- The story of my table… I bought a table for $10 and I upgraded it for a Hometalk Live show. Sadly the veneer didn’t hold the paint and it started chipping up. I am excited to share the re-do of this table with Dixie Belle Paint Company products!!!

Hi. From Texas. Thanks
Thanks for watching
Greeting from wisconsin!! Could you have used a roller to apply the paint?
I haven't tried using a roller and you don't want too thick a coat of the glaze before using the tool
Hi Chaz! I am redoing an old drip leaf table with driftwood and gravel road. The table is solid wood. Since the table is scuffed hardwood would I necessarily have to add the glaze?
If you're not using the wood grain tool, then no. If you are using the wood grain tool the glaze buys you more time to work with the paint.
I have that tool never used it before but im going to play around with it on my TV trays do u have to use a glaze
It's a lot of fun

watching from Petoskey Michigan. I'm hoping to use this technique on an outdoor wooden porch floor. Any recommendations for floor paint? Floor stain? Protective covering? THANKS!
I like the brand Kilz for floor paint :) I would coat with several layers of polycrylic

Love it! I'm attempting to do this with a buffet table that I'm working on, however I'm not getting nearly the beautiful results that you get so easily! Mine appears to be blurry, or more blended together and not nearly as crisp edges as yours!
Hi Stephanie, what kind of glaze are you using with the wood grain tool? It might be that. If you want to connect with me through my website, I could take a look at a photo of what you have going on and see if I can help. chascrazycreations.com/contact-us-2/

Looks like fun and great job!
Thank you Ronny :)
I love this table. Can you tell me what other name products I can use? Where can I find in Myrtle Beach SC these products your using? I have a new house there and I’m watching from NY. I am moving to my new house and I am decorating it Grey and White and other Beach like southern colors. I would love to make a sign from wood with a saying on it. I love the wood grain look. I also have frames around my bathroom mirrors that is like a plastic wood veneer that just is not the right color for my marble like quarts white and grey counters. I am making a Beach guest room and bathroom. This looks amazing. I would love to see wood with a shelf or two for a bathroom to hang that is wood grain weathered look to make it Beachy over my toilet. I would love to talk in more Dept to you and send you pictures! This way you can see what I’m talking about. I think the farmhouse or wood grain look is so in all over the country now. I just love how this table looks. DYI is the way to go and sometimes repurpose items I have 💚💚💚💚💚✔️✔️✔️✔️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Randy and thank you so much :) You can find the full tutorial with the products used on my website here - chascrazycreations.com/faux-wood-grain-table/ and you can email me through my website (look at the top of my website and select "contact me").
I'm in Charleston, WV going to attempt to do my hardwood floors upstairs. Where can you get the slick stick? I hope it comes in a gallon.
I'm so excited you're going to give it a try. Yes it comes in a gallon and you can get it here - rstyle.me/+8mIOKnScBUQIkx11AQkxHg

Watching from Odenwald Germany. Actually, I am looking for ideas to work on faux wood beams. I wonder if this tool works on hard styrofoam?
Thanks for watching, if the Styrofoam is smooth then it should work. If there are bumps in the Styrofoam, those might show through.
I won't to get one where Don I get one joan makowski
Thank you! 😊
what paints do you use . eve from uk
I used Dixie Belle Paint in this video
Very helpful video! What technique do you recommend for achieving a mid century light blonde finish having a "streaked" pattern? Thx
Thank you. I would dry brush the light with a blonde stain or glaze.

Can I do this on linoleum floors?
They have some products that are good for other floors too, and I would check out their website and chat with them directly.
Can this wood grain process be used on walls?
Yes it can
How would I make a bathroom wall look like a bunch of birch trees? I'm thinking black on first and then white and use the graining tool. But would the white cover the black.
