because lime is our must have garnish when eating any kind of soto. Kuah means broth, so basically soup, and goreng means fried, so it means it's a fried noodles. Gaga has level 3 and 7 for the noodles, it's Chipotle, Black Pepper, and Habanero flavours.. But they're not available in cup versions yet for the time being.
Cup Man was doing his calisthenics today. 😆 Everything sounded so interesting. I don't often eat cup noodles, so I love hearing your opinions on them--the Tom Yam, Kuah Soto, and Char Mee appealed most to me, I think. Thanks for another tantalizing video, guys. 💙💙
The Chilli Crab flavour is my favourite Nissin flavour. :) Oh and i like this line of Myojo noodles. My favourites are the Mala Xiang Guo, the Mee Goreng and the Mee Pok.
Glad you like the beer :) Fun to see, but I never really like lemongrass and most dishes from Southeast Asia are heavy on that. i do like to try the black pepper crab.
I just wanted To tell you guys that I think your videos are great, in addition you both are a good team on and off the screen. I hope you keep it up for many more videos . 😁😀😊
It’s good to see brand and type of noodles you like and describe. Sometimes, I’m not sure if I’d like or could be allergic to. I don’t read another language sadly. So thank you for being our noodle guinea pigs. Cheers… 😊
Such good choices! Black pepper crab is my favourite! You have to try the real black pepper crab version next time. A whole new world from chilli crab 😂 And Char Mee 100 is so popular in Singapore as a household favourite. Love this tasting video!
I have to admit I don't necessarily watch you guys regularly, I need to be in a mood. And today is the day, I'm feeling rough and you guys are just the perfect pick me up. Love your channel and you always inspire me to look for new foods to try!
In South East Asia, we don't call our instant noodles as "ramen" or "instant ramen". Only Americans do that. Here we know ramen and instant noodles are two different things.
It's somewhat entertaining to see instant noodles I'd pass by whenever I go window shopping in supermarkets being enjoyed overseas. The Nissin Pepper Crab, Tom Yum & Laksa ramen are also available in Potato Chip form (for some reason; it seems to be a Singaporean thing to chip-ify local cuisine as a gimmick), and Myojo also sells Mala Xiang Guo dry noodles (though that might be a limited time item).
tip from a Dutch (from the Netherlands) person, the X in "Texels" is actually pronounced like an S, and Texels means that it is a beer brand from the Dutch island called Texel
Interesting that your put the soup base and seasoning after the noodles have been soaked in the hot water and ready to eat. I usually put everything in and wait till ready to eat. I think this will give a deeper and more intense flavour. And I'll usually cover the cup with a bigger plate so that it will completely close the seal without gaps for the heat to escape :D If you seen those packet instant noodles, you will find that there is actually a spicy version of mee pok.
When you are back in SG again go to Bedok Central Food Centre n head to Inspirasi for the best Soto Ayam. My favourite Soto stall for years. There’s always a long line n they are closed on Sunday. Yummzz
Next time you come to Singapore, why not do a day-trip across the border into Johor Bahru, Malaysia? Tonnes of restaurants Singaporeans like to visit on weekends.

Char Mee is my absolute favourite. Been eating that since a kid. "Char Mee" don't exist in any hawker centre. It generally just meant fried noodle.
I bet, before you guys finish the entire video, you guys are so full, but you push through, just for us, and I humbly thank you for that.

I love how Satoshi waits to see Shinichi's reaction to that last noodle flavor before trying them himself.
“the smaller amount will save our lives” 😂 Your videos are always so entertaining and comforting and never fail to make me hungry!

💛...it would be nice to have more variety here in the states... those look great...
Out of this lot, I like the Myojo Char Mee best! You won't find any hawker stalls in Singapore selling these noodles though. Lol
I also like char mee. But meepok has gd texture...
You missed all the good ones!!! Prima Taste is the supreme ruler of Instant noodles. Singapore has by far the best instant noodles.
I am not a fan of their instant laksa noodles.

There's no such thing as Laksa ramen. Ramen is a Japanese cuisine. Laksa is South East Asia. The correct term is Laksa cup noodles
Those look super interesting. Thanks TabiEats.
You should try indomee, it's a popular instant noodle in Indonesia 🇲🇨
watching this in Singapore
Yum! I remember eating noodles almost every night in college. Spices help.
Seriously Char Mee is every Singaporean fav❤ You got the right choice! 😀😀

Prima Taste is the supreme ruler of Instant noodles from Singapore.
Wondering why the laksa one has egg noodles instead of thick beehoon.

Mr cupman is back!!
My top fave cup noodles: Char Mee, Chilli Crabby, Black pepper crabby & laksa❣️
Im a singaporean, and ive never seen Gaga cup noodles before. Anyone knows where to get them from?
Nice assortment. I've never had a cup noodle soup but may actually try one. Maybe it's just cause I think the cupman is so cute. ;)

Yummy!! I love the noodles
I like these videos
Char (やぃ) Mee (めん)
I thought Gaga instant noodle from Indonesia 😂
Lady Gaga?
Char mee 100 doesn't exist as a hawker dish. You won't be able to find it.
In the USA we do not have a lot of the extra goodies like Singapore does
This was nice
Haha...You need the MILK to drink after eating the spicy foods.😉🤭 It works the best!
Koka is the only brand for me.
👍
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
W video sg 🔛🔝🔥🔥😬😬😬😱😱😱
Uhm, did Satoshi’s beard become a bit less grey ???
from my phone i thought it said. 100 EXTRA PEDOS.
AWESOME thank you.
Not Singapore instant Ramen unless it Koka or Prima.
Next time you come to Singapore, why not do a day-trip across the border into Johor Bahru, Malaysia? Tonnes of restaurants Singaporeans like to visit on weekends.
