I really enjoyed this video. He is full time working but lives the big life in a small van. In a world where resources are diminishing so fast, we need to hear E. F. Schumancer's message "Small is Beautiful", make 20% feel like 80% - Mike does that! I love how he has normalized an alternative lifestyle, and that is how we should all be like. How he made everything he needed shows resourcefulness and that innovative spirit we find in pioneers. Made my morning - big thanks to all involved in the making of the video. There is a Danish word that sums up the feeling of Mike's van - "hygge."

@@aleksandar4756 I'm just admiring someone who seems truly happy. I hope you're happy too!
@@jennburahh Of course he’s happy, he doesn’t have to live the horrible awful life that 99% of people live. He’s living the life of luxury.
This is awesome! Well put together! I lived the minimal life aboard my 40’ Sail Boat for 10 years with my wife and little ones. It was truly a great experience and even tho I am grateful for our new home on land, I still miss the simple things that came with living in a much small space.
For some reason, i enjoyed watching this video more than those fancy, high tech van life videos..
There's is nothing more satisfying thing than a moving home to an Adventurous person. I mean you can travel around the world as much as you can, but having your home right beside you while travelling is just a different level of satisfaction.
Always enjoy the living in different van videos. It's refreshing, something different. Have a great week.
I’m happy for you because your strong will your not broken and still loving life may all the blessing in the world come to you 🙏🏽
I like how he kept it simple
Nothing fancy just what he needs and low cost and low maintenance.
I just brought a van to live in. Just for the summer tho my lease is up on my current place next month. So after watching thousands of UA-cam videos I'ma give van life a try
Do itttt
Gotta figure out how to keep the van cool in the summer time.
How's it coming along
Dude stay comfy
@@belingonza318 If you have water, evaporative cooling, keep it wet. Of course there will be the issue of calcification if the water isn't pure so frequent cleaning and waxing may be needed. You might be able to fabricate some indirect evaporative coolers such as a corrugated metal sheet with water sprayed on the outside to cool the inside
This gentleman’s ingenuity and organization is incredible! He truly has made the most of his situation. Wishing him all the best in his future.
I love this guy's energy. He's lovely.
Canadians for you!
Love it! I lived houseless for 4 years in an extended van, I lived large too! Miss it every single day. Just 4 months away from living large again! Can't wait! Maybe I'll see you out there! Peace, health and safety to you!
"Get in the van if you can "
The sliding couch / bed is pretty slick. Nice design on that
I lived in a van for a year. Your set up is much nicer than mine was. It was very liberating experience for me
My grandad told me it’s not possessions that made him happy but having great experiences with loved ones like a hot air balloon ride over the Lake District, going on a horse ride, even a day at the seaside and family holidays etc. I think he was right, what will bring me more peace on my death bed knowing I’d accumulated a load of things or accumulated a lifetime of amazing memories with loved ones?
Does that even matter?
Even that it's still cost something
My daughter was recently hit by a car( at a cross walk) While she is off work with a broken hand, she has been enjoying different things i life, because her dominant hand is injured,so she cant ride her bike or swim or cross stich,or lift weights right now or teach dance but....she is enjoying wslks in woods, she bought a hammock and lays in woods quietly on her own with a book and watches wildlife, shes developed an interest in plants wild edibled, mushrooms etc,a change in your lufeu can really show u some wonderful new things u did not have time for b4 or notice even.
Yea but notice how so,e of those experiences requires possessions. Not saying you need possessions, but life requires some objects , whether it be for survival or experiences like you described.
@@Chaos_Nova yes. But the idea is minimal possessions
